### 4/5 — Pretty good

*2025-08-18, version 1.13*

Good renderings of the electronic charts. I wish it wouldn’t switch to the lower resolution rendering of the map so readily when I zoom out.

### 2/5 — Not the best

*2023-08-06, version 1.7*

You can download charts and scroll around/zoom, but that’s about it. No real interactivity on the chart (being able to click on chart details like channel markers to get expanded details? Nope. Ability to set waypoints in a course? Nope. Ability to measure distance between two arbitrary points? Nope).

It’s not bad, it’s just not really useful on the boat.

### 3/5 — Question?

*2023-05-12, version 1.7*

Fine looking map, are charts available for N.E. Oklahoma?

### 4/5 — Beautiful App, but…

*2023-01-08, version 1.6*

This App provides great charts, however we live in the state of Washington near Canada which also has beautiful waterways that we love to explore, the provided charts Do Not include these needed Canadian waters charts.

I’ll be glad to update the star rating to 5 stars if you’ll provide charts for the waterways between Washington and Alaska (the Canadian coastal waters).

You have a really good thing going, please make it Great by adding the West Coast Canadian waterway charts!

### 4/5 — Simple

*2022-12-19, version 1.6*

Simple chart program. Puts you on a Noaa chart. Lacks tools were accustomed to. Great value though. I’m hoping the developer will add a few tools. I’d gladly pay more if they’d add marks routing and a caliper tool. Keep it simple though. I payed 50 bucks for the original Navionics. Was really happy to do so. Now that they’ve gotten greedy and made it a ridiculous subscription I’m out. This app and its potential are a breath of fresh air.

### 2/5 — No maps???

*2022-09-02, version 1.5*

I am trying to use it as a nautical chart but it looks more like Apple Maps. Is it because I am abroad? It didn’t exclude anything when I was looking at the app presentation.

I think I am doing something wrong and I will change my rating when I figure it out or get assistance. Otherwise I will have to ask for a refund

### 4/5 — Great so far

*2022-08-25, version 1.5*

It is handy for planning, needs a key/legend to identify the obstructions and markers etc. I like how after the maps are downloaded it easily transition from area to area. Would recommend it for an additional navigational aid.

### 1/5 — No inland rivers,lakes or springs

*2022-05-17, version 1.3*

Wasted $$$

### 4/5 — Maps no longer available?

*2022-02-20, version 1.1.15*

After response from supportI was able to download the RNC maps that have not yet been discontinued. Thank you!

### 1/5 — App crashes on download

*2021-09-05, version 1.1.12*

Unable to download maps. Apps terminates immediately.

### 3/5 — It’s good but…

*2021-08-20, version 1.1.12*

It’s good but for some reason you can’t download most maps

They have a very small selection for offline use

NOAA has them all for free I was just trying to find something to display but this isn’t it

Anyways if in service it does seem like it uses raster well

### 1/5 — Unpolished

*2021-07-31, version 1.1.12*

Very poor load times, sections of the maps will flicker in and out chart mode into what looks like Google maps. Regret paying money for the maps.

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2021-03-30, version 1.1.11*

The first app I’ve ever downloaded where I was charged more than list price. Add to that the fact that the charts are incomplete and you have a waste of time and money.
Look elsewhere

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Seamaster

*2026-05-14, version 1.14*

Working only in USA don’t purchase

### 1/5 — No bueno on iPad

*2026-02-04, version 1.14*

This app looked so promising to me. So I purchased it, downloaded it. And all it does is show a very basic map. Oh, I can pan over to the Atlantic but it literally shows nothing more than my iPad’s Maps app does. Less in fact! I sure hope I missed something, but I don’t think so. Ugh!

### 1/5 — Appears to only be for offshore

*2026-01-25, version 1.14*

I bought hoping to get more insights on bays e.g. Tampa Bay and also rivers. No such luck with this app. If you go offshore, seems alright. I don’t go offshore, so this app is useless for me.

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2024-08-05, version 1.12*

Downloading charts for offline use crashes app randomly on a fully updated iPad.

Wish there was a trial version that I could have used BEFORE I threw away $8.99.

App deleted, money wasted.

### 1/5 — No chart detail

*2024-07-13*

No chart detail, just looks like an Apple Maps image. Emailed and response was they were having trouble with a server error

### 1/5 — No plotting tools!!!

*2023-08-10, version 1.7*

I mistakenly thought that this was a legitimate NOAA product. Turns out it uses NOAA charts but is in no way associated with NOAA. It has absolutely no tools available for plotting routes in advance or tracking while underway. Useless for advance plotting and dead reckoning.

### 1/5 — DOES NOT cover freshwater..

*2023-02-03, version 1.6*

Complete waste of money if u want it for fresh water.. doesn’t even show water only a yellow screen

### 1/5 — Waste

*2022-11-17, version 1.5*

Waste of money. Can’t add routes or waypoints. Useless

### 1/5 — Caution

*2022-08-18, version 1.5*

After purchasing the app I was notified that the app isn’t working properly, with no timeline for a fix. That was two weeks ago and still nothing. When I tried to contact the company, I heard nothing back! I guess I’m not surprising though, they did take my money for a product they can’t deliver!

### 1/5 — Complete Waste

*2022-07-21, version 1.5*

I researched numerous different apps and most had expensive subscriptions. This one was a cheaper one time fee of $9. That enticed me and I went for it.

After downloading the app and the charts where I fish (St. Lawrence River, one of the bigger rivers in the US) I basically got a Google Map knock off with hardly any charts. Downloaded it for charts and there’s hardly any depth charts.

I’m a tech savvy 29 year old and I’ve spent a half hour on this app and it hasn’t gotten better. I don’t feel like I’m missing anything, it’s just not good. But hey, it could be me. And if it is I’m truly sorry for leaving a crappy review

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Ted

*2025-06-27, version 1.13*

Easy to use, no passwords right when I need it. Perfect.

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2025-04-24, version 1.13*

After looking around to purchase some charts I found this app. Worth every penny. Great tool to have in addition to my electronics.

### 5/5 — Finally

*2024-09-06, version 1.12*

Nice to have a mapping program that doesn’t take a computer genius to figure out. All I wanted was maps I can use to see where things are without the big whistle and bells. And the big $$$$

### 5/5 — Love this simple app

*2024-07-17, version 1.12*

Used it in Destin FL to navigate a rented pontoon boat.

### 5/5 — Happy to have it

*2022-02-06, version 1.1.15*

Makes things easy

### 5/5 — Simple and all you need

*2021-07-08, version 1.1.12*

No subscription. Detailed map. See yourself on it. Offline maps too. What else do you need.

Get it.

### 5/5 — Great!!

*2021-05-02, version 1.1.11*

This app is very simple and straightforward and the price is right. I use it for planning fishing trips.

### 5/5 — Tutorial?

*2020-08-12, version 1.1.9*

So far so great. So much to learn and info to learn. Is there a tutorial video?

### 5/5 — Excellent content and value for boaters.

*2020-07-13, version 1.1.9*

Tons of content and ability to download for use offline. Overlay of weather conditions. Thanks.

### 5/5 — Well done

*2020-07-11, version 1.1.9*

I dig this app. It has yet to crash on me. I use it to periodically check my position while sailing and to research where to go next. It would be nice if it had a speed and course indicator, but I still give it 5 stars.
