### 2/5 — AI Usage

*2026-08-16, version 4.1.86*

I had this app for about 2 weeks and I loved it a lot. But then I realized that they use AI and some of the facts are wrong. I'm super disappointed because I love the concept of the app. Maybe if this gets fixed and Nerdish becomes credible I'll redownload it.

### 3/5 — Good app concept, but cannot verify articles and they often include grammatical mishaps!

*2026-07-31, version 4.1.71*

I’ve been enjoying this app so far, it’s a nice way to do some light reading and learn things here and there instead of scrolling. However, it irritates me that there are no references or source material linked in the articles. Plus, I keep on reading quite obvious grammatical mistakes in these articles which makes that even harder to ignore, and makes me question the validity of what I’m reading (also just makes for a worse reading experience). Hopefully this is at least proof that the articles aren’t written by ai lol

### 2/5 — Great App Idea, Poorly Executed

*2026-07-19, version 4.1.58*

I love the idea behind this app, but ended up deleting the app after reading one article. This was due to the poor writing style and citations.

When downloading Nerdish I was looking for reads that would be approachable while still intellectual. What was read lacked scholastic level writing. Keywords/citations were misspelled, the citation format was inconsistent, no rhetorical awareness, etc.

If I am going to an app for knowledge, articles should be written by an author that is an academic, professional, or expert in the subject matter.

### 2/5 — Uneducated education

*2026-06-19, version 4.1.52*

Apparently limited number of articles. Consistently poor writing eroded my faith in the quality of the information, although I did enjoy learning from a few articles. I bought a three month subscription but canceled after less than two weeks.

### 3/5 — It’s nice, but too many incorrect “facts”

*2026-02-28, version 4.1.40*

This app is great for some topics I’ll give it that, but as someone who’s taken many courses on various subjects, some things are simply incorrect. For instance, I was reading one subject they had called “What did our ancestors eat?” And not only did they use the standard image of evolution (which has been proven to not be accurate at all) but they also stated that women mostly gathered and men hunted (while still gathering). While this is a very common misconception, it was actually very 50 50 on who hunted and who gathered. In fact, the reason why we were lead to believe this was because of archeologists back in I believe the 1900’s, who had such sexist ideals they simply imagined that it was the women who gathered and do all of the meal preparations while the men went out and hunted for meat. This has since been proven to be incorrect. Anyways, my point is that this app needs to get its facts straight. There’s still a great deal to learn from it, but you should have some aloud in each subject in order to see what’s true or not.

### 3/5 — Two things…

*2026-01-16, version 4.0.31*

I like this app, a lot! But I want to ask the Developers two things:

1) How often do you plan your add more content? Currently, I count less than 150 articles spread across 8 different categories. I probably would read 3 articles a day, which would mean I would have nothing new to look at in less than 2 months.
Even if I only read 1 article a day, I still would finish this app in less than half a year.
Why should I subscribe annually??

2) Obviously you can charge whatever you want for a subscription, but I feel $40 annually is too high, especially when one starts to look at other apps in this category.
I would like to see you offer a one time purchase price instead of a subscription. I would probably pay a one time fee of $40, if I had an assurance of content to be continually added for some time.

Just my 2¢

Again, I do like this app. Please consider adding a one time purchase option, and comment on adding more content.

Thank you! 🥂

### 3/5 — Great Topics Mediocre Writing

*2026-01-15, version 4.0.31*

Title says it all. Origin of wine? Great topic. But here is a sentence from the first paragraph:
“But why do we love it as much as ancient Romans did and still fret over the merits of overpriced Bordeaux for thousands of years?”

### 4/5 — Need more articles on philosophy and topics like psychology

*2026-01-10, version 4.0.31*

My mental health has been bad so I’ve tried taking up reading and its been working a little but im really into philosophy but there isnt that much on here would like to see more

### 5/5 — This app really helped me

*2025-12-30, version 4.0.30*

Now I could spend this entire review just telling you how I think it’s so cool but I’m gonna tell you my favorite saying that really works with this app if you’re tired of the same old thing then stop doing the same old thing. This app really showed me new things and it didn’t keep me held back on the same topic because I didn’t get it absolutely perfect. It makes sure that you remember things the definition of insanity is to repeatedly do the same thing and expect a different outcome so stop doing the same thing and try something new.

### 3/5 — Sell sell sell

*2025-10-31, version 4.0.7*

You get a bit of information and then they want you to buy more. Too many ads.

### 3/5 — Inaccurate information

*2025-09-16, version 4.0.2*

I do like the app and find most of the articles informative. However there are quite a few typos and mistakes in the articles. It’s a bit hard for me to be confident with the material after seeing many inaccurate information in them.

### 4/5 — Review

*2025-08-23, version 3.34*

The app is really good. It’s simple and interactive but I can’t search for anything which is a bummer.

### 3/5 — Where’s the Proofing?

*2025-08-20, version 3.34*

There’s some good information here, but the improper English usage makes it a chore to read. Punctuation, typos, and sentence structure mishaps run rampant throughout this app. I’d recommend to them that they hire an editor to iron out these wrinkles. Again, it’s not a bad app, but the quality of writing needs some work.

### 5/5 — Nerdish

*2025-08-08, version 3.34*

Really fun way to learn new things and really is useful if you don’t have books

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Scam

*2026-08-15, version 4.1.86*

Can’t read anything without an ad. Either that or you pay for a subscription.

### 1/5 — AI Usage

*2026-08-11, version 4.1.81*

If you’re not looking for it or thinking about it, you will miss that they use AI, OR it might even be marketed to you that they are AI free, as it was for me. I don’t specifically blame Nerdish for that marketing because I heard about it from someone else promoting them. I started reading an article and immediately got this feeling that they were using AI, and sure enough, if you go into Settings and FAQ, they say that they have a team of real human editors, but they admit that they use AI with the excuse that “most modern companies do.” I do appreciate the upfront honesty about it, but this is no excuse!!! AI is untrustworthy in its sources and information. There are other reviews even complaining about inaccurate information. Even if they’re not using it for “aiding in” writing the articles (which I doubt), AI data centers are putting our planet at HIGH risk of destruction and ruin, not to mention all of the jobs that AI is taking from artists. Please Nerdish, if you read this, I beg you to reconsider. I love the concept of this app. I really wish I could bring myself to enjoy it, but as a human who highly values art, intelligence, our planet, and HUMAN made connections and knowledge… I just can’t.

### 1/5 — Written by AI?

*2026-04-15, version 4.1.48*

The first article I read is full of mistakes and contradictions…

### 1/5 — Not able to delete

*2026-03-17, version 4.1.43*

I have been trying to delete the app since I got it. I have emailed Nerdish twice, but still unable to cancel it.
As you seem to be replying to the reviews on here.
Please don’t charge me, I really don’t want your app and I am in the free trial period

### 1/5 — Can’t access premium content I paid for

*2025-10-30, version 4.0.6*

Bought a subscription as articles interesting and haven’t time to watch ads - but can’t access it as the create account/login screen crashed. Waiting for response from customer support….

### 1/5 — Scam alert

*2025-10-16, version 4.0.5*

My subscription if good until July 2026 and it’s October 2025 and nerdish decided not to make it valid, money wasted, lesson learned

### 1/5 — Good concept; inconsistent execution

*2025-04-25, version 3.34*

Though I liked this app at first when I further reviewed some of the information it was either skewed or false. Also I have gone through a lot of the content in way less than a year. Wish I could get a refund.

### 1/5 — Charged after cancelling

*2025-02-14, version 3.33*

I have downloaded this app and after about 1 hour deleted it and cancelled as it didn’t appear to be worth it. I’ve noticed the charge regardless (£36) and emailed them, talked to my bank but Nerdish never responded to me but responded to the bank with their T&C saying I have not cancelled on time. Really bad service and clearly no user journey planned properly. Stay away from

### 1/5 — Pretty far left

*2025-01-21, version 3.33*

Eh some interesting topics but definitely left wing stuff like how wonderful communism is. No bueno

### 1/5 — adverts ruin this

*2024-09-24, version 3.32*

great app with interesting info, but the apps are ridiculous! can read one page before being given an unskippable 2 minute advert. Disrupts the learning process

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Nerdish : General Knowledge Application

*2026-08-11, version 4.1.81*

Learn Something New Every Day

### 5/5 — Wonderful to learn

*2026-07-22*

This app is a real treasure ! It’s easy to use it, the informations are not too hard to understand so it makes it accessible for everyone. It has also a big variety of topics and even if you don’t take a premium subscription you can totally learn things just fine. To keep your brain from rotting during vacation and gain culture it’s perfect!

**Developer response:** Thank you! We’re happy you like the app, and we really appreciate your support.

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2026-07-17, version 4.1.58*

This app is a great way to replace doomscrolling and gain a heightened understanding in one’s interests, possibly even help as study material for students or just to provide background insight.

### 5/5 — Overall a great aid for learning!

*2026-06-07, version 4.1.50*

I often find myself doomscrolling when i have nothing better going on, instead of doing that i now read on this app. I find it highly entertaining and an excellent outlet for learning. One question though is this app ai programmed? Thankyou

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2026-05-25*

Personally I am a nerd and this information packed app is just perfect for passing idle time instead of doom scrolling through hours. It helps me improve my knowledge. Definitely something for me

**Developer response:** Thank you! We’re glad the app feels useful and easy to fit into small moments. Happy to hear it helps you keep learning something new.

### 5/5 — Suggestion!

*2026-05-18, version 4.1.50*

I love this app, I am constantly learning new things every day and it has a wide variety of topics to choose from. However, a feature that I believe would better this app is adding comprehension questions after you are finished reading your article. Overall, though, this app has been amazing otherwise and I can’t wait to see how it advances in the future!

### 5/5 — Sehr gute kostenlose Artikel

*2026-03-12*

🙏 Solches Feedback motiviert uns sehr. Schön, dass du Nerdish genießt!

### 5/5 — Perfectizion

*2026-01-03, version 4.0.30*

Amazing app to learn more about the world around us.

### 5/5 — My brain is mega now

*2025-12-31, version 4.0.30*

These articles are so interesting and well written. I am a READER…I love to read and I love to learn. And still, these bite size articles give me something that has been unattainable to me since I was in primary school. They almost give that passage you have to scan on the yearly standardized tests to answer multiple choice questions, but without the pressure, in style and length. AND the info it’s giving is full manuscript with all the fat cut out (or only the fat, I love the juicy fat) for a quick read. Want to wow your trivia team? Want to know a little about everything? Looking for a spark to love life again and feel less doomed here on Earth?!?!? (No, really!) It’s reigniting my love for learning at the base level, and giving me comfort about the nature of humanity on a deeper level (like, why did I just cry reading an article about the printing press?!?!?). This Earth is amazing, humans are actually so neat, history is so vast and interesting, thanks for the reminder Nerdish.

### 5/5 — Review rating

*2025-12-30, version 4.0.30*

This is a great app to help you learn about different topics that you want to read about!. I learned a lot from this app! It’s. 10/10!
