Portrait Orientation lock in Control Center is off (orientation is not locked). App Version: 8.3 iOS: 18.5 iPad 7th Generation On a side note, rotation works fine (portrait to landscape and vice-versa) on version 8.3 of the NBC Bay Area app tested on the same device. ### 2/5 — STOP THE ADS *2025-06-11, version 8.3* A :30 second Gold’s Gym ad before I can get urgent updates on my community is criminal. It gets stuck on some video you can’t close to save your life. Only solution is to delete the app and then go back to App Store and start all over. -Orig review: Great app when it works but it is very likely it will get stuck on the live feed if your double tasking and never reset. The wheel spins on the live feed overnight and when I wake up, I have to delete the app and download again to have it reset ### 2/5 — Fix the notifications! *2025-04-06, version 8.1.1* Since the last update, it constantly shows I have a notification and it turns out it’s the 24/7 tab. I just want it to go away. I know it’s there. For the love of Zeus, make it go away. ### 3/5 — High Notification Numbers on App *2025-03-16* Version 8.1.1 of this app seems a little buggy. For the last week or so, the number of notifications listed on the app (the red number displayed above the app icon) has been unusually high. About an hour ago, it said I had 500+ notifications. I went into the app, went to the alerts tab to “clear” the number as always. I check again 30 minutes later, and it says there are now 1000+ notifications. I haven’t changed any of my notification settings in the app recently. This may have started after the most recent iOS update to 18.3.2 . App is up to date (ver 8.1.1). A family member who also uses the app is having the same issue. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. We've worked with our team to resolve this issue. To fix it, please follow these steps: 1.) Open the app where the badge count appears high. 2.) Tap the "Alerts" tab at the top of the home screen to reset the alert count. Well, I live in Sherman Oaks. Location sharing: The radar shows my location correctly yet the weather I get is for 15-20 miles away. Pretty useless when I’m looking for rain alerts. Second, when you click the general feedback link in the app, it takes you to a page that says fill out the form below. The problem is there is no form below. So instead I have to resort to writing you a crappy review in the Apple App Store. This is what happens when you allow teenagers and interns develop an app. ### 1/5 — No longer works non Apple TV *2023-02-22, version 7.8.1* Does not work on Apple TV 4K anymore. Not sure why, but it’s a shame. Now I guess I’ll be using abc7 for local news. It’s a shame because nbcla paid more attention to the IE than abc. ### 1/5 — Misleading 99.9999999999% *2022-12-30, version 7.7.1* All these newsrooms are untrustworthy, any information comes out of their mouth are false narrative, disinformation or lie. There used to be a spot to turn off Olympics updates but it no longer worked. Then the app updated and I can’t find the setting. I don’t care about the Olympics, stop sending me Olympics alerts! It’s left wing, but at least I get to read stupid stuff Newsome does, see homeless encampments expand and watch high speed chases. NBC was my favorite news when we lived there and I watched it multiple times a day.
