In earphones, the different layers of a single sound setting often feel as if they’re coming from multiple distances or various directions — but in a very pleasing way. Makes for a totally immersive feel. And the quality of sound is very crisp and smooth. Very nice. I’ve used it for years and still go back to it often (despite having several other apps in the same genre). I even just paid to unlock the rest of the sounds and have it add free. It’s worth getting even without that. There is nothing soothing here. Each repetitive loop becomes invasive in your head and all you want to do is end it. Peaceful sounds does not describe this app ### 1/5 — Can’t recommend due to noise pollution *2023-01-13* The most important thing with an app like this is that the sound is pure. With at least three of the soundscapes I can hear background noise after using my EarPods for any amount of time. It’s incredibly faint but it’s there. And once you hear it you can’t I hear it. And it loops so often (after a few seconds) that it’s all you can hear! A dog barking in one? Music in another? It’s therefore not fit for purpose. ### 1/5 — Distracting *2021-10-20, version 1.7* After listening to bose sleep aid’s soundscapes I’m afraid nothing else will do. Only reason I installed your app is because my sleep aids ran out of juice after not charging them long enough. I’m sorry but your quiet noise (brown) did nothing for me and after listening to ocean sounds I gave up and instead came here to rate your soundscapes. It’s supposed to be relaxing and lull you into peaceful sleep. I couldn't relax as I found your sounds distracting, sorry it didn’t work out. M. I especially like being able to select the amount of hours I’d like for it to play.
