## What is Negative Harmony?

Negative Harmony lets you explore one of music theory's most fascinating transformations: reflecting any chord or progression across a tonal axis to produce its harmonic mirror image.

TAP ANY CHORD
Select a root and quality on the interactive Circle of Fifths. See the original chord and its negative simultaneously, with voice-leading automatically applied.

BUILD PROGRESSIONS
Add chords to a progression and play them back — originals or negatives — with smooth voice leading between every chord. Common tones are held, not re-attacked.

UNDERSTAND THE THEORY
Built-in theory section explains the concept from first principles: the axis, the transformation formula, voice leading, and the history from Hugo Riemann to Jacob Collier.

5 SOUNDS
Choose from Rhodes, Strings, Choir, Organ, or Synth Pad — the same high-quality soundfont used by professional music apps.
