It was nice when I could input the custom utility rate but that feature is now bugged and you can’t add separate summer and winter seasons. The scheduled charging was a nice addition but it does work right for daytime peak rates. I want my EV to charge only outside peak hours but the schedule cannot represent M-F having a daytime time of day rate instead. Every time I try to save the schedule doesn’t configure right so I stopped trying to use it. In the future I plan to replace this with a Tesla Wall Connector since that is easy to use. **Developer response:** Hi Dustin, thanks for the detailed feedback — this was incredibly helpful. But the app is awful. Too much advertising and confusing layout. Why are there ads even on the main screen at all. This totally takes away from the usability. Focus on that; I already paid a premium for the device. ### 2/5 — Dumb Charger if no subscription *2026-02-25, version 1.2026.803* Used to be able to see live charging and control the device from the app. Now all the features are locked behind a paid subscription. Most functionality you offer can be handled directly with th car and attached chargers. Too bad. It looks good on the surface but when you use the app it is riddled with bugs like not saving your rate schedules properly or not allowing you to fully edit rates. Also the status notifications and integration with ev is never right. For example it says my car is plugged in but I’m out driving around and when I refresh the integration it shows the wrong charge percentage. Complete and still shows the car is plugged in when it’s not. The app is confusing and when you add the multitude of bugs it becomes frustrating to use. Questioning my choice to purchase the splitter from these guys and now concerned it’s also buggy. **Developer response:** Hi! App runs circles around the Honda App, and gives me real-time status instead of outdated info! ### 5/5 — Faster to read charging levels than HondaLink *2025-09-23* I ordered one of NeoCharge’s splitters and while waiting for it to arrive, I thought I would check out this app. Turns out, the app is pretty useful on its own! I have a Honda Prologue and the HondaLink app is notorious for being slow. Sometimes I only want to check my charging level, which literally takes 30-60 seconds on HondaLink, and even sometimes it won’t update at all. Once I linked the NeoCharge app to my Honda account, it pulled in my vehicle information and gave me an instant read of my charging level. I was blown away that this app is free and gives me faster access to this information. And once I have my splitter, I’ll be able to rely on the better scheduling through this app as the Prologue has pretty meager scheduling options for my charging. Very impressed so far! Edited to add — after over a month of use, I’ve found this app to be indispensable. In addition, I’ve had a few technical questions to ask about the app and the Smart Splitter product they sell and their response, despite only being a small team of folks, has been amazing. Having more data about what I use and how it compares to my gas vehicle is great. Unfortunately this app doesn’t live up that that need. It is awful at keeping track of things when using a charger that isn’t your home charger. It gets the location wrong and won’t let you change it. It records things haphazardly. And if you don’t check it regularly after charging it will not record a charging session. Frankly I’m sorry I paid for the app. If I could get a refund I would. **Developer response:** HI i hope all is well. I checked last 6 months and my monthly total is not showing. Only sowing my todays charge kWh and total spent that is $2.30 on May 12. We have two NeoCharge 14-50 splitters for our 4 plug in vehicles. The devices themselves have been completely trouble free and very reliable. The reporting in the app has evolved a lot and this latest revision is fantastic. It now allows multiple splitters on a single account and the information it reports is exactly What I have been looking for. Fantastic work! The app is fantastic and gives you a wealth of information including charging rates costs with recommended time of day, energy usage tracking, scheduling charging, among many others features that I have not used yet. No hiccups. It just works. ### 5/5 — Tesla owner with NeoCharge *2025-09-25* My best practices using the NeoCharge App. I have the Tesla Model Y using the mobile charger unit connected to the NeoCharge unit on the Secondary side and primary side is the dryer. I inputted all the power rate and set the schedules similar to how I did it in the Tesla app as well. However I use the Neocharger app for overall status between dryer and Tesla where Tesla app only tells me there is no power when my dryer is in use or the schedule time to charge set in NeoCharge is not there when I plug in the Tesla. I do set the scheduled time in NeoCharge 5 mins earlier and also ends 5 mins later than the schedule I set in Tesla app. So far since Nov 2024, today is September 2025, the app has worked flawless for my needs. **Developer response:** Thank you for the detailed review and for being such a dedicated NeoCharge user!
