This browser is just a vehicle to find what you search and that is why it is now my default app for web surfing. We need companies like Neeva to survive & thrive. Or we will just be left with the Facebooks & Googles selling our data to the highest bidder. It’s a brilliant idea & a brilliant app. I just hope it works as a business model. Neeva has created some pretty cool, unique features, like Spaces. After using Neeva for about a month, I’ll never go back to Google search. Still haven’t figured out how to share across devices or if it’s even possible. Over the years I have tried so many : Safari, Google, Chrome, Explorer and Edge, Firefox and DuckDuckGo. They all have their strengths and faults, and of course the early versions needed perfecting. But none has evolved as well to provide great search results while effectively protecting privacy. Gone are the intrusive ads and my concerns about tracking that linger with the major search engines. What a relief! And I notice that the people at Neeva are constantly striving to refine the software and improve performance. ### 5/5 — Neeva is great! *2022-01-31, version 1.25.8* I’ve been using Neeva now for about a year as a tester and it’s gotten better and better and better. Now I am a paying customer. It’s worth it to me to have a search experience that is completely ad free, no targeting. Just a clean set of search results that also plug into your various accounts to mix in with your results. I recommend it to everyone. I had to download a different search engine, so I was able to access certain things on my account for instance, to get on the blog, I couldn’t through my iPad’s original search engine. and when I’m on the market place going through the list in the freezer and send me back to the top of the list so I think you guys need to work on a couple of bugs. ### 2/5 — Private? *2022-04-17, version 1.36.3* Well, I was looking for an alternative to the untrustworthy "mainstream" browsers when I found this app and, for a moment, thought this one was different -- it IS "different" but not in a good way. These "other" browsers collect a limited amount of data not linked to the User but YOUR browser collects everything linked to the User to the point that it seems suspicious. I gave an additional star rating for the clean UI but, no matter how nice the design, I can't overlook the privacy issue. You may "protect" users information but much bigger players have promised the same and have failed. The only sure way to protect my data is for ME to control who has access to it. No thanks. ### 3/5 — Good clean but lots of issues. *2023-01-30, version 1.76.0* 1- there is no option to close tabs when leaving browser more than 10 min option. 2-when closing app clean history and cache there is no such option. 3-there is no option to bring down URL box in bottom like safari browser. A must for me. 4-there is no Bitwarden password integration option. ### 3/5 — Meh… *2022-09-11, version 1.56.3* Maybe I’ll use the app more if you folks build an easy to use, lightweight desktop browser to sync up with. I’m switching to a Linux/Ubuntu phone in the next few weeks. Hopefully I can use the Neeva app there, in an open source environment. I’m using an Apple device now and as with other browsers on here it’s just not a seamless transition from different devices, especially cheap MicroSoft machines. ### 3/5 — Sign In with Apple broken again *2021-08-01, version 1.0.24* The recent (late July 2021) update appears to have broken the Sign In with Apple option again on all of my iOS devices. On the phone, the pop-up window one is supposed to receive, after choosing the Sign In with Apple option, never appears and Neeva hangs. On the iPad, it would seem to work normally, but always returned me back to the sign-in page without ever signing me in. After about 5 attempts to get signed in, it now also hangs after choosing the Sign In with Apple option. It continues to work fine in Safari on these devices, so I’m not really sure why we have apps in the first place. ### 4/5 — Very good out of the box *2022-12-04, version 1.68.3* As I said in a support message, it doesn’t handle location-based queries very smoothly. I always test a browser based on its ability to provide movie showtimes near me. Add to that, it’s not quite able to capture my current location with precision, either though cellular or home ISP. For example, if I query “food near me”, it starts spitting out results that are either one mile off, or four miles off, depending on the respective aforementioned connection types. That said, these are features that Google only introduced recently, in relative terms. On the basic queries, like product comparison, or general inquiry, this absolutely blows Google out of the water. To those skeptical about paying for Neeva while Google’s “free”, remember that nothing is free. Concerns about basic privacy are old hat imo. Though Neeva addresses these concerns, and basically presents them as the primary value-prop, a la Duck-Duck-Go, it is also helping the market, and by extension society, take a step away from the algorithmic economy. It won’t be decades until we know the true effects of algorithms and machine learning on our collective minds, but I am confident they are, on balance, bad. Removing the perverse incentives of advertising in search may auger a positive shift for society/markets in the long run. ### 4/5 — Optimistic… *2022-11-26, version 1.67.0* About the future of Neeva and sharing with folks along the way. I like the clean search page and results that are actually good. With the memory component (optional) I would like to see multifactor authentication. I like the Lock Screen widget to pop right into search. Browser is clean and I have requested 1Password extension support. Ad blocking seems stout. Would like to anti-fingerprinting like Brave. Support has been responsive. Looking forward to seeing where they take this. ### 4/5 — 1 thing to make this app perfect: Search and sort *2022-05-20, version 1.39.4* This has been a great mobile browser. It just needs a search and sort feature to be perfect. Please allow users to search their open tabs and history. As well as letting users search and sort spaces and the items in each space based on alphabetical order, domain, name, recently accessed, etc. This will allow users to navigate the app faster and find what they’re looking for more easily. ### 4/5 — Duckduckgo Alternative *2022-01-24, version 1.23.2* I was a long time Duckduckgo user, but the search results were increasingly erratic. This app was probably my 5th attempt to find a replacement. So far I am genuinely liking it. Yes, there are ads but I can't fathom not expecting that from a newish to the game, free, search engine. I don't find the volume of ads to vary from any other standard app. 4 stars because I really wish there was a more consistent way to establish the search parameters, especially for those of us who have to clear data and cookies frequently. I'm always looking for results from a set, "past year" time frame and it gets tedious having to click that option over and over. However that seems pretty much universally overlooked by all of the search engines so maybe the demand us not there. One can hope however. ### 4/5 — As a search engine it’s good, as a browser it is lacking *2021-12-27, version 1.20.5* My main gripe with the app is that I’m used to having an Adblocker on safari, so switching to this browser and seeing so many ads on websites makes it a dealbreaker. I wish you could just set this as the main search engine on safari instead. Searching on neeva seems pretty decent. Yet it’s a window to a world worth discovering. Learning a safe and efficient means and method to explore has been challenging. Until now! It is fast, clean, and intuitive. It is worth paying for it. I seldom do reviews but I like how it shows you how many trackers and pop ups it filtered. I even had a quick answer to my email question. A browser company has to support itself somehow. You pay for it or you can have ads, trackers, and no AI answers to your questions. Every time I went to search there was ads shoved in my face, even on websites it was just loaded with ads. Im so glad I found this browser, my only disappointment is that I wish I found it sooner. So many more options and configurations than other mobile browsers. In comparison to Duck Duck Go, Neeva has provided me with much more relevant and accurate search results. Not only that, but the user experience on the iOS app is top-notch. It is smooth, easy to navigate, and the interface is visually appealing. One of the things I appreciate most about Neeva is that it is a privacy-focused search engine, just like Duck Duck Go. However, Neeva takes it a step further by not showing any ads at all in its search results. This makes for a much more pleasant and distraction-free search experience. Overall, I highly recommend giving Neeva a try as a Google alternative. It works well and tech support has been very responsive. In the early days I was having issue locating “find in page” function. Support promptly got back with me to help me with the function, and then also improved the app to make “find in page” function more intuitive for everyone. Needless to add, Privacy is paramount to me; especially in these days of mind-numbing abuse of Online Privacy. I have been playing with Neeva (free version) for about a year and didn’t even blink when the Premium version became available. It’s simply awesome; the personalization is powerful and the customer support, including one-on-one support is peerless.
