I want to suggest the improvement - The navigation interface linked to my car does not provide me to type in the location for searching. It show two routes but the the main route we normally is use is not reflected ### 3/5 — Promising but needs improvements *2022-03-02* This is a great alternative to google maps and a much needed innovation to use the Navic system. It is able to show the accurate route to points of interest and the navigation accuracy seems good with an initial use. However the biggest issue is that the address mapping is worse than google maps, specially for residential addresses. When an address is entered, it does not locate or point to a location which is not even close. While this is also true with google maps and it has a “drop pin” feature to make up for it, this is a great opportunity for an indigenous app to do it right and not take shortcuts. Please push hard on this app, work to build an address system that works accurately in India instead of assigning random inaccurate names to roads. Show how it can be done right and tailor it to Indian needs. Last of all, even the interface can be polished more. I don’t see a way to cancel or correct a search without proceeding to the navigation screen and then canceling. Also market it better, ingest more real time data and aim to get better and more popular than gmaps. ### 3/5 — Doesn’t display on car infotainment system *2021-09-26* Hello team, I have purchased Navi Map just few days ago. My issue with app is it cannot be displayed on my car’s infotainment system. When I connect to my car ( Maruti Ciaz Alfa)’s system with usb cable, it displays Navi Map’s icon. After tuching the icon it can be runned but it displays only blank screen. I am using Apple 7 with os 14.4 installed on it. Recently In had to factory reset my iPhone 8 Plus. After this pro feature fisappeared. It is asking me to buy it again by paying INR 899. Please look into this on priority. I have TATA Tigor XZ option model for which this app is available with pro feature for free. But it is not compatible with IOS. This is the reason why I had to buy this app. After buying I realized that the GPS navigation in the car does not work with IOS. Apple car play isn’t vehicle specific, once your navimaps supports apple car play then it will support in Apple car play, please get work with Apple and get your app certified to work with Apple car play. Still some routes are not available so pls update fast... ### 4/5 — Excellent offline navigation tool *2018-08-29* I’ve been using Navi maps for several years now and it’s an excellent tool due to the facts that it’s an offline app and you can pre-plan your trip and store the routes in advance. I give it four stars and not five because the maps are not as comprehensive as google maps and the voice guidance can’t keep up with the navigation at higher speeds. Also the removal of the ability to rearrange the order of your saved routes is a minus and I can’t understand why this feature was removed. It shows 3d view and perfect 3d image whether you have to go on the bridge or not. Quite impressed Money paid is worth. This is the same gps app that is installed in pioneer audio video system for cars. I do a lot of touring on motorcycles, so i now rely on this app for accurate routes. If u dont have gps system in your car, just but pro version of this app. ### 4/5 — One of the best offline Navs! *2017-10-11* For sure one of the best offline navs I’ve ever used on my phone but it has limitations that are at times very irritating. It does not let you set your own route. So if you want to visit multiple places on your way to some place, this app doesn’t let you do so... Also it just drains out the battery of your phone completely! ### 5/5 — Best app for navigation better than google maps *2017-04-29* Way better than google. Best feature is that you can use it offline, even if there is no network you can still navigate the places. 3D view, bridge view speed indicator and the whole UI is amazing. Only thing is that it need space to download maps and that I thing space/memory is not an issue in current mobiles. I got Navi maps - the fully loaded version with voice and car connect free with a pioneer purchase and decided to try it out. After 2 weeks of patient and extensive testing in Chennai, Tamilnadu, Andhra and Bangalore, I can truly say - It’s horrible! The UI is complicated, and the navigation routes you on wrong routes. Many places are missing. Live traffic is very inaccurate. Do not depend on this app for navigation. It’s a disgrace that pioneer and even Tata - including Jaguar/Landrover have tied up with this horrible navigation system which simply doesn’t work! ### 1/5 — PRO guidance purchased but not working *2016-07-31* I purchased PRO guidance feature and the payment was deducted from iTunes. But the feature still shows disabled. I contacted support but not hearing back from them. Restore purchase option just hangs. This is very poor support for over $10 worth of in-app purchase. It used to be a great app. House numbers search was a great and unique feature. Maps were quite good and accurate. The good ends here: Now the map updates are minimal. Last update was in Oct 2020. Map data is outdated. Doesn’t show accurate routes now as many new roads, flyovers intersections, U turns are missing from the map. Many POI not available on the map. The App is outdated too. Old design, difficult to read small fonts etc. I used to follow these maps over Google. But now even Apple maps and Sygic maps have overtaken this map. In India Apple uses data from ‘Map my India’ only. However, Apple Maps provide much more detailed and accurate results with better route suggestions and correct time of travel. Also they don’t have Apple car play feature. I think lot of catch up is required by Navi maps to be in competition. I gave above review almost more than a year back. I wonder if the app is still being maintained. The App Store says it has been updated a year back. I’ll request developers to let us know so that we can decide whether to rely on this app or not. Indian roads are changing very fast. New highways, flyovers are being introduced frequently. Can we ask user to provide feedback if they are changing the route especially to check if they are forced to change the route.
