The voice is soft British accent and not what I hear every day so I notice my brain doesn’t shut down. I am still trying to relax after it’s over. So I listen during the day to destress but it doesn’t put me to sleep. I would like to be able to choose what accent or language is spoken in the stories. ### 1/5 — $40 / month *2026-03-17, version 1.0.10* Don’t fall for it. They charge every month. So sad. Luckily my credit card is denying the charges, but I have not yet but heard back from a customer service rep to get this sorted out. Meaning being read one right another with no stopping in between. But no. It only plays one reading/story then it shuts off. I was under the impression that it would continue to play until I shut it off. I bought this for calm reading through the night to “calm my mind” to sleep better. I can’t use this to do that. I have to stay awake to start another story. How is this calming? There is nothing in the settings to change to reading continuously. I wasted $60. I’ll just have The Book of Mormon read continuously. How can I cancel and get my $60 back? ### 1/5 — This is a confirmed scam *2026-03-01, version 1.0.10* DO NOT PURCHASE A SUBSCRIPTION! This is a scam. The company is in Abu Dabi, and everything, including the narrations, is generated by AI. Even the responses to the reviews are AI. Here’s what happens: You’ll be charged for your annual subscription, and then it will continue to charge you the same amount or more every single month. Even if you cancel the subscription they will keep charging you. Church Intellectual Property has been made aware of it. So has Apple. I understand the Church is working on getting it stopped. But if Apple won’t do anything I’m not sure what can be done. ### 4/5 — Great App, but…. *2026-02-25, version 1.0.9* This is a wonderful app. My only complaint is that it doesn’t connect to Apple Health ### 1/5 — JUST DON’T *2026-02-25, version 1.0.9* I can’t believe that an LDS app would scam someone who only wanted to find some peace through the gospel, but that’s exactly what they have done. I paid for the app many months ago and then decided the cost as prohibitive to me and canceled. I checked on my subscriptions today and it was definitely canceled. However, I discovered just a while ago that I am being charged $39 monthly and have been charged that amount for many months. I’m going to the bank tomorrow and will take care of this scam quickly. You have no conscience, developers, and I hope your “business” goes down in flames!! ### 1/5 — Scammers who keep charging!! *2026-02-13, version 1.0.9* Do NOT get this app! I cancelled my subscription after trying the monthly for $6.99. Since then they have charged my card $29.99 a month later and $24.99 every month after even after cancelling. I have emailed them and they haven’t made it right. I just got a new charge and have to keep calling my bank to dispute. These guys are crooks!! Please find a way to make it loop or do continuous play. It would be great if you could choose it to play several of the stories back to back without having to stop and manually push play for the the next one. Well, the app just wasn’t quite what I hoped it would’ve been and I requested a refund. After several emails back-and-forth, I wasn’t given a refund, but I was charged an additional $29.99. Emails and I finally got the $29.99 refund. But I am still currently fighting for the $39.99. Customer service does not respond and they send auto reply emails and then never get back to you. I try to support LDS apps, but if you are not satisfied with the app make sure to cancel the subscription before they bill you. They will probably respond to this and say “I’m sorry, please contact our support and give an email. Just want you to know I already have done this, and they do not listen. It’s unfortunate because the idea of the app is good, but they need to be a little more understanding of technology difficulties and if people don’t want the app DO NOT force them to keep it. It is not good company policy. I personally do not line the speakers tine as he reads. If you try to cancel to stop recurring charges you lose access to the site so that’s just basically over $70 thrown away. There has to be another app that does the same thing only with the love and guidance that should be intended. It’s always bad at night. Nephi Calm helps to settle my anxiety and nerves. It has helped me understand the deep of our Savior’s love in a different light. I love listening to Nephi Calm so much I also share it with my family and it helps strengthen their understanding and testimony of the scriptures. It’s just a unique way of learning more in depth about the scriptures besides just reading them. But I love the narrators voice and accent, and I love the options of either rain, piano background music or just the narrater speaking.
