I love the idea and the website seems to work better but the app has been a bit of a let down. I am hoping these bugs get resolved soon 😭 ### 2/5 — SMS is terrible *2025-03-19* The phone functionality works but SMS messaging is garbage. You can’t see replies until you swipe the app away and reload it causing you to miss them. I’ve used this app for a total of 3 hours and it already has had issues transferring and now phone calls cannot be answered. If I wasn’t using it for work, I wouldn’t be using this app anymore. **Developer response:** Please update to our newest version 4.0. You will find a lot more features and enhancements. I am paying for a service that doesn’t work on the back end . I have hung up on more people than I care to admit. App is awful, features are clunky, not recommended ### 1/5 — A non starter *2023-08-16* Net2phone has two problems that are a deal killer. First, if you have it on your work phone and your personal phone, when you login on one device, it logs you out of the other phone. Calls ring through and when you try picking them up nothing happens it keeps ringing. Open the app and try to tap on ANYTHING and it’s instantly frozen. Older version was better. That’s this app. Calls disconnect constantly after 10-15 seconds. This occurs regardless of if you are on a WiFi network or using your phone plan. God forbid you happen to get a phone call while already using this app, as seemingly every feature stops working until that call stops ringing; although that doesn’t matter much since the call was going to drop anyway. I will concede that the developers are working hard to fix these issues- For example, they changed the app’s picture, which was a huge quality of life improvement. If you read this, consider using a messenger pigeon, or smoke-signals for your communications instead. ### 1/5 — LAG!!! Doesn’t work *2025-11-07, version 4.4.3* When trying to take a call it lags so much that by the time it connects to the call, the person’s already hung up. ### 1/5 — Contacts Completely Broken After Update *2025-08-14* Since the update there is no way to just view the contacts I saved to my net to phone account. I can either view every single one of my personal contacts, every number in the company, and every number ever shared with my organization. It is impossible to find anything and the app won’t even let me block personal contacts from the work app in order to manually filter it down. They literally broke one of the main functions of this app. ### 1/5 — Buggy *2024-12-18, version 4.0.1* Currently has a glitch where when I listen to phone voicemails, it will not allow me to listen to it on speaker. Absolutely maddening issue that makes using it torture. Please fix. ### 1/5 — Can’t log in *2024-09-09* It won’t let me get past the login stage. ### 1/5 — Painfully Loud When Dialing *2024-04-03* My organization recently had us start using this app for work calls and overall, it's a decent app. Except whenever you dial numbers, each button makes a very loud and stereotypically obnoxious beep - like dialing on an older landline. There is no way to turn this sound off. Silencing the phone makes no difference and the button sound will often stick in between numbers which produces a longer, drawn out beep. The only thing you can do is lower your volume completely anytime you need to make a call and then turn it back up after you start the call. It's inconvenient and time consuming at best. I have to use headphones to make calls for work and can't always just turn the volume down. I can only make calls in smaller bursts because of the ear aches and increased anxiety caused by this shrill and otherwise useless feature. It is so bad that I literally took a break from making calls to come here and write this review. If you need to use headphones, don't want to take extra steps anytime you make a call, have anxiety, or are prone to headaches and ear aches steer clear. Update: randomly when I answer calls, the app will just decide to log me out of the app a few words in, hang up on the caller, and then force me to log back into the app before I can even attempt to call them back - and half the time, the calls don’t actually go through. They just ring to nowhere ### 1/5 — RUN!!! *2024-01-16* Horrible phone service and even worse customer service.
