### 3/5 — Please stop the mandatory & unnecessary updates !

*2024-08-05*

-the app refuses to launch if you don’t do the update, so no choice there
-there is an update almost weekly since June (when the app was working great) which doesn’t improve anything, on the contrary. This week last update makes the device stop unexpectedly

### 2/5 — App needs to be in foreground and training terminates randomly

*2024-07-21*

The app must not only be running, it must be open in the foreground/active on screen. You cannot even put the screen to sleep without the sound training terminating. Sometimes the training spontaneously stops even when the application screen is open and you are in Bluetooth range. Very frustrating app to use…

### 4/5 — Unlike anything else! But needs a little work

*2024-05-31*

Great app and device. It's helped with my tinnitus in a way that no other service is able to do. I am incredibly thankful.

However, it is frustrating that I can't use the app while it's in the background. It significantly affects my experience as a user.

### 2/5 — Broad range

*2024-05-16, version 3.9.5*

Broad range is not working with the wristband. The wristband does not respond at all.

### 2/5 — Unreliable

*2024-02-08*

I use it for tinnitus. It regularly resets the counter during my sessions so that I have to restart them. If you try and dim you screen brightness the timer resets. If you stay too long on the daily rating page, the timer resets. If you trying poking around the app to see what’s available, the timer resets. The timer also just rests randomly. Aside from reliability it would be great if I could background the app during a session. Shoot my a notification when my session is over.

### 2/5 — Didn’t work for me

*2023-11-07, version 3.8.8*

Been using this for about a month or so and hasn’t helped my tinnitus at all unfortunately

### 1/5 — Worthless -do not buy

*2023-06-15*

Downloaded the app and paid the ridiculously high price for the cheap vibration watch. This does not work, it’s a scam. These jokers created an app that beeps and tried to convince people to pay $1,000 for it. Someone on their management team said, “No way will people pay $1,000 for an app that beeps. Let’s include this cheap, vibrating pseudo watch!”
Complete rip off, worthless. Doesn’t help with tinnitus, app crashes all the time, vibrating watch needs charged every two days.

### 2/5 — Neosensory app not compatible with iPhone 11

*2023-06-08, version 3.7.0*

You should let people know before they purchase the wristband the app is not compatible with iPhone 11. If there is an update to make this compatible, please advise

### 2/5 — Make this run in background and 5 stars

*2023-06-04*

It’s unbearable that this app cannot be ran in the background. Fix this already!!!

### 3/5 — Update for background play

*2023-05-01*

I would rate this app higher but it turns off audio when you move the app to background. While spending 20-40 minutes of my time listening to tones it would be great to be able to read, catch up on email, or play game but the minute you shift app focus, Neosensory turns off.

### 1/5 — Primitive

*2023-04-05*

App is written by amateurs. Please hire a professional team and redo the app. Main problems are:
1. Doesn’t run in the background. Phone is useless during the period you are using.
2. It shuts down when you receive a call. Also it shuts down with certain other notifications.

### 1/5 — Useless product

*2023-03-12, version 3.5.1*

After very diligent, trying the Neosensory for 5 weeks I had zero results and only a negative experience, unfortunately.

### 1/5 — Science? But the app is garbage

*2023-02-22*

I don’t know how well the science works (at $250 a month, it better!) but this application is very poorly built.

First - your phone can’t be doing ANYTHING when it’s in the 10 min daily training mode. Really. The app has to be in the foreground and the MODE of the app has to be in training. The phone can’t be sleeping, so you can’t, say, take a walk while listening etc. Absolutely amateur hour.

Also, the app is very buggy. For example, every single time you start the tinnitus mode, it plays for about a second and then tries to run the “how is your tinnitus today?” dialog, which, per above, TURNS OFF the tinnitus mode. So 100% of the time you have to start it twice. This is just plain lazy - it’s not like you wouldn’t notice this in testing.

Design is also very poor. When training your tinnitus, they put up a dialog to make sure you’re not in silent mode. Ok, fine, though that screen has plenty of room for a silent warning instead of a dialog that has to be clicked. Every. Single. Time. You make a change to the setting, as you are dialing in the tone.

Also, the info on the science is basically nonexistent. What if I have more than one tone? What if I do more than 10 min a day? Is it better to be in a quiet place, or a loud one? Earphones or not? You, dear reader, will be left alone to ponder these mysteries. $250 does not get you much from this crowd.

Honestly, after about 10 days of diligent use, I see no impact at all. I’m fairly sure this is a scam, though I can’t prove it. But, even if it isn’t, this is one of the laziest app developers I’ve ever had the misfortune of encountering.

Buyer beware.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Won’t accept my Valid email address

*2025-05-17, version 4.0.6*

App isn’t letting me create an account with my Gmail address. Keeps telling me to use a valid email address. About to send the strap back. It’s useless without the app.

### 1/5 — An unknown error occurred

*2025-04-01, version 4.0.6*

App no longer works for iOS . Uninstalled and reinstalled. Rebooted phone - no good. I’m guessing we won’t hear from the developers seeing dozens or reviews with no replies. I wasted $699 on this bracelet… Neosensory.com is also down. Real nice

### 1/5 — Poor app design

*2024-10-10*

I’m on week five of this program. I can’t tell yet if it’s had a significant impact. But I’m committed to working for the entire two months. The most frustrating part of this program is the app. It is wildly rudimentary, and the most annoying thing is that if you accidentally close the app during a session, it shuts the software down, the timer resets, and you have to start all over again. There is absolutely no technical reason other than just sloppy design for this. I’m not the only person who has complained, but apparently, the developer doesn’t care about Customer feedback.

### 1/5 — Interesting idea, but didn’t help

*2024-06-10, version 3.9.6*

Unfortunately, using this bracelet/app had no impact on my tinnitus.

### 1/5 — Tinnitus relief

*2024-03-30, version 3.9.2*

First time in my life writing a review, to be honest it’s completely a waste of time and money. Would not recommend to anyone with tinnitus at least. I used for 45 days my tinnitus remained at the same level.

### 1/5 — Don’t buy

*2024-03-30, version 3.9.2*

I really wanted this to work for me but it didn’t. I returned the device a month ago (within the return period), got an email that they received it but I’m still waiting to get my money back.

Horrible company!

### 1/5 — nice idea very buggy app

*2023-12-15, version 3.8.8*

used for 1 month+ with no positive results. device does not stay connected and will not let me reconnect as it did before after a few tries.. several dozen tries later no luck connecting and only option is to contact support via email with 29mb log file that is too large to send via gmail.

### 1/5 — Pitiful customer service

*2023-11-15, version 3.8.8*

It worked for 4 days and now it won’t connect to my iPhone - I did the factory reset to no avail. I’ll be returning the band, what a disappointment.

### 1/5 — Nice people who can’t build an app.

*2023-09-19, version 3.8.5*

Friendly. Nice. Concerned. But they can’t build an app. Advice: go out and find some mean people who can make your app work.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work / Returned device — no refund

*2023-06-23, version 3.7.0*

This device didn’t work for me, if fact, my tinnitus is worse than it was before I used it. Marketing materials say you can return for full refund — but after returning, I’ve yet to receive my refund.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works with wristband well

*2025-09-25*

Works for me. So glad to see the app back and tweaks made. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Works well

*2025-03-29*

I’ve used this device for over a year. It can be very subjective as to how well it works. I was without it at one point for a few months. My spouse kept asking if my hearing aids were working. Once I got the bracelet replaced she did not keep asking about my hearing aids. I also find following TV dialogue easier using this band while wearing my hearing aids. I find the app works well and being able to use the band in sleep mode to wake me to emergency sounds and at my preferred wake up time a bonus. I have severe to profound hearing loss and find this product worth the cost.

### 5/5 — Definitely lowers tinnitus

*2024-07-12, version 3.9.8*

I’ve been using the device for several years—there’s no doubt that the very loud tinnitus I had in my deaf ear is hugely improved, and that in the other ear sometimes now I can hardly hear at all. Please give it a try. Watch Dr. Eagleton's TED talk about why his lab developed it. The science of brain plasticity. My tinnitus still fluctuates but when it roars back I put the wrist band back on and by the next day it’s back to tolerable. I also use as adjunct therapies lemon (citrus) bioflavonoids and COQ10 which increase circulation in tiny capillaries and seem to help. Consult ConsumerLab.com for other science-based suggestions.

### 5/5 — Life Changing after 12 years - Needs Improvement

*2024-05-24*

First, let me say that I am not affiliated in anyway with Neosensory, and I am not communicating with them. This is a 100% organic review. I’ve suffered with Tinnitus for 12 years which developed after a scuba diving trip. Decided to try the Neosensory band and App. For the first time in 12 years I have silence for a short amount of time. Using the device / app gets me about 20-30 minutes of silence & I experienced this the first time I used it. After 12 years of ringing in my ear, it is hard to describe the amount of relief I feel in this state. There is still something a little there. It’s not a ring, though it’s almost like a soft static sound hard to describe, but it is not ring. It is almost imperceptible. I’ve only had it for 4 days and it has been incredible to be able to finally turn it off for a half hour and breath a sigh of relief. Eventually, the tinnitus does return, but I just use it again. I use it three or four times a day now. It has given me hope that there might eventually be a cure and I am overjoyed that I have a way to battle my flareups. They are so bad that sometimes they wake me up at night. All of this said, I think it’s important to recognize that there may be different variants of tinnitus out there and it may not work for everyone. One slight negative of using the device is I am more aware of the ringing now than I had become a custom to over the years. It’s sort of like if you never get that silence you sort of ignore it more. Once you experience that silence again, you are more aware of when it comes back so I guess there’s some give-and-take with us, but at least I have a tool to battle it.

Additionally, it is extremely annoying to have to leave the app open in order to use it. I’m not a fan of that, so I put it on one of my old iPhones that are specifically for this purpose and I keep my main iPhone for other uses. I’m so thankful to neosensory for the research. I will definitely be keeping this and will update if there any additional changes after a few months.

### 5/5 — Relief

*2024-03-16, version 3.9.2*

Using the Neosensory app and tinnitus program has greatly reduced my tinnitus and has restored peace of mind.

### 5/5 — This app Improved my quality of life

*2023-09-19*

I just bought Buzz to try because I have tinnitus and I have already see the difference, my tinnitus symptoms decreased and now I’m experiencing it less. I hope it can decrease symptoms even more.
Thank you very much!

### 5/5 — Highly recommend

*2023-09-17*

I’m so excited about this product, it helped me a lot to minimize my tinnitus symptoms. 5+

### 5/5 — Brings music back to life

*2021-10-24*

This device has helped me be able to ‘hear’ music fully again! I’m a musician and I can’t hear high ranges so this has been a blessing for sure!!

### 5/5 — So cool

*2020-05-11*

I have cochlear implants and I can’t always hear what people say, not to mention my cochlears are Bluetooth so I can’t hear what people say when I’m Bluetooth. So this is really helpful. Highly recommend. I also like how you can turn it down so when your walking and swinging your arms it doesn’t sense the wind and buzz. The modes are also really cool. When I got completely deaf the first thing I was scared of while sleeping was not hearing the fire alarm. This thing conquers my fear. Awesome

### 5/5 — Sound awareness

*2020-02-28*

It’s awesome to be aware of sounds around you. My door was creaking so I gave it some lube to make it quiet. I learned that the washer/dryer/microwave button make sounds when pressed, not just to notify when finished. It’s even a six sense. You can wear noise canceling headphones and still be aware of sounds around you. Excellent and prompt service by the creators as well. Looking forward to experimenting with other possible uses being developed from the open API.
