It recognizes my bad handwriting almost flawlessly, arranging notes is simple and adding in charts and graphs is easy. I can even search my own notes for keywords! My ONLY problem is the implementation of the dark mode. My created docs have a dark mode but my scanned in PDFs are still white. This is the only reason why I still have notability on my iPad because I can read essays at night. Once Nebo adds this feature I’m ALL IN! I’ll be recommending it to everyone without my current caveat. **Developer response:** Thanks for your thoughts – we love that you love Nebo! Mila ### 3/5 — Key missing piece *2021-10-31, version 3.3.1* I can’t zoom in to my notes. No pinching, no opening images that were taken with the app, and landscape is only barely helpful. The best workaround is to export as PDF each time. ### 4/5 — Love! One Area for improvement though… *2021-06-04, version 3.2.2* Absolutely love this— i can write and make notes like in GoodNotes but i can type notes way better than in GoodNotes— GoodNotes makes my typed notes in like text boxes whereas this one will start typing on a line for your and you can still scribble between typing on a note. You can import and export and sync with the upgrades too! My suggestion however (and hope) is for a Mac app as well to allow for more cohesiveness across iOS devices. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add a Mac store app!!! Mila ### 1/5 — My document just keeps loading!!! *2022-02-13, version 3.3.4* As I was finishing my very long study guide, the app randomly kept freezing and closed. I opened the app, and my document was blank and kept loading. I tried turning off my ipad and waited a few hrs, but it’s still not recovering. I wouldn’t trust this app if you are taking notes/studying for serious classes. I am in nursing school, so I literally started started crying. Customer support has been ineffective. Extremely disappointing and expensive to have to recoup lost information, truly permanently lost ### 2/5 — What is the point *2023-07-26* Why even bother? All this app can do is let you view your notes. You cant edit, manage or even delete your notes. Its pointless. Unfortunately, for those such as myself who made their account with Apple, the iPhone app doesn’t let you log in, thus it isn’t functional on iPhone. It’s a shame since I really wanted this to replace Notability for my use case. ### 2/5 — Keeps crashing and notes disappear *2022-07-28, version 3.4.0* As much as I like the app when it works, it’s crashed on me several times before I can backup or sync my most recent notes. Since there is no auto sync or auto backup feature, it’s incredibly annoying to have to have to remember to sync or back up notes to iCloud or Dropbox. Not worth paying for the premium version. Likely gonna go back to using Evernote. ### 2/5 — Why not let us edit the notes on iPhone as well? *2021-05-20, version 3.2.1* Great app on android / iPad, but why is the iPhone app being unnecessarily limited to just viewing notes created on other platforms? I know my notes won’t be altered by messing around with them on my phone. I’m not sure why this isn’t rated 5 stars but hope the issues are worked out. Haven’t bumped into any myself. I can easily go from typing organized note outlines to writing and completing math by hand in class. Full disclosure: I do have a tablet so that makes things easier. Nebo is also great for exporting or importing notes and documents for editing.
