The Nets ID Verifier app is a simple, fast and secure way to prove your identity online by using a passport (or similar ID document) and mobile device. ACTIVATION CODE (PIN or QR CODE) The app requires an activation code which should be presented to you from the company’s webpage that you need to log into for authentication or signing purposes. If you don’t have a valid activation code, please contact the company requesting you to use Nets ID Verifier. SCAN YOUR DOCUMENT AND TAKE A SELFIE The app will guide you through the identity verification process, with step by step instructions and visual animations. As a first step, you will digitally scan your passport (or similar ID document - such as driving license, or residence card) by using the camera on your mobile device. As a second step, you will take a selfie to validate that you are the same person as in the picture scanned from the document. Once a match is established, the app will automatically close or you will be asked to close the app. If an error occurs, you may have the possibility to restart your identity verification process. The eid.difi.no website says everywhere that you “press continue” on the Nets website to download the app. It’s really unclear which website to go to and there is no simple “continue” button on either the developer or the customer website - all the websites I could find look like sales websites anyway. But that isn’t this app’s fault. In any case, the user experience is pretty bad on this app even from the first step - I need to scan a QR code or enter a code even to activate the app! And I have no idea where to get this from. So lol, I can’t even get into the app to experience all the amazing bugs that the other reviews mentioned. I’m very confused about who is using this and if the Norwegian government is any idea that it is so hard - I bet no one actually uses it. ### 1/5 — Does not work at all. *2021-01-14* A really bad piece of software. In my desktop computer the Apple app store says the NETS app is unavailable in the U S. I can download however from the app store on my iphone 7. The app does not scan! Finally it worked with an iPhone SE 2. With an iPhone 6s Plus it didn‘t work. It was not possible to proceed to the next step, when I had choosen to continue with a passport/resident card.
