I check in a few times a day and love to see the kitties. There are a number of features that have been added so that players have to spend more money to meet exchange obligations. But there aren’t enough fun new changes—only a few new cats, and the couple of new backgrounds are much uglier than the zen garden. The worst change by far is not being able to buy gold fish using accumulated silver fish. The pressure to spend money is everywhere you look, and literally required in order to see all the cats. It’s a violation of everything that made the game feel so gentle and good. ### 1/5 — no option to exchange silver for gold!!!! *2026-05-13, version 2.19.0* really bad that the only way to get gold fish is through cats or by paying actual money. the first game had the option to buy gold fish by paying 500 silver ones. a crazy bargain. but at least there was a way. this one lets you buy 250 silver for 10 gold??? how does that make sense??? why would i need more silver when the cats are giving me nothing but. please fix it yall. rest of the game is literally the same as the first one. no notes there. ### 1/5 — Cheap *2026-03-31, version 2.15.0* Seems like devs had added features that are just meant to be annoying. It’s sad the developers decided to go down the route of making it purposefully hard to collect fish, so you’ll have to use real currency. Well, you don’t have to, but it’s easier to manipulate people who are addicted to the “gacha”-likeness.
