No code was sent to my cell, and the email I received just directed me to sign up! ### 1/5 — Not working *2021-01-12, version 3.6* This app is not working correctly. I manage to link to my VRC account and then log in after it asked for my cell phone number and sent me a validation code. According to my race you can not only report your milestones in this app but track your miles. I don’t see anywhere to track miles after poking around for quite some time. I went to my browser to search instructions and found nothing. Returned the app (after less than 5 minutes) and the app asked me to login again (even though I had not hard closed the app I had merely opened another app). I did attempt to login again with my cell #. It sent me a validation code (again!) that didn’t work. Then it sent me six validation codes right in a row to login. I did not hit “validate” more than once. Not one of those codes worked and then I kept getting “unexpected error 1201” and the app froze. I restarted it several times and can no longer get past the cell phone validation screen. Not even sure why I need to validate my cell phone every single time I open the app! ### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work *2021-01-12, version 3.6* I need this for a virtual run I signed up for. This app is as glitchy as can be. It wouldn’t validate my info as it kept coming up as an error code, and then when I tried to start over it says my email address is already taken. I have to consistently validate my email and phone number and it will not connect to the remote site I need. I try to sign up and it asks me to validate, but I was not emailed or texted a code. When I tried to restart and sign up again, it said my phone and email were already taken. Yes, of course my email is taken because i registered! This is a very poorly designed app. I got it because it is synced with VRC but I’m no longer purchasing from VRC BECAUSE I HATE THIS APP **Developer response:** I'm sorry to hear you've run into issues. Could you email me directly at ryan@virtualrunningclub.com so I can (a) address your issue and (b) fix any problems with the app for everyone. Most VRC events have moved over to the VRC Reporting app which is a better experience for entering distances. ### 1/5 — Why won’t it send me a verification code? *2021-09-11, version 4.9* I have entered my phone number every possible way I can think of and it will not send me a verification code. What’s up? ### 1/5 — No place to log in miles? *2021-05-02, version 4.3* I signed up for VRC (virtual running club) Sesame Street challenge. They direct you to download this free app to log your miles. I have the free version of this app, not the paid upgrade. I can see no place to log miles, and it doesn’t recognize my email address. The only thing that it seems to know is my phone number and that I’m signed up for the Sesame Street challenge. I’m not impressed. I guess I will have to keep my own spread sheet and check which mile checkpoints I complete after I have passed them. Disappointed, once I’m done with this challenge I am going to look for a different virtual challenge vender. ### 1/5 — App issues *2021-04-06, version 4.2* I can’t log in and there’s no support. I try to text “help” to the number and it just tells me how to unsubscribe. The app doesn’t show the dates of the miles entered and doesn’t show the total number of miles, just percentages. Who even cares about the percentages?? Only using the app because of VRC and I’m not a happy customer. ### 1/5 — App won’t even open anymore *2021-03-24, version 4.1* Reported my first milestone without issue. I splurged on a special challenge and now have no way of earning the badges and pins. Customer Support hasn’t responded to requests for help. ### 1/5 — Can’t get past log in *2021-02-11, version 3.9* How can VRC require a runner to submit their miles on an app that can’t be used. I’ve tried for over 3 hours to log in. My cell number gets loaded and I have still not received a validation code ### 1/5 — What a scam *2021-02-10, version 3.9* I downloaded the app, connected it to my VRC challenge, and now it wants to charge me 8.99 per month to log my miles. ### 1/5 — Won’t Validate Email *2021-02-06, version 3.8* Clicked validate to connect with my VRC account and it never sent an email with the validation code. Emailed VRC about it, so hopefully they’re able to resolve. ## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated) ### 4/5 — Thanks for the additional update... *2021-03-03, version 4.1* this fixed my issue where I couldn’t add anymore miles. Would be nice to see a total miles rather than the percentage but, whatever it works for the challenges. ### 4/5 — Works so far! *2021-01-14, version 3.7* After some initial hiccups linking the app to my VRC account (I kept getting an error message that told me my email address didn’t match), I contacted customer support for VRC (who owns the app). They had old me the fix (try entering my email with a capital letter at the front) and that a fix would be included in the update coming out today. The fix worked to link my account, and the app works great! I’ve already logged mileage! I’m hoping this continues. Four stars for the initial glitch ... will update to five if things continue to work well. The only thing I wish is that they would add a provision for more than one family member to be tracked. My son and I signed up together (he’s 8), and unless I want to open another account for him, I have to just track our miles as the same. ### 2/5 — Basically junk *2021-06-15, version 4.6* This app is basically junk. It is so utterly basic. My biggest pet peeve: let’s say you have 100, 200 and 300 mile milestones. One particular day, you see you’ve got 99 miles done. You run 4 miles, and so you enter that in the log. Yes, the app realizes you completed the 100 mile portion for the 100 mile milestone , but it doesn’t credit those other 3 miles towards the 200 mile milestone. ### 2/5 — Can’t add *2021-04-22, version 4.3* App doesn’t appear to add mileage from individual runs in the challenges. Created my own spreadsheet and verified. Not sure what occurred with the first milestone. Second milestone that I am still heading toward doesn’t appear to add the last mileage entry towards progress.
