Game crashes chronically, it freezes after winning a match then gets stuck in animation loops until I either restart my iPad completely or am able to close the game out. It freezes a lot and literally the only reason I’m still trying and will continue to is to get the site rewards. ### 2/5 — Few frustrations *2026-07-10* I really want to support Neopets as a long time fan, but there are certain levels that you just can’t pass without having to buy power ups or spending real life money to ensure you can finish the level. They want to you to buy power ups and so the make it next to impossible to beat, which is a new thing, because this wasn’t the case six months ago. How you gonna expect me to get rid of 68 green icons when there isn’t one in the square to eliminate? I’m not giving you guys a penny. Best part was that I directly made NP from playing. Man I can still hear the background music and sound effects. Getting rid of ghoul catchers was a huge mistake and if they ever DO decide to bring it back but as a “new revived” version I s2g… ### 3/5 — Good Game, just lacking story *2026-04-03, version 1.4.4* Been waiting for the next part of the story to come out for over a year now. I shouldn’t be entering level 5 being told “let’s match 5 colours in a row!” I get the game at this point, pretty clear. Can I just play? Why the incessant pop ups telling you the obvious? Not the most stimulating gameplay but it does offer fair rewards. So glad i am. ### 1/5 — Unplayable on iPad *2026-08-08* This game is absolutely shocking on iPad. Constant crashes. Load into the game - crash. Load a level - crash. Get into the level - crash. Actually play the level but set off a combo with a lot of animations - crash. Finally finish the level - crash before registering completed. Finish the level and register complete - crash before you can get into the next level. You are lucky to get a good run where you can play more than one level in a row and if you do the game then glitches out and the screen goes really bright and you can’t actually see anything so forced to restart the app. Keeping in mind this is a match 3 game that gets difficult the further through the story you get. Imagine getting to a really difficult level that takes days and days of restarting before you finally get lucky enough to beat it… yep that’s right - crash and back to square one. Seriously don’t bother with this game on an iPad. Should be pulled from the store because it’s clearly not compatible. **Developer response:** Hi there! We'll do our best to resolve it. ### 1/5 — Glitchy App *2026-08-02, version 1.4.8* This App has been crashing consistently since the most recent update. I can barely play one level before it crashes. It often crashes as I beat the level, which makes it not count the level as having been beaten. Not to mention that once you beat the game, you go into champion mode and only get 25 event coins per level, even boosted to 38, you have to beat 132 levels to get 5000 event coins. It’s tedious and annoying when you can’t play through multiple levels without it crashing. Not sure why everyone is not giving bad reviews at this point it’s literally intolerable at this point. ### 1/5 — A miserable experience *2026-07-19, version 1.4.7* I’m sure many people who like this style of game get a lot out of Faerie Fragments. There’s a ton of content (albeit repetitive) and it can eat a lot of your time. I play strategy games daily. Board, card, PC, you name it. This is not a strategy game, despite the attempts to claim as much. It is slop. The only reason I’ve ever played this game is that, as a dedicated Neopets player, I am essentially forced into playing this garbage game to get non-repeatable rewards that carry over to the real game. Well no more. I’m uninstalling and will never play again. The only people playing and supporting are those too in the weeds to break free of what TNT is trying to force on their players. It is a shameful display all around. ### 1/5 — Garbage *2026-03-16, version 1.4.3* This match-3 app has been lagging where 3D MMOs never have. That's how bad optimization is. It's not only annoying, it even gets my moves wrong because of the lag! Do you think that makes it unplayable? You don't know the half of it! With this new update, it crashes all the time. When I open the app. When I open a level. Right when I finish a level, but before it's counted as finished, just to screw with me. This is the very definition of unplayable! ### 1/5 — Waste of time/crashes/unbalanced *2026-02-26, version 1.4.3* I am a main site player. Game unbalances the main site by pulling long time players in for the linked rewards only to limit them. Exclusive avíes that are nearly unobtainable unless you invite yourself or have a very large friend group willing to put up with the crashes in every level, after every level, and even before levels load. Open the app every time to multiple pop ups lagging out and force closing the app so you have to go through that a few times. After grinding time for event points many no like almost everyone cannot even claim the site rewards even with a one per player limit because of world limits. More of a cash grab through the main site to try and keep long time players. Makes me wanna just leave the community all together. Poor communication and understanding to main player base. Again I’m only here for main site rewards. I’m giving it a 1 because I can’t give it ZERO. Balance the app with main site if you are going to link it and get the crashes and pop-ups to chill. Update to my review: Game has actually gotten worse. Same repeated events but now they have more then doubled the cost of linked items. The main site items are nearly impossible to get for casual players. They added trophies for being in the top 10 but most casual players will never reach that level. I have been completely unable to. The game will say my payment was successful, then get stuck perpetually on the “payment processing, please wait” screen, and nothing happens. One time it charged me and I never got my coins or items in game but thankfully ever since then I haven’t gotten charged but I’ve since been completely unable to purchase anything whatsoever in app. I want to purchase the premium track for the events but I’m locked out. I’ve emailed support but I only ever get a generic “We’re sorry you’re experiencing this. We’re looking into it and will reach back out when we have a solution” response and I NEVER hear back. I have to follow up myself and they’re always like “we fixed it in the latest update.” NO YOU DIDN’T. IT’S STILL HAPPENING. After which I AGAIN get the “We’re sorry, we’ll reach back out when we have a solution” canned nonsense. Love the seamless tie between the app and my neopass. Rewards system very balanced and the game is challenging enough but totally playable even if you cant spend real money :) game has had no ads but will start having minimal ads to claim free rewards according to dev team notice. Overall app is super cute, smooth, and enjoyable. Multiple game modes to keep it interesting and there are other play options when you run out of lives even.
