If you have ever stood on the side of a Netball court wondering what the score is, and how long left (or even which quarter we are in) then this is the App for you. It lets you keep track of the scores, shots and turnovers by period, by registering goals and missed shots with a single touch. You want to watch the match and not be distracted by having to record scores in a cumbersome way. On the other hand you want to see match statistics, what the shooting percentage was, and shooting rates for both GS and GA separately either during the match or at the end. Are you referring to changing a score during the match? Taken straight from the “About NetScore” section of the app. “If you incorrectly register a goal it can be removed by touching the Goal button then dragging your finger off the button before releasing.” Hopefully that makes sense. Happy to support the dev with a donation. Just has a couple of reporting features that need sorting. Emailing a results sheet doesn’t work in some menu’s, and when emailing a Results PDF, sometimes the data is corrupt. It needs to be linked with Adobe in order to read it. Also, the player performance totals lines, are corrupt in that numbers appear on top of one another somehow and can’t be read. Aside from that, the functionality is great. ### 3/5 — Centre pass *2020-06-06* Can you make it so you can choose the home or away team can have centre pass **Developer response:** Thanks for your comment. You can do this already by tapping the small 'switch' button (which is between the two scores on the main matchplay screen) either before a period start or at any time during matchplay. This will switch the centre pass between the two teams. If you do this before a period start, it will also switch the Evens/Odds indicator too. I hope this helps with your enjoyment of the app. ### 5/5 — Ability to edit *2019-07-07* Is there a way to edit the score? Occasionally I’ll add a goal that disallowed & I cant deduct it which is annoying. Otherwise great app **Developer response:** Thanks for your comment. There is a way to remove a goal scored in error. If you touch the GOAL button for the incorrect score, then slide your finger off it before releasing, this removes the goal recorded in error, and also removes it from the statistic for the GS/GA concerned. I hope this helps with your use of the App. ### 5/5 — Really useful app *2019-06-12, version 2.1.1* I umpire a lot of social games where you also need to score, carrying whistle plus phone with this app is a lot easier than whistle, score pad, pencil, stopwatch etc. One feature I’d love to add though is the option to vibrate/sound when a qtr ends - useful when running the sideline & only glancing at phone & timer when a goal is scored. ### 5/5 — Very useful! And ad-free! *2019-05-04* A simple but comprehensive app that does what it says. No ads, no forced sign-ups, just netball scoring! Our netball team loves it, and the girls now try to beat each other in goal shooting accuracy! ### 4/5 — Good *2019-03-15* Great little app for me as a coach to easily keep track of scores. However, I don’t like the layout for “shot” and “goal”. First the “goal” button is on the outside edge, so left on one side, right on the other. it would be better if it were the same, eg on the left. Secondly, “goal” and “ shoot” are same colour and same size, so its really easy to press the wrong one! Make them different colour and make “shot” smaller is my advice. Also, there doesn’t appear to be a way to adjust the score to deduct a goal if you make a mistake. **Developer response:** Thanks for your comment. There is a way to remove a goal scored in error. If you create a backup and there are already 10, the oldest backup will be removed. * Restore a backup by tapping the backup name. * Automatic daily backups can be enabled. Each time the app loads a backup will be made. During that day if a match is scored and completed the daily backup is updated. * The backup list shows which backups are "Auto" daily backups and which are manual created. * Follows industry standards in terms of correct error handling, support for multi versions, support for checksums, support for app updates and backup migrations. Fixed: Navigation bar icons not appearing. Added backwards compatibility for iOS 18. Fixed: Setting the number of periods to 8 causes a crash when loading players for the 8th period. Fixed: Setting the number of periods to 8 then having a tied match leading for 2 more periods causes the app to crash. Never Lose Your Scores Again * We fixed a critical issue where match data could be lost if the app crashed or your phone died during a game (and a few other situations). Now all your goals, shots, and substitutions are saved instantly. No more lost matches. This bug has been around for a while and only just reported recently. Easier Player Substitutions * Made player changes easier to confirm. No more changes disappearing when you scroll. * Fixed the confirm button so it works properly during period breaks. * Added clear position labels (GK, GD, C, etc.) next to each player so you always know who is playing where. * Fixed a layout issue where the bottom players and Confirm button were getting cut off on some phones. Better Text Fields * Fixed a bug where text fields would change to weird colours when you tapped them to edit. Now they stay nice and readable at all themes. Player Stats Now Update Properly *Your Player Centre statistics now refresh correctly when you create new matches. No more showing zero matches when you have actually been busy scoring. Bug Fixes - Fixed player dropdown sometimes appearing underneath other buttons. - Various other small improvements to make your scoring experience smoother. Big Fix: A long standing bug from 2018 with the Odds and Evens not swapping correctly. Thanks to Miss Robyn for the review and bringing this to my attention! Note: The existing little "swap" button between the scores allows you to manually swap the centre pass as well. It's hard to believe, but NetScore was created back before iOS had many of the built in Navigation UI elements that it does now.
