I do have one suggestion. Of the hours of entertainment I’ve gotten, I found purchasing the golden upgrades or whatever they’re called, super worth it from the beginning. I love the different season events and greatly appreciate how often the game is tweaked and updated for QoL benefits mentioned by players. Close option apeared after suffering through 3 minutes of video followed by forced interactive content. Game publishers and developers own the decision of how bad/long they want ad experience to be so 1 star. I have spent money to upgrade things, and have done the restart, a couple of times. I recently switched from iPhone to Android, and reached out to customer service to restore progress/purchases on new phone and was told after a few days delay, ‘sorry, we can’t do that because they are different app stores.’ I know this review won’t change anyone’s mind, but I’m disappointed since it was one of the first games I actually consistently played. ### 1/5 — Game lag *2026-07-06, version 1.79* Game still lags randomly after trash iOS gloss update. I know it’s not your fault completely but it’s been a while now and have to update. Every so often the game lags and you close and reopen and it still lags and continues until it crashes and hopefully resets lag. This is only multi thousand downloaded game that does this idk what to say. It’s not skins I tried changing but I notice it does switch from random skin to set skin. Idk I’ll erase this low rating soon but idk how else to report laggy crashes after iOS glass/gloss update awhile ago. What I can’t stand, is when ads are required just to play the game. You want ad revenue? Give the player a benefit. Being required to watch an ad just to make even the slightest progression is ridiculous. Had high hopes for this one but it falls short with the large majority of mobile games these days. Never thought a phone app would be fun but this truly is a gem and the other games by this dev are also fantastic. It’s creative, witty, and a lot of fun. The dialogue and game mechanics are hilarious! The art is, dare I say, really cute?? Pixel art goodness! Crazy how rare it is to find a breath of fresh air from all the AI junk out there. Ads are always optional and I actually want to watch them because 1) when a developer cares about making a good game and listens to their community, I want to support them and 2) the rewards are worth it. It speaks true to being an idle game and is perfect to pick up casually. [Spoilers ahead] I just unlocked the event lair and that has added a whole new layer (hehe… lair… layer) of gameplay and strategy. Big thanks and huge kudos to Grumpy Rhino. I hope you make a billion dollars off this because you deserve it. ### 5/5 — Absolutely brilliant *2026-08-10, version 1.79* For a free mobile game, I struggle to think of any other games that compare in just how good this one is. Put simply, it’s a fun, humorous and enjoyable game. If you want to, you can play without buying anything like ‘no ads’ and the double food and damage bonuses until you’ve decided you like the game enough to, that’s what did and it was well worth the price.
