Had to re-add servers. Otherwise has a nice interface. ### 3/5 — Not bad but some improvements to be made *2017-06-11* Not a bad app / NVR, loads fairly quick which is what my old system was bad at. I would like to automatically be logged into the server though rather than having the click on connect every time I open the app. It would also be nice if a user that only had access to the live view was not able to see the tabs for the Admin and library parts of the app. ### 3/5 — Shows promise but needs work *2014-04-27, version 2.4.0* This beta shows promise. It's lacking in one critical function: You cannot use your fingers to make the image larger as it is a static size. This pretty much kills it's functionality as objects in your webcam image on an iPhone are hard to see unless they are large and close to the camera. Hoping that'll be fixed soon in a future update. ### 4/5 — Good App - great app with a few improvements *2016-06-28* The app is great however lacks a couple of great features from other similar apps that would make it really great: - The library playback can be slow and laggy which could be helped by adding some sort of compression to the sending of data from the server. I notice that even with 3 cameras and quality settings set quite low it maxes out a 15mb upload connection. - The ability to scroll through a bar with date and time and see motion that has been recorded with the ability to select that alert and play the recorded clip. - Being able to log straight in without clicking connect on the servers screen when opening the app. ### 4/5 — Nice! *2014-11-19, version 3.0.0* Works well, but needs an update to properly display it's icon on an iPhone 6 Plus. ## Most praised reviews (5 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Nice! *2019-03-14, version 4.5.0* I’ve spent days trying to get my rtsp cameras transcoded to an HTML video format using VLC/ogg viewable on today’s browsers. I could get them working, but the cpu overhead on the sever for 8 cameras was unacceptable, and the quality just wasn’t quite good enough. The NetCam server solved this for a very reasonable price, supporting 16 cameras for under 80 bucks utilizing about 10% cpu overhead running as a service. This mobile app is the icing on the cake, providing quality views of my cameras in a fast, responsive manner. The server also supports SSL, icing on the icing on the cake. After simple setup on my pc i could login to check recordings stright away from my iPhone and iPad. To get it to work from internet I only forwarded 2 TCP ports on my router to the pc with Netcam Studio and it just worked. This is what I have been looking for and I have tested alot of netcam software out there. it supports all usb cameras and network kameras that are out there I think. If you want a quick easy solution for webcam surveillance or make a timelapse of a plant growing or winter to summer timelapse this can do it alland more. I like this program so much that I will make a tutorial on how you the best way, I know, can setup this fast and easy Look for Hamak's Quick Tutorials on Netcam Studio Community. ### 5/5 — Great app for monitoring remote cameras *2014-12-02, version 3.0.0* We utilize netcam studio to monitor our remote address. The iPhone/iPad app works very well to allow us to make a quick check on the status of that property.
