### 2/5 — The Women Deserve Better

*2025-03-30, version 172.17.3*

Some of the most popular & followed college basketball players are women and with the way the game is growing this app is embarrassing. Fans deserve a better experience and tbh the game women’s division deserves more respect. Do better.

### 2/5 — Limited functionality

*2025-03-23, version 172.17.3*

I expected the same functionality as the men’s app. Disappointing.

### 1/5 — Blatant Disregard

*2025-03-23*

Why is this complicated? Two March Madness’ and two different apps? You literally take one version of the app, control/copy and duplicate. Insert teams. It’s not rocket science. Why are the Men’s and Women’s apps so drastically different? In fact, it should be ONE app and you toggle between both tournaments. Similarly to a tennis Grand Slam. It’s a slap in the face to have a bare bones app for Women in 2025. The developers and CBS should be ashamed.

### 1/5 — Can’t sign in to see your bracket

*2025-03-22, version 172.17.3*

Why not just add the women’s bracket to the MM live app?

### 1/5 — Trash

*2025-03-22, version 172.17.3*

This app is trash compared to the men’s. You can watch over half the games right there for free in the app the women’s app takes you to espn and you can’t watch any games for free zero and if you don’t have cable then prepare to pay $80 for a live tv streaming app. This is straight up trash.

### 1/5 — is this a joke?

*2025-03-21, version 172.17.3*

this app is trash and a complete embarrassment. The men’s app is top notch and this is what we get for the women? Yuck.

### 1/5 — “I guess women play sports too?”

*2025-03-21, version 172.17.3*

The interns who built this app did as good of a job as we could hope for but WOW it’s so much worse than the MM Live app. Support your female athletes, NCAA!!!

### 1/5 — Equality?

*2025-03-21, version 172.17.3*

The women’s March madness app is terrible. Why can this app be similar to the men’s app?!?!

### 1/5 — Even worse than last year

*2025-03-21*

This app wasn’t great in 2024, but at least you could make your bracket picks in the actual app. This year when I tried to make my picks, it kept directing me to the men’s app. But guess what, you can’t make picks for the women in that app! Shocker. This year I had to make my picks on the website. Besides just being noticeably worse than the men’s app, and not user-friendly, this one isn’t even functioning correctly. It’s 2025, people watch women’s sports. Women’s basketball deserves an app that is exactly like the men’s, not this piece of garbage. Or do what you should and include both men AND women on the same app, it wouldn’t be that difficult. It’s a choice to exclude female athletes. Do yourself a favor and use Safari rather than this app.

### 2/5 — All Apps ARE NOT Created Equally

*2025-03-21, version 172.17.3*

This March Madness app is terrible compared to the men’s app! I’m a guy and I watched more of women’s college basketball this year than I did the men’s college basketball, but yet the men’s March Madness app seems like how a college sports app should be in 2025.

This app definitely is super outdated and feels like an app that just came out in 2001. Either merge the March Madness apps together and have a tab with the women’s side or just be better overall and put more time and effort in this old app.

Thankfully, I can watch the games on this app so it does that well, but the interface is just super outdated and this is coming from an IT who understand how all these things sort of work. Seems like this year I’ll just download the app as a backup just in case I my YouTube TV subscription app messes up or is malfunctioning, but this won’t be my primary video app for Women’s March Madness and I’m grateful to have a primary app to watch the games and use this for bracket view only.

### 1/5 — Awful app

*2025-03-21, version 172.17.3*

Why is the Men’s app so comprehensive, while the Women’s app appears clunky and lacks visual appeal? The Men’s app offers a wealth of information, making it easier to navigate and use. In contrast, the Women’s app seems to lack the same level of detail and organization, making it less user-friendly.

### 1/5 — why are the men’s and women’s apps so different?

*2025-03-20*

it’s really apparent that developers care more about men’s basketball than women’s. the men’s NCAA app works fine and functions really smoothly. the women’s app is horrible and is basically like trying to navigate a website. it does not function smoothly nor does it have the same functionalities. why the disparities?

### 1/5 — Shame on NCAA

*2025-03-20, version 172.17.3*

I cannot believe how utterly lame the Womens app is vs the Mens!!!
Cmon NCAA: have you not been watching the stats???? All watch womens sports. Give is an app that finctions

### 1/5 — Equality

*2025-03-20, version 172.17.3*

I’m a new fan to this sport and it upsets me to see the difference between the men’s and women’s march madness app‼️

### 1/5 — Do Better

*2025-03-20*

This app is unbelievably bad and is so much worse than the men’s version. In a time when more people than ever are watching and supporting women’s sports, this app is actively preventing that from happening. It’s incredibly glitchy, constantly freezing or crashing, and the bracket isn’t even set up properly. The user experience is terrible, making it frustrating to follow the tournament. Women’s sports deserve better than this. If the NCAA actually wants to promote equality, they need to put real effort into making this app usable.

### 1/5 — Why is the Women’s NCAA app so bad?

*2025-03-20*

This app is very outdated and feels like it was created when mobile apps first launched. The Men’s version offers an easy-to-use interface for streaming highlights, but the Women’s sports section is lacking in comparison. Please update the app to provide a similar experience for those of us who follow women’s sports. It's 2025, and women's sports are growing in popularity—it's time for an upgrade to reflect that.

### 1/5 — Improve quality, or integrate

*2025-03-19*

The quality between this app and the men’s app is appalling. You can’t even create a bracket for the women’s tournament in this app. Every time I click on it, it takes me to the men’s app, where you can’t EVEN MAKE a women’s bracket. You have to go to the NCAA website to do so. Where, guess what, they have a drop down menu to switch between tournaments. Make this happen for the app, or completely overhaul this one and put some dang effort into it. Sad.

### 1/5 — Not Even Close

*2025-03-19, version 172.17.3*

This app pales in comparison to the March Madness app for Men. This is the second year I’ve written a review like this requesting the women’s app be at least equal to that of the men’s and still nothing has changed. No excuse matters. Fix this.

### 1/5 — It's terrible

*2025-03-18, version 172.17.3*

I got it and deleted it. I was expecting to make a March madness bracket for women’s. there is no bracket that’s what makes it bad.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Ancient

*2026-03-20, version 172.22.0*

Guys, could we get an update? This app hasn’t changed in the last five years. How is there no Master bracket? If we want to lift up the women’s basketball, we have to do better.

### 1/5 — What’s the point?

*2026-03-20, version 172.22.0*

This app is pointless. Why wouldn’t you make it just like the men’s app???? It doesn’t even show the schedule of games until the sweet 16, so dumb. I’ll be using the ESPN app instead.

### 1/5 — Disappointing App

*2026-03-19, version 172.20.6*

This app is awful compared to the men’s March Madness app. It’s very disappointing. Use the ESPN tournament challenge app instead.

### 1/5 — I’m begging someone to improve this app

*2026-03-19, version 172.20.6*

Year two of me reviewing this app because it’s actually atrocious. I’m begging someone to make this app better. It’s not even comparable to the men’s app. I’ve never made an app before and even I think I can do a better job.

### 1/5 — Please make it useable

*2025-04-09*

Bad. The technology and framework is available in the men’s app. Use it!!! As others mentioned, before MM started, the app kicked over to the men’s bracket. Um, no… I downloaded WOMENS for a reason.

There is no option to select teams and during the tournament, it have it calculate your score. Also it was one looooooong scrolling list, not brackets that you can navigate, like the app for men. Now I’m trying to see the results and only get the Final Four? What are you doing? Seriously, apply equality here, my dudes.

### 1/5 — You failed!!!!

*2025-04-01, version 172.17.3*

Couldn’t even fix it this year. Just give up!!!!

### 1/5 — I hope you guys have a terrible day

*2025-03-27, version 172.17.3*

Thanks for letting us know how much you hate women.

### 1/5 — Do Better

*2025-03-24*

This app is atrocious. The men’s app is great, how hard is it to take that algorithm and apply it to this app. Care about your program. It’s so bad it doesn’t even properly fill the screen. It’s like they just made it to where it partially goes to the online site but worse. Do better. The women in NCAA deserve it.

### 1/5 — Terrible, nothing like Men’s app, unsurprisingly

*2025-03-23*

Like everything else with the NCAA and women’s sports, this is vastly subpar as compared with the app that covers the men’s tournament. What a useless waste. All it is is the “NCAAW” section of ESPN’s app. It’s not optimized for iPads, so it’s not suitable for actually watching games. Better to use the ESPN app for a better viewing experience. Exactly zero effort was put into this.

### 1/5 — 2015 app finally runs smoothly!

*2025-03-23, version 172.17.3*

Why isn’t this a clone of the 2025 Men's March Madness app with the video and stat streams mapped to the women’s games? It looks like they’ve been polishing the 2015 app for 10 years, instead of trying to move forward with technological advances. Really sad, NCAA!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The order

*2025-03-16, version 172.17.3*

VCU

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2022-03-29*

I liked how quickly I could get information about my team. The app had answers to all my questions including information about the final four. Excellent fan info on how to get the most out of the trip to Minneapolis!

### 4/5 — Good App

*2024-04-30*

This app is pretty good it works very well and I can watch every game very easily it’s just that there is one problem why I don’t like it. The screen size. I would love it a lot more if the screen could go full. Other than that, amazing app! Highly recommend!

### 4/5 — Finally

*2022-03-14, version 172.6.1*

Women’s basketball finally falls under March Madness like the men!!!!

### 4/5 — Not as robust as the men’s

*2021-03-24, version 171.35.2*

Definitely better than past Women’s Basketball apps!

### 3/5 — Can’t build a bracket

*2024-03-24*

I see a review from 2 years ago mentioning how the app doesn’t support creating your own picks, so I’m shocked to see this is still the case. You’ve had the ability to create a bracket in the men’s March madness app for YEARS.
Do better.

### 3/5 — Build up to Men’s MM app par please.

*2023-03-12*

NCAA should be paying you MORE $ than the MM Men’s app to have MORE developers hired and MORE sprints to be able to build this app up to par with the MENS app. If they gave you anything less, it’s a joke. Keeping building! We want the same functionality. Thank you!

### 3/5 — Scoreboard

*2022-03-18, version 172.6.1*

Overall a good app. They need to lay out the scoreboard like the mens app.

### 3/5 — Integrate the two apps

*2022-03-09*

As I try to set up a new bracket pool it prompts me to go to the app where the mens bracket games are hosted because it’s “better in the app” where as the womens app doesn’t actually let you fill out a bracket but it can send you to a web browser to do it. Also the other app doesn’t have any option to fill out or see the womens bracket anyway!

### 2/5 — Pitiful!

*2026-03-07*

I expect the NCAA women’s March Madness site be comparable to the men’s but it’s not. Each year I think it’s going to improve, each year it’s a disappointment. I don’t understand why ESPN or some sponsor doesn’t get on the ball and put the needed information when it’s needed.
