## What is Nazar Blocks?

Tunnel swallowed your signal? Perfect. Nazar Blocks is an offline game built for exactly that moment: a block puzzle that runs with zero internet — even in airplane mode. A one hand game you can learn in a minute and play for the whole ride.

THREE WAYS TO PLAY

Adventure: a map of 200 levels. Each one gives you a score target and a limited number of moves. Some levels start on an empty board, others on a preset layout that demands a different plan. Clear the target to unlock the next level; higher scores earn up to three stars. Retrying is always free.

Classic: place pieces on an 8x8 board, clear rows and columns. No rotation — think before you place.

Incline: pieces fall from the top. Slide them, drop them; a full row collapses and the blocks above come down. If the collapse completes another row, a chain starts and the points multiply. You can see the next piece and hold one aside.

FEATURES

• Voyage Mode: pick your ride length (10, 20, 40 min or custom) and chase a target with three quests
• Daily Ride: one shared puzzle a day, fully offline — grow your daily streak
• Daily quests: four fresh goals every day, earn tokens by completing them
• 34 badges: from your first thousand points to the last Adventure level
• Nine themes: Night, Classic, Tea Garden, Nazar, Ferry, Cappadocia, Iznik Tile, Turkish Delight, Kilim
• Ranks from Passenger to Road Legend — earned by playing, never by paying
• Share your score as a card; every mode keeps its own high score
• Combo and streak multipliers, confetti, haptics
• Auto-save on every move: kill the app, come back, continue — each mode keeps its own saved game
• Eye comfort setting: softens bright colours for easier viewing
• Colorblind-friendly palette, sounds and vibration toggles

WHY THIS ONE?

• No ad bombardment — no interruptions, no banners
• Zero permissions, zero data collection: no wifi games shouldn't need your identity
• No in-app purchases
• Small download, easy on the battery: smooth on older phones too
• Our turquoise brand color is no accident — the word comes from the French for "Turkish stone", named after us. The themes follow: a Cappadocian dawn, Iznik tilework, an Anatolian kilim.

Whether it's a bus ride or a couch evening: a calm, fast, respectful brain teaser for anyone searching for an offline game. Safe travels!

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5.2 — 2026-09-05

A stability and peace-of-mind release.

YOUR PROGRESS IS NOW KEPT AUTOMATICALLY
Delete the game and install it again, and your adventure stars, high scores,
beads and badges are simply there. You don't have to do anything, sign in to
anything, or remember anything. No account, no internet, and no data leaves your
phone — this uses your device's own secure storage, not our servers, because we
don't have any.

BACKUP CODE, FOR CHANGING PHONES
Your progress can also be turned into a single piece of text that you send to
yourself and keep — useful when moving to a new phone. If the text is incomplete
or damaged, the restore is refused rather than overwriting your save.

STAYS OPEN WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG
An unexpected error used to close the game. Now you see a short message and can
return to the menu and keep playing, with your progress intact.

EASIER TO REPORT PROBLEMS
Settings shows a "last error report" when one exists, which you can share with
us. It stays on your phone until you choose to send it.

BETTER WITH A SCREEN READER
Buttons, option chips and icon-only controls across the menus now announce
themselves properly to VoiceOver, including which option is currently selected.

Nazar Blocks is still 100% offline, ad-free, and collects no data.

### 1.5.1 — 2026-08-30

Fixes
The three pieces at the bottom could sometimes fail to appear, which made the game unplayable until you restarted it. This is fixed.

The cause was that a piece's visibility depended on a flag being cleared at the right moment. It now works the other way round: whenever a new piece arrives in a slot, that slot is visible. The old flags simply stop applying. This makes the failure structurally impossible rather than merely less likely.

A related problem in Incline mode, where the falling piece at the top of the board could stay invisible, is fixed the same way.

The tray also had no minimum size. On very narrow screens the calculated size could reach zero and the tray would disappear silently. It now has a floor: small but always visible.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-08-25

Undo

Take back the move you just made. The first undo is free in every game — it is there for the accidental tap, not as a purchase. Further undos cost beads at a rising price, up to four per game. Undo is off in Daily Ride and Weekly Challenge, where everyone plays the same puzzle under the same conditions.

Adventure, rebuilt

Every level used to ask the same question: score enough points before you run out of moves. Only the numbers changed. Now levels ask three different things — reach a score, clear the marked cells, or clear a number of lines. Preset layouts are no longer decoration; on marked-cell levels they are the puzzle.

Finishing the goal ends the level immediately, and the moves you save turn into stars. One star means you finished; two and three mean you finished with room to spare.

200 levels

Twice as many, and the difficulty curve for the first hundred is untouched. The pattern library doubled as well. While doing this we found that half the base patterns were rotationally symmetric, so the library had far fewer unique layouts than we thought and some levels were exact duplicates. That is fixed: no two levels are alike now.

Weekly Challenge

A new mode. One puzzle per week, the same for everyone, with its own streak. A fresh one arrives every Monday.

Boost Grid

A new setting for screens that crush dark tones into black, where empty cells become invisible. It is off by default and only lightens the empty cells.

Smoother

The board no longer builds a separate animation for each of its 64 cells, the score counter runs off the JavaScript thread, and saving no longer happens on every single move. The Adventure map only draws the levels you can see. Placing and clearing should feel noticeably lighter, especially on older phones.

No ads, no sign up, no data collection. Still works with no internet at all.

### 1.4.2 — 2026-08-23

This is a fix release. Three issues players reported after the last update are resolved.

Tray pieces stayed shrunken

If a call came in or you switched to another app, the three pieces at the bottom could stay at half size and never grow back. Going to the menu and returning was the only way out. Their size no longer depends on an animation that cannot run while the app is in the background.

Progress could reset after updating

On some devices the first launch after an update could fail to read saved data, and the game would then write empty data over the real thing. The game now refuses to save at all unless it has confirmed it could read your data first — losing a session is recoverable, losing your history is not.

Unexpected closing

The in-app rating prompt could crash the game on Android. It is disabled there for now; on iOS it is unaffected.

Adventure star balance

Three stars were far too hard. All 100 levels were re-measured with a thousand simulated runs each, and the thresholds were rebuilt: three stars is now a goal you can reach with good play instead of a wall. One star was also nudged up slightly, so clearing a level still means something. The levels themselves are unchanged, and every star you already earned is kept.

We are sorry about the lost scores. That data cannot be recovered, and the cause is now closed

### 1.4.1 — 2026-08-18

Adventure Mode
A map of 100 levels. Each one gives you a score target and a limited number of moves — some start on an empty board, others on a preset layout that demands a different plan. Clear the target to unlock the next level; higher scores earn up to three stars.

Retrying is always free. If you run out of moves you can optionally spend beads for a few extra ones, but the game never puts a wall in front of you.

A fairer Classic mode

The piece algorithm was rewritten. The game now checks that all three pieces in a tray can actually be played in some order — no more "it saved me, then the next set killed me". When the board gets tight, at least one piece is guaranteed to be able to clear a line, and the same shapes no longer repeat back to back.

Incline, rebalanced

Pieces now drop straight down the column you aim at, instead of sliding to a "better" spot on their own. The game is genuinely losable again, and the board was resized for a more comfortable fit.

Beads, and where to find them

Tokens are now called Beads — after the nazar bead the game is named for. Your balance is visible on the game screen, so you can see what you earn as you earn it.

Three new themes

Aegean (whitewashed walls and sea blue), Snowy Peak (ice white and cold grey-blue) and Safranbolu (saffron, mansion timber and copper). Nine themes were dark and only two were light — these fill that gap.

Also
Scoring was raised substantially, weighted towards combos and streaks. Four themes were reworked after measuring colour contrast. The main menu now lays out correctly on small screens and at large system text sizes.

No ads, no sign up, no data collection. Still works with no internet at all.
