The tv lags, is completely unwatchable and ultimately a waste of money since you don’t receive anything usable with the subscription, ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2025-02-22* This app is awful. First, there’s no app for a Samsung TV, so I have to stream from my iPhone to my TV. Second, it’s a monopoly and overpriced. If you want to watch an NCHC school play, you have no other choice. Most importantly, the app does not allow you to rewind live action, unlike just about every other streaming app I have used. When I contacted customer service about this significant shortcoming, they simply said that this is a known issue with the iPhone app and there is no timeline for resolution. So your options are to watch it live, or wait until the game is over and watch the replay. Lame. But even more lame is the flippant and unhelpful attitude of their customer service (which I contacted multiple times about this issue). They don’t care if you stay as a customer or not. Again, you have no choice if you want to watch NCHC hockey. Otherwise I would not touch this app with a 10-foot pole. ### 1/5 — No audio for WMU vs Omaha hockey. *2025-02-15, version 3.3.8* There was no audio for around 20 minutes. Tried to watch on 3 different devices. ### 1/5 — Never works don’t waste your money *2025-02-08, version 3.3.8* The iPhone app sometimes works but don’t try to airplay it. Won’t work. The Apple TV app will play basketball when you are trying to stream hockey. No support. The app functions poorly in many other areas as well. For the cost one would expect much better. There are free apps that function better. ### 1/5 — Horrendous *2023-12-03* Dropped the app 3 years ago due to issues. Got day pass today thinking they had to have figured this out by now. Nope. Crashed 5 times in first period already. If it was decent product I would pay annual fee. The app won’t get past the Home Screen with the logo. It just sits and spins. ### 1/5 — App Doesn’t Work *2022-01-23* On multiple occasions I’ve recently tried to use this app on my iPhone to watch games, each time I’ve opened the app it just sits on the loading page and doesn’t do anything. I’ve force quit the app, restarted my phone, and Re downloaded the app. Nothing works. ### 1/5 — Absolute trash. Don’t bother. *2022-01-22* Absolute trash. The cast feature for chrome cast didn’t work so they just removed it. An absolute waste of money for a service that should be the most basic feature of a streaming app. Fighting for a refund. ### 1/5 — Simply doesn’t work as advertised *2022-01-03* I finally decided to front the cash for this to see my alma mater, the University of Denver, play. It’s absurd how much the service costs compared to similar platforms for other schools/programs…. But the worst of it is that the app won’t even let me log in. It just keeps saying “all fields required” even thought I’ve quadruple checked the interface for anything missing on the login. Additionally, even if you just try and run it in a regular browser, I’ve only gotten it to work in Chrome, and even then it keeps cutting out. Such garbage, especially when they expect us to pay for the service. ### 1/5 — Can’t Cancel Subscription *2021-12-28, version 2.0.14* I have been attempting to contact NCHC.tv for over a month in order to cancel my subscription. I emailed 7 times and messaged on Instagram twice. I have heard nothing back, and they have continued to bill me. There is no other way to cancel listed on their website. I would call it the worst customer service I have ever received, but I guess I haven’t even received ANY customer service from them. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — I’d give it zero stars if I could *2026-03-15, version 3.3.12* Games will start in real life while this app is still showing 30+ minutes of pregame. When I want to watch a game live, I want to watch it fkking live, aholes. ### 1/5 — App needs serious help *2026-02-25* Video content, live or highlights pretty lame. Need to get better (more) camera angles to show goals or disputed penalties. The selectable calendar function is the weirdest layout I’ve ever seen, either use a calendar or just show the days the games. Most if all games are on Fri/Sat. Content is lacking, the AI morning skate is lame, get a real human to read it. Content should include at the very least interviews of players pre/post game pressers. For over $150 for a subscription should be a lot better, disappointing, hope it is improved. ### 1/5 — Worst streaming app of all time? *2026-01-17, version 3.3.10* It is 2026 and this overpriced piece of garbage can’t even stream in HD on my Amazon Firestick or Samsung TV!! Shame on the developers and NCHC Commissioner, HEATHER WEEMS, for putting the stamp of approval on this joke of a streaming app. Absolutely embarrassing. You can’t rewind, you can’t fast-forward. I’ve been an NCHC.TV subscriber since 2018, use the app on Roku, Apple TV and my iPhone. I’ve had zero problems. Since I am a DU Pioneers season tickets holder, I have even watched TV replays on my phone while watching the game live. Always great to check in on other conference games on my phone during intermissions. Doesn’t work. I can hear the feed but the video does not. All other apps stream to TV via airplay except this one. Always freezes for no reason or loses connection at least a dozen times a game if it does work.
