A small daily check-in can make staying in touch easier. Nestria helps loved ones give and receive updates on iPhone and Apple Watch. GIVE AND RECEIVE Choose to check in, hear from loved ones, or do both. Invite trusted people through iCloud; each person uses their own Apple Account. Accept an invitation to see that person's check-ins. A CLEAR DAILY ROUTINE • Check in with a tap on iPhone or Apple Watch. • See connected people's daily status and recent check-in history. • Set an expected time and a grace period before a missing check-in reminder. • See when a check-in is saved locally and still waiting to upload. • Manage who can see your check-ins. Check-ins, family views, basic reminders and the Watch complication are free. Optional Nestria Pro adds weekday timing adjustments and a second reminder. SHARING AND NOTIFICATIONS Family sharing requires iCloud and an accepted invitation. Updates need a connection. Notifications depend on device permissions, settings and connectivity; delivery is not guaranteed. A saved check-in does not confirm that another person has read it. The question appears on the family screen, never on the check-in screen. That screen is one large button with no streaks, no points and nothing to celebrate, and a pop-up does not belong there. It also appears only on a day when news has arrived, after news has arrived on at least five days in the past month. On a day with no news yet, it stays quiet: that is the moment a family worries, and worry is not something to sell against. Nothing else changed. ### 1.6 — 2026-09-19 Nestria could crash at launch on some devices before the first screen appeared. The cause was a single call made while the app was still setting up: it asked for the iCloud container before the app knew whether iCloud was available, and that is not a question that can be asked early. It now asks at the moment it needs the answer, and an unavailable container is handled as a state rather than a stop. If Nestria closed on you immediately after tapping the icon, this is the version that fixes it. Nothing you had saved was lost — check-ins live on your device and in your own iCloud. ### 1.5 — 2026-09-08 • Give and receive check-ins in one app, with separate tabs for your check-in and your loved ones. • Clearer invitations between different iCloud accounts. • Better notification setup checks and retry for pending uploads. • Local and Watch check-ins stay separate from other people's records. ### 1.4 — 2026-09-03 When they tap, your phone now hears it even while Nestria is closed — so the “no word today” notice is cancelled the moment word arrives, instead of waiting for you to open the app. Their phone now reminds them each day, gently, with an “I’m okay” button right on the lock screen. If you live in a different time zone, the notice now follows their day, not yours. ### 1.3 — 2026-08-31 The family screen now shows, in one calm line, how far ahead the quiet "no word today" notice stands — you never have to take it on faith.
