I’m also tired of not only signing in every time I open the app, but also having to fill in the password since it won’t allow my password manager to “always allow.” ### 2/5 — Was good but now is questionable *2025-08-06, version 2.1* It was great until the recent update. Before I could navigate to the subtopics and even occupational topics like our bibs is built. However now it’s just broken down by publication. So essentially now it’s like here are 250 questions on the NAMP which the questions aren’t even rate specific they’re more so just NAMP general questions. Also they should definitely add a feature for the users to submit request to update the accuracy of some of the questions so we could get accurate information. Personally, it’s extremely difficult for me to read all of those dry, boring pubs, instructions, etc., so this has come in handy. I just wish that these were the questions on the exam! My only critique: I somehow haven't found a way to stay signed in. I have to sign in every time I close the app. What’s worse is my saved password doesn’t auto-populate, and I have to go into my passwords to select it. Not a huge deal, just an inconvenience. With that, once I login it takes a few minutes to “fetch 1000 questions” which, again, is an inconvenience. Other than that, not a bad app. Good luck to all my brothers and sisters on this upcoming exam! 29DEC24 Hard to study when most of your BIBs are “under construction” and/or “unavailable.” Not sure why I pay a monthly subscription to something I can’t fully utilize. I understand if there is some information that simply cannot be published due to its classification; not most of my rating’s study material though! ### 2/5 — TERRIBLE FUNCTIONALITY *2024-03-07, version 2.1* You’d expect that by paying $20, you would get something with fewer issues than I’ve experienced in the one day of using the app. I appreciate what you are trying to do here, but the app has many issues. From having to log in every time the app closes to being stuck on the “synchronizing data” screen for 5, 10, and sometimes 15 minutes before I can start using it. Another thing is the pages with the answers when taking the mock are not always related to the question. For an app that has been around this long, you would think it would have basic functionality figured out. ### 2/5 — Misleading *2021-08-24, version 2.0.45* I understand that this app is helpful for a lot of people but for my rate specifically, I spent money on this service expecting to use it a lot during my free time. However, I was sad to find out that about 80% of the bibs were not available for various reasons (copyright issues, “under construction”). I wish they told me how many of the bibs were actually available for use before I spent money. I tried downloading it again but every time I try to login it tells me to do payments and when I try to click on the highlighted blue part it won’t let me. I’ve tried multiple time and honestly I’m not surprised this doesn’t work. It’s like every other military site, crappy and broken. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Waist of $20 *2025-03-13, version 2.1* Upon downloading the app, I’m asked to subscribe for $20. No checking the service to see if this would work for me. I double checked with my chief to see if I had the right app and he said yes, so I subscribed. Only to find out that none of the publications from my BIBs were there and there were no flash cards or study material for most of the said publications. Out of the 15+ publications listed from my BIBs, I found 2 sets of flash cards for 2 of them. And they were difficult to figure out how they worked. Some of the pups say that they are not legally allowed to publish any study material for certain pubs, and other just didn’t have anything. So I paid $20 and got nothing. Don’t waist you money on this service. You’re better off waisting your time on the wild goose chase looking for the publications on your BIBs and reading them. ### 1/5 — Difficult Questions *2025-01-09, version 2.1* Tried using this app to study, but only the Fading Questions (last years questions) option is working. I emailed about it and was told it worked fine and I should just log out and log back in. I’ve done that. I’ve deleted and redownloaded the app. Both the Navybmr and Navybmr (Legacy). I was told I need to contact Apple to get a refund. Used to love using this app to study, but this is terrible. Due to our quotas being low Navy BMR has offered a free subscription to their website to help advance. I used Navy BMR primarily for my last exam and scored an 80. And I am almost positive it is because of this app. A lot of my bibs were missing, but the parts that were available, I studied non stop. Delete Facebook and Instagram and install this app. And spare time you could scroll social media, just open this app and study. 5 minutes here and 5 minutes there. 10 out of 10 recommend. Great study tool! ### 5/5 — Top Notch Study Material *2019-06-14, version 1.1.2* As an IT who has spent the last 4 years working with CTM’s and never set foot in radio I was getting frustrated when I kept missing advancement by 10 points or so. After the third time scoring in a mediocre range I figured I would give BMR a try since I’ve heard some decent reviews. The very next cycle I picked up and scored in the 98th percentile! I’m pretty convinced there’s some sort of witchcraft involved but hey, it works! Highly recommend 10/10. ### 5/5 — A must have! *2019-06-05* This app helped me make OS1 my first time up! Any one in the navy should have this app. My chief exam is in 2 years but I still regularly log in to freshen up on my knowledge. Iv also used this app to get board ready for certain quals. Some tips - use the audio option! Wether you’re running, biking, working out, driving. Listen to the audio. It will help trust me! - do the test! What I did was take the test, write down all the stuff that I got wrong. Study it, then take the test again. Keep doing that until you consistently get 100s. Writing stuff down helps you memorize stuff. Make a goal of 100 on a section a day. When you sit down ad concentration it only takes 30 mins max! - make a schedule of your study time. And stick to it! Make it at a time that you know won’t be taken up. Like right before bed when you’re usually watching Netflix, study instead. Or make it a 20-30 minute bike ride/study time. IE, if you’re going through/finished with flash cards then change the line color to say orange. If you’re on multiple choice, change the color to yellow; if you have completed the test make the line green. This way we know which chapters we are on/ have completed.
