## What is Nerpa Tales?

Live a wild seal's day. Nerpa Tales is a collection of six survival mini-games about ringed seals — the nerpa — set in two real habitats: the Baltic Sea and Lake Baikal.

Every mini-game is a real survival challenge these seals face:

BALTIC SEA
• Deep Dive — dive for herring, manage your breath, dodge nets and jellyfish
• Ice Break Escape — hop across breaking ice floes, dive for fish, escape the fox and the eagle
• Snow Lair — stack a snow lair for your pup before the storm hits

LAKE BAIKAL
• Deep Hunt — hunt translucent golomyanka in the dark depths, scrape breathing holes open
• Ice Slide — slide the spring ice, weave and collect fish
• Pup's First Spring — feed, warm, and hide a pup until it can hunt on its own

REAL PLACES, REAL FACTS
The habitat maps are drawn from real coastline data, and 28 collectible facts about ringed seals are checked against scientific sources. Biology is taught through play: you learn that golomyanka are translucent because you can only see them in the dark.
