You can adjust many parameters in your controller including speed, torque and braking. I would give this app 5 stars if it had the ability to create profiles. I’d be nice to have one profile for golfing, another one for cruising, another once for the kids use the golf cart etc… I know you can accomplish this w the on-the-fly controller but the idea is that you don’t have to guess or remember the settings and in the case for the kids ideally I can setup a low speed profile and they can’t change it. The gas pedal has to be pressed at least half way to move the motor and by that time it takes off way too fast. We can help fix this! ### 1/5 — Keeps crashing *2022-12-01, version 34.5* Every time I open the app and try to connect the app starts to load setting then the app crashes. ### 1/5 — Needs *2022-09-20* I am very disappointed that there is no profile settings. (Example: high performance, normal, eco) Preferably it would be 3 or more customizable speed profiles that can be set and quickly changed from the app. The controller is nice but it takes a lot of trial and error to see where to set it before allowing another driver. Also a mode for eco to get the most range. Competing brand has these features. Because of how long it takes to re configure the app and having to remember all the numbers it makes it useless. Just set all max settings and don’t let anyone else drive it. It seamed better when I was looking into buying it. Also they make updates that change your carts function sometimes that make you have to relearn using it. It’s my cart. It should be my choice. If you add the features that should have been on there to begin with then I’ll be happy to increase the rating. The tech support is top notch. They even helped me trace down a problem I had to a faulty micro switch in the foot pedal assembly! ### 5/5 — Awesome! I have had 0 issues *2024-07-14, version 40.0* Ok first off, I want to qualify this review as I have years of experience in engineering, product application development and testing. I can say without any reservations that Navitas has more than impressed me with the product (I have a 2008 RXV with the TAC 2 controller and OTF programmer) I have never had a problem with the app disconnecting or timing out, I have had 0 problems or issues with the app. Did I mention that I have had 0 issues with the app? I have had the controller and OTF in the cart for 2 years and waited intentionally to write a review that was fair and honest for us as the consumer/user and feedback for Navitas. As a consumer/user, I try to research the product from manuals, FAQs and consumer reviews from many sources to make sure it is even worth considering purchasing. The product and customer support reviews were positive so I purchased the TAC2 controller and OTF programmer. I was impressed when I received them, the quality, sturdiness and appearance of the boxes alone gave me warm and fuzzy feelings for the installation and enjoyment to come. I installed the controller and OTF programmer myself, downloaded the iOS app and spent time familiarizing myself with the menus and settings that are included. *IMPORTANT* waiting two years to write the review proved Navitas dedication to quality of product and customer CARE is exceptional. From the individuals answering the phone to service and technical support blows me away. The only small issues and concerns I had were caused by me! That’s hard for me to say, however the patience and knowledge of product and applications straightened me out and we laughed the entire time we were in the phone. After two years of total satisfaction I have an unbiased review and I apologize for blabbing on an on like my Dad owns the company and we know better than to anger Dads! After getting back onto the website to see what had changed in two years, Navitas got me again- the entire site is completely different and easy to navigate with intuitive interface and easy to find content by cart models with specific and DETAILED easy to read instructions that will give you the confidence you need to purchase, install and use your product. The level of detail in these pages and videos are golden. GOLDEN! Navitas uses customer feedback from installation to operation to continuously improve the knowledge base for us. Everything I needed to know about Navitas product and customer focus happened on a Sunday in January when one of the technicians CALLED ME AT HOME to address an issue that THEY had been leaving ME voicemails about getting back with them to resolve. Maybe that should have been my entire review. Don’t make a mistake and let a bad review that Navitas reached out to the customer to resolve sway you. Do your research, get the true customer experiences and make a decision you will be confident in and so pleased with after purchase that you will write a review based on your experience. Maybe not this long. If you read this entire review, maybe you need a nap. I know I do… ### 5/5 — Great app for connecting to and managing the golf cart *2023-12-22* I’d just like to make a suggestion… when doing data logging, it would be nice if it doesn’t stop and delete the logs when the app loses connection. The folks from Navitas and their tech support have been nothing but fantastic. They were able to quickly resolve my issues, and they even called back to follow up to see how everything was running. I highly recommend Navitas for any golf cart or any build project. I love how everything is controlled through the app and it’s user-friendly.
