They are not here to help you but they are here to steal your money. They charge hefty amount for rent agreement renewable (2500) per person like literally it can be done in 500 rupees . They increase your deposit amount in mid year . The area manager keeps on giving you fake hopes that it will be resolved. Moreover it has worst customer care support. I keep on raising the support tickets and they keep on resolving them without even talking with me. Who so ever is reading this review please do not repeat the mistake that i have done . It is better to rent the house with the help Of a local broker than using this pathetic app. I have decided to move out of their property but i am concerned about the security money that i have deposited. They are gonna try to deduct as much money as possible from my deposited amount. ### 1/5 — Security deposit and fraud *2026-06-08, version 4.3.3* Nestaway is the worst company to be honest. I have paid security deposit, instead of returning any money they are asking extra 5.5k from me. The notice period is coming as a shortfall of 14 days, but in the dashboard it is reflecting as 7 days extra! So they are charging extra money in the name of not serving notice period. They have also mailed me that they will take legal action if I fail to pay the money. Now coming to settlement charges, they are asking for unnecessary charges like extra one month charge for painting (low quality coming off easily), for cleaning (which is a basic necessity) they are deducting 2999, pest control (only 4-5 small cockroaches in the kitchen, hit spray will be enough) they are charging 1999, taps are in perfect condition they are still charging so much. Every time these fraud companies theatre us and rob money from us. I think now it is time we, the consumers need to take a stand and complain against them. Let us take legal action this time. I have found too many complaints against nestaway, I think its time to fight against this fraud company together. I have raised several complaints but no actions were taken. Better to take rented apartments by paying brokerage than relying on nestaway. Please don’t do this mistake like me. Go to google check reviews and then take decision. They are cheaters. I’m not the only one saying this. You can check google reviews. #boycottnestaway ### 1/5 — Worst service and unprofessional *2026-01-22, version 4.0.0* I have lived for 1.5years, starting from checkin, they are only intrested in geeting the advance. The property manager doesnot care about checkin process the flat was not cleaned and messy even after repeated calls there was no proper response. I have checked-out recently and they have done multiple deductions in my security deposit stating damage even there is no damage , when taken to property manager he gave a vage reply saying iam not responsible and talk to customer care. I have raised multiple tickets and followup calls to the customer care. No one has addressed the issue. The ticket was un attended and my deposit is completely stuck in it. They have deducted unnecessary in name of damage even there js no damage and put bills as unpaid utility bills where i have paid all the bills. Please stay away from this service if you want to have a peaceful stay. Dont get trapped seeing all the fake reviews ### 5/5 — Worst Rental Experience – Unjustified Charges & No Refund *2026-01-20, version 4.0.0* Nestaway always charges tenants without proper clarification for house condition or maintenance. They add unnecessary utility and move-out service charges even after all electricity and other bills are fully paid. Shockingly, even after initiating move-out, the Nestaway team still asks for agreement renewal charges. My security deposit has not been refunded even after the promised 7-day period. Customer support is completely unhelpful and never connects you to a manager. Overall, a very frustrating experience. I would not recommend Nestaway to anyone. ### 1/5 — Worst Rental Experience with NestAway – Misleading Commitments, Excessive Charges, and Poor Support *2026-01-09, version 4.0.0* If you are looking for a housing service that perfectly demonstrates how not to treat tenants, NestAway stands out as one of the worst. The experience begins with a heavy upfront cost—one full month’s rent taken as brokerage—creating expectations of professionalism that are never fulfilled. False assurances are part of the problem. At the time of onboarding, I was clearly informed that proper car parking would be available. In reality, parking became a daily struggle. The space was either inadequate or poorly managed, and I consistently faced difficulties parking my vehicle. Eventually, the situation became so inconvenient that I was forced to park outside the premises, despite having chosen the property specifically based on the promise of proper parking facilities. As the tenancy progresses, the situation only worsens. When it comes time to vacate, NestAway deducts another one month’s rent under the label of painting charges, regardless of the actual condition of the house. Customer care remains largely unresponsive, and raising complaints through their platform is intentionally complicated, making resolution nearly impossible. The imposed six-month lock-in period further aggravates the experience. Vacating during this period results in significant financial loss. To make matters worse, updated agreements with revised terms are issued, and if a tenant does not sign them, NestAway assumes implicit consent and enforces the new terms, including rent hikes. This creates a never-ending loop where tenants are financially and contractually trapped. Overall, the service reflects poor transparency, misleading commitments, and unfair practices. Based on this harsh reality, it is strongly advised to avoid NestAway’s services and learn from the experiences of others before making such commitments. ### 1/5 — Important *2025-10-25, version 3.7.2* We had a very disappointing experience with NestAway regarding our stay at a property in Hosapalya (HSR Layout) from February 2025 to October 4, 2025. We paid a ₹49,500 deposit, and at the time of move-in, the area property manager was very responsive. However, after move-in, his attitude completely changed — he became unresponsive, careless, and never addressed our concerns properly. Initially, we were told no water bill by the property manager, but later the owner asked us to pay both water and electricity bills, which we still agreed to. During move-out, the experience got much worse: The property manager did not respond to our calls or messages. The inspection was postponed multiple times and finally conducted on October 8, 2025, without our presence, even though our move-out date was clearly given as October 4, 2025, 11 AM. After this, NestAway deducted unreasonable charges from our deposit, including: Painting: ₹16,500 Water + Electricity: ₹2,500 (actual bill was ₹500 + ₹36) Repairs & Cleaning: Around ₹6,000 for things like shower, tap, and regulator — which were already faulty when we moved in and had been reported to the manager. After all deductions, we are receiving only ₹21,000 out of ₹49,500, which is unfair and unacceptable. We contacted around 10 customer support agents, raised multiple tickets, and every single one was closed without proper resolution. NestAway needs to treat tenants fairly during move-out, just as they do during move-in. Once they collect rent and deposit, they stop responding. This has been a terrible experience with an unresponsive property manager and unhelpful customer service. Would never recommend NestAway to anyone based on this experience. ### 1/5 — Disappointing Experience with Unfair Deductions *2025-10-18, version 3.7.2* As a user of the Nestaway app, my experience has been highly disappointing due to their unethical practices and lack of transparency, particularly regarding deposit deductions. After moving out, I was shocked to see unnecessary and inflated deductions from my security deposit. For instance, my electricity bill was ₹988, but Nestaway deducted ₹1100, with no clear justification for the additional amount. This kind of arbitrary deduction feels like an exploitative practice, leaving tenants frustrated and cheated. What’s more concerning is that my experience is not isolated. A quick look at social media platforms reveals numerous similar complaints from other users, highlighting a pattern of unfair deductions and poor customer service. Despite this widespread negative feedback, Nestaway seems unresponsive to addressing these issues, which adds to the sense of helplessness for consumers. The app itself may offer convenience for finding rentals, but these unethical financial practices overshadow any benefits. As a consumer, it’s disheartening to feel powerless against such unfair treatment. I strongly urge potential users to be cautious and thoroughly review the terms before engaging with Nestaway. Transparency and accountability need significant improvement for this platform to regain trust. ### 1/5 — Terrible experience *2025-10-14, version 3.7.2* My experience with Nestaway Bangalore has been extremely disappointing and stressful. Within just two months of moving into the property, I was forced to vacate because the owner delisted the property. The owner had already informed Nestaway, yet Nestaway never communicated this to me. I kept asking for clarification while the owner was pressuring me to move out, and during this period I faced serious mental harassment and financial loss. There is no clause in their agreement protecting tenants in such situations — the owner keeps the property, and Nestaway keeps their full service fee (one month’s rent) even though I barely got to stay for two months and had to go through a traumatic experience. To make things worse, they deducted charges for house repairs that already existed before my move-in — despite me providing proof of this. They also deducted cleaning charges that were never mentioned before or in the signed agreement. Throughout this ordeal, the area manager stopped responding, and the support team was unhelpful, taking days to reply or not responding at all. Nestaway seems to prioritize deductions and fees over fair treatment of tenants, and it genuinely feels like a scam when tenants are left to bear all the losses with no accountability. Overall, this has been a highly unprofessional and distressing experience. I would strongly advise anyone in Bangalore considering Nestaway to think twice before trusting them with your money or peace of mind. ### 1/5 — Worst Experience *2025-08-23, version 3.7.2* They are the worst company ever. I moved into the house that had a cockroach issue and obviously I did not get to know about that issue becausr I visited during day and cockroaches were nocturnal. There were cockroaches on my bed and in my closet. They did not help me with cleaning at all. Since the house was not in liveable condition because of me not even being able to sleep in peace due to the cockroach issue, I shifted and they did not refund me a single penny from my Security Deposit. Please avoid this company, they are the worst and will squeeze every penny out of you. It was their duty to provide a clean home but they provided one with roaches and when I asked them to clean it, they charged extra for that. Shameless behaviour!! Ruined my stay, didnt refund a single penny and even had the audacity to charge me for a service which was their duty to provide. Please avoid them and never book a property with them ### 5/5 — Hassle-free Experience by Punit Kumar (Zonal Head at Nestaway) *2025-07-21, version 3.7.2* I’m based in the U.S., and managing property remotely isn’t easy without someone trustworthy — but thanks to Punit Kumar, Zonal Head at Nestaway, he ensured the entire process was handled flawlessly. He took complete ownership of my flat in Mira Road (Thane) — from police verification and document collection to tenant agreement and move-in coordination — all completed within the stipulated timeframe.
