## What is Nautilus?

For the hours you spend studying or working alone. While you dive, the apps you chose truly won't open. Exams, certifications, deep work included.

Nautilus folds three things into one action: dive.

REAL BLOCKING, AT THE OS LEVEL
Tap to dive, and the apps you chose (social, YouTube, etc.) are shielded on the spot via Screen Time. Not a reminder — while you're diving, those apps genuinely won't open. Block sets change per focus type (e.g. Reading vs. Coding).

DUMP A DISTRACTION IN 3 SECONDS
A stray "I need to do that" mid-session? Jot it down from the Lock Screen or Dynamic Island in about 3 seconds, without leaving focus. Everything you dumped is waiting for you when you surface.

SURFACE, AND IT'S ALREADY A JOURNAL
When you surface, that session becomes a log entry automatically — what you dove into, how long, what distractions you dumped. No manual logging.

DESIGNED FOR ZERO GUILT
No red badges. A zero-minute day isn't punished. "Depth," the number that reflects your focus quality, only ever goes up.

Blocking relies on the device's Screen Time framework.

• Improved syncing with the shared ocean after a connection is interrupted.
• Fixed sync failures when retrying discovery uploads and out-of-order updates to dive activity.

• Choose vessels unlocked through your achievements.
• See active vessels and their depths in the shared ocean. Expand the view and tap a vessel for details.
• Discovery records now show fish rated 3 stars or higher, with fish artwork.
• Fixed an issue where your selected vessel could fail to appear in the shared ocean.
• Updated the privacy policy to describe data used for analytics and shared ocean features.

### 2.1 — 2026-08-31

- After surfacing, you can tap a fish you caught to open its entry in Species. Going back returns you to the list.
- Rarer fish are now easier to pick out in the list.
- The sequence that plays for a rare catch now shows the fish itself.
- Swipe the stats card in Dive log to look back at past weeks and months.

### 2.0 — 2026-08-24

- Fish now appear while you dive. The ones you meet are recorded in the Field Guide (48 species in all).
- You can now choose a sea region: Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, and Arctic.
- Added Harbor. Pearls earned by focusing can be spent on submarine upgrades and consumables.
- When you surface, everything you earned in that session is now shown together.
- Added Everyone's Sea. You can see how many people are diving right now, along with other people's dive records. No account needed.
- Added a tab bar at the bottom: Home, Field Guide, Everyone's Sea, Harbor, and Dive log.
- Added swimming fish and marine snow to the diving screen.
- Added Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, and Traditional Chinese.
- Fixed an issue where the Screen Time permission prompt could appear again every time you opened the app.
- Fixed an issue where parts of the app were shown in Japanese in other languages.

### 1.3 — 2026-08-12

- After you surface, Nautilus may ask you to rate the app (at most once per version).
- Added anonymous usage analytics to improve the first-run experience.
- Cleaned up the descriptions in Settings.
