### 1/5 — Loses maps all the time, no support

*2021-09-20*

Love the robot but it keeps losing maps. I have a complicated house layout and don’t have time or willpower to keep on and on redoing them. Keeps getting grounded but because losing maps, I can’t set the exclusion area reliably. I can’t find any contact as website is insecure and comes up as likely scammer on virus protection. No way to contact support. Was going to buy another but I think this company must have gone bust.

### 1/5 — Seems like everybody’s crazy about the robot except me

*2021-03-01*

I think I ended up with one with a manufacturing defect and it never worked right. Their customer service was snarky and stocker-ish. frankly a little scary.

### 1/5 — Robot works great! App? Not so much.

*2021-01-15*

Scheduling does not work. Changing the robot’s spoken language doesn’t work. Smart maps and map customization needs improvement. There needs to be an “are you sure?” prompt when deleting maps, stop any accidental deletions. Maps randomly get deleted and robot has to do initial map and clean. Several spelling and grammar errors throughout the app.

Otherwise the hardware is fantastic and we love the robot vacuum and self-emptying dock. But the app really holds back the experience especially when you’re trying to map and schedule.

### 1/5 — Worst apo

*2020-12-19*

Vacuum is very good, but many benefits are undermined by a really lousy app. The ability to map areas so the vacuum can do what you want and avoid where you don’t want cleaning - was the sales pitch. The app is lousy to use, does not adjust to an iPad for a larger screen, and most noteworthy is it drops maps, which took time to setup (again and again) and thus the vacuum has no reference points, other than inefficiently bump around the house (again).

Shocking a company could market something so lame.

### 2/5 — Needs improvement

*2020-12-07*

While most of the app is fine, it takes a while sometimes to load zones if it does at all. Also I have tried to update firmware on the bot and it always gets to 42% and fails. At least with this latest app update I can actually read the update failure in English. I have reported the issue to Neato and it is going on 2 months with no fix.

### 1/5 — Frustrating

*2020-11-13*

I am not able to get past the code to load on my phone. Hope the vacuum works better than this. 🙄

### 1/5 — Issues with App pairing

*2020-10-16*

Can’t get the device to pair with the app, suspecting it has to do with modern mesh routers that automatically switch between 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. Tried numerous workarounds, different devices running various iOS versions but still no luck.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t confirm email

*2020-10-14*

It wants to send an email to confirm my registration but the email isn’t being sent, so my vacuum is worthless right now.

Also, the app has misspellings, like United Kiongdom.

### 1/5 — Abandoned software

*2024-05-27*

Newer app won't connect to old hardware, so this is the only option. Can't do anything because the maps never load. -- you can run off an older run, which at least makes the robot work. Scheduling is 30-60 minutes off. The robot is usually "unreachable" through the app after any change. (Stop cleaning command causes robot to stop, but then pressing "recharge" says it's unreachable). I'll need to replace the hardware, but it won't be with this company.

### 1/5 — Loading forever

*2023-12-30*

Can't do anything because the maps never load.

### 1/5 — Hardware is good. app is gross incompetence

*2023-07-29*

Hard to believe even in the lazy world of app programming that something could be this dysfunctional. The app hasn’t been updated in two years and is at best a beta product that doesn’t work right.

Can’t change the network name can’t get it to connect to the unit. When I tell her to clean her room, it goes into “loading“ for an infinite amount of time, and never comes back.

Fire all the programmers and hire an intelligent 12-year-old.

### 1/5 — Loading

*2022-09-03, version 1.3.1*

Can't do anything because the maps never load.

### 1/5 — Vacuum forgets map

*2022-03-13*

The app or vacuum constantly forgets the “smart” map causing you to have to restore it from history almost daily. I want to throw the whole vacuum in the trash along with the dust bag! Then they released a second app without telling anyone. But that one won’t even connect to the vacuum! Great device, piss poor apps.

### 1/5 — App nightmare

*2021-10-03*

When product’s apps are discontinued and the company won’t migrate the device to the new app, we know we bought a relic.

The generic app(Chinese generic software used buy multiple companies) has a bunch of options disable. (Multi-map/manual control/etc).

This device is generic, company logo slapped on it. (I have no problem with that, but don’t remove generic features just so you can focus on big data. )

### 5/5 — Working great!

*2021-07-09*

Have it for a month and everything is doing great. Time to retire my 4 yr old roborock. Just hope there is a 2nd map for my 2 story house.

### 5/5 — So far so good

*2020-09-21*

We have even using another Robovac for about 4 yrs and although it worked ok it didn’t have the fine control of the Neabot that this app gives me. We have been using the Neabot and App for several days now and I have to say that it works great! We did have the robot Vac plug up once but wasn’t a problem (as long as it doesn’t happen often an will update this review later) We are very pleased with with both, the Robot is fairly quiet an we can let it run while we are home an watching TV with just a bump in Vol of the tv. Setting zones is easy as well. The only things I would ask to change is adding a way to select the Vac power for each zone or area, I know that the robot can change the vac power when moving from a floor to a rug or carpet but it would be nice to set the power depending on the zones we set, and add a remember password or face scan to log into the app. If your looking for a good robo vac I would definitely recommend this one! The price was very reasonable when compared to comparable devices of other companies. Thank you!

P.S. I will update this after a month of using it.

### 4/5 — Forgets map but easy to “reload”

*2022-07-02*

When it randomly forgets your floor plan map go to settings, history, then click on one of the best vacuum runs, then upper-right hand corner click Use. This has saved me several times from having to remap my whole house.
This might help people with two different floors also.
Otherwise I’m happy with the vacuum overall. It works well but the cat hair does clog up the bin opening if I don’t run it often.
The app is ok but could be better. I love being able to choose which room I want to clean. That is fantastic.

### 4/5 — Smart robot with a couple of suggestions

*2020-11-30*

I like this robot since it really saves my time and effort. However: here is a couple of areas which needs to be improved:

1. Can you please add a setting option that do not empty out the trash bin? I rather empty it out myself manually every time because with long hair I have to do it anyway and the loud noise REALLY REALLY bothers my young child. Please give us an option so we can do manually - since we do anyway.

2. Can you we have option to add another map so we can use it on the 2nd floor? Otherwise we lose the first floor map.

Thanks.

### 3/5 — Idk, it looks great

*2021-04-04*

By the looks of it, it looks great but the reviews are not so favorable. I'm not sure if this performs badly or not cuz I didn't use the app yet, but the most annoying part is that you have to sign in to the app, but that's all.

### 3/5 — Frustrating Design Issues

*2020-11-02*

Been running for about a month and notice a few constant irritations. The splash screen seems unnecessary. Would be better to just show available vacuums on main page. While cleaning it is way too easy to accidentally end a cleaning session while trying to zoom around the progress map. Needs a “are you sure?” prompt!

Wi-Fi setup has been problematic. Phone will connect to vaccuum, but frequently nothing happens and setup does not proceed. Had to fiddle with it constantly to get it setup on my Google mesh router. Zone setup is more difficult than it needs to be. Should use simple line to delineate borders. Needs use definable spot cleaning within zones and manual navigation option for very specific cleanups.

### 3/5 — Has potential but needs work

*2020-08-21*

Messages are being repeatedly delivered over and over again even if they have been deleted. And now I cannot see my map/schedule/zones.

And for some reason the vacuum doesn’t start until 29 minutes after the scheduled time.

### 2/5 — Nice app with two gigantic problems

*2021-07-18*

Looks like they put a lot of hard work into this one, but it failed because of two massive issues. Firstly, the app logs you out constantly. This makes no sense, given one of the greatest benefits of this device is that you can use it to clean individual areas such as rugs by naming them. Extremely annoying to have to log back into the app every day just to clean a rug. I think this is easily fixable, but I Believe that the developer doesn’t want to do it because this requires more horsepower from their servers.

The second problem is also tied back to horsepower. Their servers are holding the layout of your home, the app doesn’t store it locally. Because of this, your saved layouts could take several minutes to load, and occasionally tens of minutes to load. They really need better hardware.

### 2/5 — App recreates app

*2021-01-30*

App doesn’t have a way to save the map so every time the bot fails to locate it deletes the whole map. Such a pain

### 2/5 — Would be great if it worked

*2021-01-29*

I like the functionality this app has but every month or so it forgets my mapped zones. So then I have to send the bot around the whole house while supervising it so it doesn’t get in places I don’t want it.
