Seems very high drain. ### 2/5 — Unreliable *2026-04-17, version 0.1.5* App and VPN setting in iPhone says connected but unable to access any services routed through NetBird randomly, on iPhone 13 ProbMax, iPhone 14, and iPhone 16 pro max. My entire internal infrastructure and dns configurations are mainly ipv6 with no real management over ipv4 except for dual stack for external access. If I were to use netbird in its current state then I’d have to work backwards and configure ipv4 statics and reservations for my servers and dns which Im not too keen on doing so I’ll have to pass for now. I’ll revisit it whenever ipv6 is supported. ### 4/5 — Quality of life features Missing *2025-10-18, version 0.0.11* I love your service, it works really well. I just wish for an implementation of VPN on Demand and it would be perfect ### 3/5 — Unreliable *2025-10-12, version 0.0.10* The function called “VPN on demand” not implemented, which makes it way less efficient battery wise then tailscale. It also keeps disconnecting. People have been asking for this for a longtime on github. Seems like the IOS stuck in beta. Die normale wireguard app kann mehr. Es wäre toll wenn es ein wenig Entwicklung hier geben würde und man auch wie bei Wireguard vertrauenswürdige Wlans definieren kann damit ein automatischer connect oder disconnect passiert. The UI feels like it hasn’t been properly thought about, one example is that the app does not load in the correct orientation when using an ipad in landscape mode (e.g on a keyboard / dock) - this should be a straightforward fix that would make the user experience so much easier. ### 4/5 — Updates *2025-05-04, version 0.0.9* The only thing preventing me from a five-star rating is the pace of the mobile updates. I wish they would update it more frequently. ### 4/5 — A Good Start *2025-03-25* As of now, custom DNS servers behind peer relays are not resolving. If you rely on local DNS resolution for internal services your out of luck. Another annoyance is the lack of any logs for the wiregaurd connection making it basically impossible to troubleshoot if the connection isn’t working for whatever reason. All in all a good start as the basic functionality is working for peer to peer connections UPDATE: 3/25/25 Custom DNS is functional, albeit not 100% of the time. I often have to disconnect and reconnect for resolution to continue or start working. Sometimes resolution won't work at all for a few minutes after first connecting. Can’t actually connect to anything. Please fix this bug and I’ll change my rating ### 1/5 — Glass look 🤢🤢🤢 *2026-03-02, version 0.1.1* They’ve just made me actively not want to use this app, no VPN on demand and now full of the worst UI in decades. ### 1/5 — Don’t work DNS *2026-02-18* The site's DNS doesn't work, it just won't open. I have clients on Android, Linux, Windows, Macos but this problem is only on iOS VPN just doesn’t work ### 1/5 — Still no VPN on demand *2025-12-16, version 0.0.13* I’m writing this at the point of stopping using NetBird because there is still no VPN on demand feature and, to my knowledge, proper fixes for the battery drain issues. It’s a shame because the NetBird service is fantastic but without decent mobile client support in 2025 it’s not viable. For a service like this to work and be of use, a company needs to support (and support well) as many client devices as possible and this just isn’t happening at present. I may revisit in the future if this changes. ### 1/5 — Constant issues and frequently out of date *2025-11-28* The single least reliable application I have had the displeasure of using Will consistently disconnect in the background, crash, hang, generally unpleasant and bad. If you don’t turn on lazy connections you get terrible battery issues, if you do you get disconnected after your phone is off for more than 15 minutes and routes will just sometimes not work when reconnecting. They do not keep the runtime version up to date and is consistently well behind all other platforms. Sometimes I wonder if it’s completely unmaintained. ### 1/5 — Unoptimized *2025-09-22* third class level ui design and power hungry ### 1/5 — Ugh *2025-04-11* I swear to God in the worst way at the worst moments when I remember to check this app is off not connected and leaving me vulnerable what’s the point!!! ### 1/5 — Annoying *2025-02-07, version 0.0.9* It is even with the latest release very annoying, when the connection is going somehow in a dormand state just when the phone is locked for round about 2 minutes. The connection will not automatically come back when phone is unlocked. ### 1/5 — Connected but no internet *2025-01-28, version 0.0.8* I can connect to netbird but then I am unable to establish a regular internet connection. It’s just not working. Did de- and reinstall the app but no luck. Danke ### 5/5 — Best VPN out there *2025-03-07* Self hosting both management server and all of my family devices and it works flawlessly, DNS queries sometimes leak through during startup which caches wrong resolution on mac client but its not a big issue. ### 5/5 — Exceptional until *2025-02-13, version 0.0.9* Works great until you travel to another country (within EU) then it neither works on wifi nor on 4g/5g, based on that I assume it is not isolated to just a single “difficult” network. Looks as if all the peers were connected but no ping , no connection, i am sure it will be fixed soon.
