## What is NEON?

Want to practice Korean, Japanese or English through random calls with people abroad? NEON is a language exchange app for voice conversations and international friendships. Use the expressions you have studied, share everyday interests and get to know the person behind the profile.

See a profile before you call
Choose calls or chat from Start Matching on the home screen. Review the person's languages and interests, then send a request. An online recipient can accept to connect. An offline recipient receives a notification; a request does not guarantee an immediate conversation. Connection depends on their availability and acceptance.

Practice through everyday conversation
Add the languages you use and want to learn to your profile. Agree with your partner on which language to speak, and start with music, food, travel or a short introduction. Ask each other questions and use new expressions at a pace that suits you both.

Captions and translation when you need help
Voice calls offer captions and translation to help you follow the conversation. In chat, tap the translation button on a foreign-language message to check its meaning. Results can vary with speech, expressions and background noise. Confirm important details with the other person.

More ways to keep in touch
• Voice rooms: talk with several people about languages and everyday life.
• Moments: share text, photos or voice posts, and connect through likes and comments.
• Public questions: answer the daily question or another user's question in your own words.
• Together: arrange a time for a call or voice room and invite others to join.
• Friends and chat: continue talking with people you want to meet again.

Free calls and optional Stars
The app is free to install. A basic profile-matched voice call includes 7 free minutes per call. Detailed filters such as country, call extensions, and starting or extending chat may use Stars. Check prices and conditions for Stars and memberships in the in-app store and relevant screens.

Stay in control of your conversations
End a conversation whenever you want, and use reporting and blocking when needed. Respect other people's cultures and choices. Do not share passwords, verification codes or private information. Voice calls require microphone permission. NEON is a community for conversations between users, rather than a teacher-led course or a fixed curriculum.

Set your languages and interests, look through a profile and start with hello.
