The Glass redesign removed it. (-_-)ゞ゛ Why remove the Stop button? Put it back ------------------- Look, I’m not going to dress it up. NNW is a good reader. It lacks features like filtering, but considering the alternatives you can’t beat it. ### 2/5 — Scrolling is broken *2026-06-20, version 7.0.6* Scrolling broke a few updates ago. You now open a feed and the article opens 50%+ in the article. Extremely annoying to the point that it's broken the app. I don't see any feature that is more important than fixing a broken reading experience for a reading app. Net news wire is an amazing 5 star app when the reading experience is working. 2 stars and not 1 because of that — conditional on this structural bug/feature of the app being fixed ### 4/5 — Love this app but *2026-06-15, version 7.0.6* I love this app! It works great for almost all of my feeds! However reddit RSS feeds are dying lately with 429 errors, and I wonder if it's the user agent? Might also just be reddit killing feeds, always an option. I don’t have them side by side to detail exactly what and how is worse, but it’s more confusing what is a button or list etc, but so is everything in iOS 26, so this is, as mentioned, likely mostly due to iOS itself being trash in iOS 26. Thanks! ### 4/5 — Amazing app but what has happened to the search in 7.0? *2026-02-15, version 7.0* My favourite app ever to exist however the search has completely fallen off with this 7.0 update. Previously I could search for anything and if the word was mentioned in the article, the article would come up. That no longer seems to be the case and I very much dislike it. Please revert to the old search. Many thanks for such an awesome app. ### 4/5 — 7.0 a downgrade *2026-02-12, version 7.0* While the app is pretty good, the 7.0 liquid glass update is a usability downgrade (not to mention generally uglier, but I guess that’s just an Apple problem). Lots of small things like: - updating text no longer has a progress bar and seems to get stuck, so no idea if it’s still updating or not - button to fetch the full article hard to tap/needs multiple taps; seems to be because tapping the liquid glass bubble around the icon doesn’t do anything, you have to actually tap on the icon within the button only (which is smaller than the button itself) - mark all as read no longer removes everything from the screen unless you refresh Hopefully these can be fixed in coming versions. ### 5/5 — The best once again *2026-02-10, version 7.0* This app has always been very fast and generally great, especially for the price. There were a few bugs that caused me to go back and forth between this and another app, but it seems those were worked out and this is the best once again. I also appreciate that it’s developed by one person solely because he wants to, and it’s open source. It syncs fine between iPhone and Mac. The iPad never updates the feeds. They have a tech help article that basically just blames apple for the problem. I’ve never had an app have synching issues like this before. I guess you get what you pay for. I dumped feedly for this but I may have to keep looking.
