The app functions good and it does all it needs to do. I like the functionality and some new features like split payments and the virtual assistant, but the app needs a change, it’s not really good looking, nbg should follow designs like revoluts or the new eurobank design. Nbg is the biggest bank in Greece yet the app is the worst of all I have tried and seen. We need more customization and personalization, a home screen that provides us with everything we are looking for at one glance: our balance from all accounts, our monthly spendings, our latest transactions,our card and chosen friends from contact to transfer money via selected method like iris. Thank you for providing a stable app but you need to work on design and what pleases the customers visually

This bank has an English version of their site. When you select the English version, not everything is in English. There are areas that are still in Greek. How is this going to help someone navigate and understand what is being asked if they do not read and understand Greek? If you are an international client, you cannot get a PIN number to activate a prepaid Mastercard unless you have a Greek cellphone.
If you call their customer support line, they are not very helpful.  They rush through the conversation as if you are a bother.

The app had become a burden to use as there is a constant attempt to show full screen ads with extremely small close button areas. I prefer the desktop web version where I can have more control over it. 

In the more recent versions of the app the developers try to shove the AI chat agent in users’ faces with constant popups not respecting their own in-app setting to disable the agent entirely. Consider this a dark pattern towards the wrong path.

I am experiencing an issue when using the application with the VoiceOver screen reader. Specifically, in the previous version of the app, on the home screen it would read the tabs separately—Accounts, Cards, Loans, Go For More, etc.—and I could easily navigate from one to another.

Now, however, it reads them all together, and there is no way to navigate to any of them individually. This makes using the app difficult because, for example, if I want to check my card balance, I am forced to load it and perform calculations manually to figure out the remaining balance.

Please fix this issue.

Every new release of this banking app seems to make simple transactions more complicated instead of improving the user experience. What used to be straightforward now requires extra steps, making it harder to follow and complete even basic actions.

The addition of AI pop-ups in the middle of transactions is especially concerning. Not only is it disruptive, but it also introduces potential critical risks — particularly in a financial environment where clarity, control, and user focus are essential.

A banking app should prioritize simplicity, reliability, and security. Unfortunately, this direction feels like a step backwards.

In person and via call customer support are horrible and they don’t like to do their job if you don’t speak Greek and you speak only English they keep transferring you for 5 times and eventually the last person start to ask you authentication question and then drop the phone. Over all I regret opening an account with them and in person they are racist I had this bank for 5 years and the only bank I had till I my credit card was denied because of my nationality. The audacity. 😂

Honestly one of the worst banking apps I’ve used.

First, the “Money Box” feature doesn’t work properly — you can’t delete or edit anything. You tap “complete,” and nothing happens. No feedback, no changes… just stuck.

Second, transferring money from my main account to my own Money Box requires phone approval. Seriously? It’s my money, inside the same app — why make it so complicated?

And don’t even get me started on customer support. You call the support line, select English… and then get a message in Greek anyway. What’s the point of offering a language option if it doesn’t work?

Really frustrating experience overall. This app needs serious improvement.

Garbage. Does not work properly after getting a new iPhone. Chat is worthless and calling the banking cannot help you either. Going to a branch doesn’t help. I sent an email requesting help and they send me some generic response. I follow the instructions and I am still not able to use the app. A terrible Greek bank. Terrible support. I have had this issue going on for a year now. I can access my account through Google Chrome but not through the App.

Προσπάθησα για 45 λεπτά να κάνω την μεταφορά από το IPAD . Κάλεσα τον αριθμό και μίλησα με την Μαρίκα Γκεκα. Αφ ενός δεν είχε χρόνο, αφ έτερο δεν με βοήθησε καθόλου. 
Τόσο δύσκολο να κάνω μια απλή μεταφορά λίγων ευρο, όταν ο αρχιτέκτονας περιμένει την πληρωμή στην πολεοδομία για την έκδοση άδειας οικοδομής. Ευχαριστώ όλους!

The worst bank in Greece. If you don't want to waste your time, nerves, and talk to a brick wall, steer clear and go to another bank. They ask you to bring one thing, and then demand something else. Overall, it's a bank that doesn't like its customers.
