All it's useful for are the Colregs which I could have gotten a PDF file of if that's all I wanted. If you want the col regs. Google col regs. Copy and past them for free. Buy a documents app ( that is fantastic ) and copy it in there. Your outlay is $.99. Changing from rule to rule not in sequence means having to press menu, then Part then Rule. It needs to be easier to select a specific rule more quickly. 8F (iii) is not correctly formatted to match (i) and (ii). Visualisation of lights on ships for Part C is a good way to help with the description of what’s required. This could be used in other rules as well such as Rule 9 and 10. ### 3/5 — Not quite a reprint. *2012-03-12, version 3.0* This is almost an accurate copy of the navigation rules of the road with a few exceptions. There is no differentiation between international and inland rules. Having the rules on your cell phone may give some credence to having your phone in the wheelhouse, but I doubt it. Overall a very useful app, I would buy it again. ### 3/5 — Great except... *2012-02-26, version 3.0* The app has everything, assuming all you want is a 100% copy of the actual coast guard manual. The pictures suggest there might be additional features (light flash cards, etc), but that is not the case. It is simply a searchable form of the actual manual, and that's it. Like I said, it's good for what it is, but don't expect any addition features or bells and whistles (no pun intended). ### 3/5 — Good start *2010-02-11, version 0* Combines both international and inland (us) clear and easy to navigate.
