If you already speak a language and need to fine tune pronunciation this app is good. If you are a beginner, don’t bother it’s far too advanced. It gives you statements to repeat with no phonetic spelling. It’s virtually impossible for Greek since the alphabet is different and you can’t sound it out unless you know the alphabet.

You’re absolutely right that the current version is better suited for learners who already have some foundation in the language. NativePal was initially designed to help intermediate learners overcome the speaking barrier and improve pronunciation through active practice.

We understand that this can feel challenging as a beginner, especially with languages that use a different alphabet like Greek. That’s very fair feedback.

We’re currently working on a major 3.0 update that will introduce structured grammar lessons, vocabulary practice, reading exercises, and personalized learning paths — making the app much more beginner-friendly and supportive from the start.

You need to pay to use it more than twice. I guess if you want to fund this, go ahead. But theres better apps that are free or cheaper

We do offer a free tier that includes 5 teleprompter exercises, 5 audio messages, and 1 daily speaking challenge — and the limits reset every day, so you can practice consistently without paying.

Because the app uses AI features behind the scenes, we can’t make everything unlimited for free. But we’re working on new updates that will add reading, grammar, and vocabulary practice — including more content available on the free tier.

This app serves absolutely no purpose whatsoever unless you spend money.  
I can talk to real people on HelloTalk for free.

I’ve been looking for something like this for a long time! it is basically someone to chat with that is a native speaker who will correct your grammar, usage, help you to gain fluency and clarity. For example, I speak only Spanish with my young son, and when I want to convey something to him, I will often consult this app for the best way to do so.Sometimes in the moment, sometimes I do it later after he is in bed and I’m thinking about how I should have said something. Extremely helpful tips, it will suggest multiple ways of saying something like a native speaker and explain every detail.
