This is the most important feature for a teleprompter, I’d appreciate if this was added in the next update. ### 2/5 — To basic app *2026-03-24, version 1.4.2* Many features missing let down of an otherwise good teleprompter. Remote is hit and miss, scroll speed to fast even on slowest setting, no auto scroll based on speech and when it reaches end of script it won’t stay in that position so you can finish reading also no margins. Goggle docs integration would also be great. There is also no way to choose a document from your iPad. Goggle docs integration would also be great ### 2/5 — Works but very buggy *2025-01-25, version 1.3.7* I’ve been using the app for about 6 months since I purchased a Neewer teleprompter. It scrolls but anything past that, there are issues. - Don’t cmd-z when editing text - it will crash - When trying to edit text, it keeps on overwriting your edits - The “All documents view” is sorted out of order. Instead of showing the newest first, it displays 2024 documents in order from newest to oldest, then halfway down the list it sorts 2025 from newest to oldest. - When searching for a document, your limited what you can do with search results. You can’t add to the cloud script folder. Why? - Be sure to add extra blank lines at the end of your script. When the scroller hits the end, it goes back to the beginning instead of stopping. Very frustrating when this happens and you’re finishing the last couple lines and.Again, why? - No response from support. I’ve sent messages indicating I would send a video about these issues but never got a response. ### 3/5 — Works ok. *2024-03-09, version 1.3.0* The app works ok. The issues I had were : 1. During use the screen went black randomly - had to close and reopen the file which is not ideal 2. The cloud is pointless. To save a file to the cloud - you have to download the file to your device then upload it to the cloud - what’s the point of that if I just downloaded it? So I feel the cloud feature is useless unless the feature is improved such as saving the file directly to the cloud or emailing it to your cloud account and it pops up automatically 3. The remote connection was lost after first use so had to re-pair it ### 1/5 — This app is terrible *2024-02-06, version 1.3.0* Absolutely don’t expect this app to work. It is literally trash. I am very pleased with the Teleprompter from Neewer but the app is horrible. It constantly changes the screen when you move between vertical and horizontal and half the side of the script is off the page and can’t be seen or adjusted. I have tried for days to fix this and it doesn’t work, very sad that this is such a piece of junk. A friend of mine who is a major YouTuber told me of this when I bought the Teleprompter. He uses a free app with a cheap controller and that works much better. I am currently using another Teleprompter app, and will find one that works with a controller. ### 1/5 — Horrible *2024-01-18, version 1.2.9* I keep uploading docs and only the first 3 lines show in the app. The rest just disappear. It’s been like this for days now, however worked for the normally for the first week of filming. I’ve tried resetting, logging in/out, and 10 other fixes but it won’t work. Very annoying when you have a filming deadline. Find another option if you want to get your work done! ### 1/5 — Awful *2024-01-05, version 1.2.8* Main screen only shows content horizontal. However, the Teleprompter app from NEEWER is seriously lacking. I have problems importing scripts DAILY through the web interface, and once the script is imported, almost once or twice a week I have issues with my script just disappearing halfway through which I only find out halfway through very frustrating. This app needs so much work before I could ever recommend it to a true professional. The idea is to keep your eyes focused on the center of the camera lens, but because this app shows the lines of text all the way across the iPad screen, your eyes must scan to read words, so the eye balls keep going left to right left to right, instead of focusing on the center of the camera lens. ### 1/5 — Remote Does Not Connect *2025-07-03, version 1.4.0* Was excited to get the Neewer teleprompter and downloaded the teleprompter app but spent a lot of time trying to get the remote working-which is still not working or linking up. Tried to contact support through App Store but it takes you to their sales and no place to lodge complaints or get help-this needs addressing. Useless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — This app and hardware are awesome. *2025-12-06, version 1.4.1* For what it does and its price point for the teleprompter and remote, you can’t go wrong. However, there are two additional pieces of equipment I suggest you purchase. A Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. This will make typing up or editing your text files much easier. My iPad sits in a case that has a stand. So, when I’m putting text in, the iPad is already in landscape mode which is the best way to playback your scripts. You don’t have to make this harder than it needs to be. You just need to carefully plan your projects and you will get the best reviews as your projects will be perfectly polished. Also, the first thing you need to do is pair the remote with your tablet or iPad. Then, you need to enable the remote in the app itself. This will give you full control of the teleprompter. Without telling the app which remote you have the play function may work, but you may not have the ability to control the text’s speed in the app. ### 5/5 — Works good for me *2025-10-27, version 1.4.1* I’m seeing the other reviews and I don’t know what they’ve changed but it’s been an amazing experience for me using this app. Simple and easy to use 10/10. Amazing *2023-10-10, version 1.2.7* This is one of the few that actually let you mirror the output without paying for a ‘premium’ upgrade or similar. Loads of apps like this let you have a cut down app but they disable or don’t include mirror mode which makes the app useless. Then to get their functional app you pay a ridiculous subscription fee, no thanks. I was pleasantly surprised by this app and if they were thinking of a paid version with more feature I would buy it, not subscription though, make it a one off payment. Thanks Neewer. ### 5/5 — Easy to use Teleprompter *2023-03-24, version 1.2.1* I have an older mini iPad 4, wasn’t sure if it would work. I did a quick update on the iPad then loaded the Neewer Teleprompter app. It worked without a problem. Simple and easy to use. I am very pleased. ### 4/5 — Works well *2023-08-05, version 1.2.5* I’ve been playing with it for a few days and find its fantastic. You can vary speeds and font size easily to find the right pace that works for your eyes and your talking speed. I would have given 5 stars, but I took one off for the product this comes with. The remote for the teleprompter itself has a loud click to its buttons which is hard to hide in the edit if you want to pause what you’re talking about ### 4/5 — Width change feature request *2023-04-19, version 1.2.2* Hi! Thanks for the app! Is it possible to add a feature that would allow to change the width of the area where the text is showing up? I film my videos using my phone, and I use iPad as a teleprompter. Because the iPad’s screen is too big, my eye movements are becoming very noticeable. I would really appreciate your efforts! Thanks! ### 3/5 — Decently built / simple but missing key features *2025-06-30, version 1.4.0* Some vital features this app needs: - Margins. I can't believe this 'professional' app has the text force displayed across the entire screen meaning your subject's eyes are darting left and right making the final image very unprofessional. Add in the ability to add margins / borders to the edges with a sliding percentage scale so the text can all be kept right in the centre. - Auto rotate. There shouldn't be some button I have to press, it should be in any section of the app I can just turn the screen to rotate it, not be forced to stay sideways. This is especially annoying when editing text and having to use stupid wide keyboard. - Speed controls needs a number. Need to have a numerical value associated with the speed control so you can easily get back to a predefined or setup one, rather than just guessing where the slider was on the scale. - Ability to move the red viewing bar up or down. Important if the camera setup behind the teleprompter is not perfectly aligned to the centre of the tablet or phone. - Edit text button. Need to just quickly press edit text in the top right without having to highlight a word > edit, or go back out of the script and click edit ### 3/5 — Not bad *2025-01-14, version 1.3.7* I don't have many complaints with the app and I like the cloud feature. What would make it more valuable to me is being able to access the cloud on the web to type/load/edit scripts. It's nearly impossible to edit in app so I do it on my computer in notes and then from my phone load to neewer cloud. Then save to my cheap tablet I use in the teleprompter. I'd like to be able to type it all up and edit/load in neewer cloud online vs in app. ### 3/5 — Remote doesn’t work *2024-11-20, version 1.3.6* The apps seems fine other than the BT remote doesn’t actually do anything.
