It is not helpful having a notification come up with seemingly every story regardless of significance. This is very disruptive. It would be much better if this was reserved for times when public may need to be aware of dangerous situations or action is needed. Or even if there was a large news story developing in the area that is of a national news level. It seems lately the frequency of these notifications has risen sharply. I have turned this feature off now which is disappointing. It was helpful having alerts when schools were delayed or significant events were happening. ### 3/5 — Live Streaming improved, others need fixing. *2018-05-28* The app is good, with KNDO and KNDU local news are separated for Yakima and Tri-Cities, although I wish they could make a setting on what city to get the news from first, Yakima or Tri-Cities. Live streaming is very much improved, link now goes directly to it., but Video and Wake Up Northwest sections do not work, clicking on any video story just goes to black and returns you to list of videos again. ### 4/5 — LOCAL NEWS *2017-03-27* Pretty Good catches most os our local area news and what's more important keeps us on the Know., ### 3/5 — Great app for local & regional news *2016-05-14* Useful, especially for local/regional news & weather. Having some problems with streaming, but then I be happy to just read the article ### 2/5 — Your new news app *2015-08-14* If I have to listen to someone blabbing local news early in the morning then I don't need this iPhone app, do I? That's the notice I get early every morning when I check into this news app, to go listen to the news somewhere. I don't want to contend with noise that early. I also have to agree with another reviewer that spelling and grammatical errors happen all the time. And right now some things are being reported on with no time and date, which is really bad because on top of all that, a lot of posts stay on here for days. Don't blame me for being crabby. Get on the back of whoever said supposed to be looking out for this mess and make them at least halfway try to do a professional job of it. This stupid app woke me up again at 4:30 in the morning to tell me to watch the news. If I choose to turn off notifications I wouldn't get notifications of real news. So I continue to get barraged with daily notifications to watch the news. What a joke! So now that I am tired, grumpy and annoyed I am deleting this app. I will get my news from another more professional source. My original, less grumpy, review is below: The layout of the app is fair. It is a little tough to take KNDU seriously as professional journalists when the news is riddled with spelling and grammatical errors. One of the latest changes drives me crazy- nearly enough to delete the app. I can't stand the notifications at 4 or 5 in the morning telling me to watch the news in the morning. It's incredibly annoying and comes across as a desperate attempt for attention.
