Player-initiated subs. Let us request a breather when stamina is cooked instead of forcing bad shots. A simple "sub me out" button adds great realism. 2. On-court tactical calls. Just quick shouts—like telling teammates to trap or switch into a box-and-one—to give us more feel on the floor. 3. Real weight for record nights. Breaking records (like a 100-point game) shouldn't just be a pop-up banner. Crank up the crowd noise, extend the celebration, maybe add some fireworks. Make it feel legendary. 4. Roster influence for stars. If Luka can basically push the Lakers to keep Reaves and move on from LeBron in real life, why can't my MyPLAYER have that same pull? Once we're the undisputed cornerstone, give us offseason input—push to re-sign a teammate, suggest moving a vet—through lightweight "locker room conversation" prompts. Not full GM control, just star-level say. If these don't make the cut for 2K27 since the build might already be locked, I'd genuinely love to see them land in NBA 2K28 Arcade Edition. Fix the game or I’m suing. ### 3/5 — 5 Years and No Fix *2026-08-16, version 1.5* I love this game, except for the absurd (and I really mean absurd) jump from Rookie to Pro. It’s such an unfathomable jump. You go from shooting 80% and getting a few foul calls, to making 5% of your shots and being physically assaulted at both ends of the court and after 15 games you’ll wonder how you haven’t shot a single free throw… Also, the mobile version endorsements are weak. Add some better sneakers and gear for mobile. Older versions had Kobe’s and cool Jordan’s, so you decided to remove those and just go with generic colorless sneakers…? The game is so great in so many ways, but that difficulty swing is stupid. And it only matters because if you don’t play Pro you don’t get your full salary…but guess who doesn’t get to play when they’re shooting 7% from the field and every team just throws you around the court…fix it.
