I've edited the server list on my MacBook Pro but I'll be damned if I can work out how to do it for my iPhone. I'd figure it out from the User Manual but for the fact there isn't one and the online Help offers no clues. It's frustrating as Netshade is excellent when the server you want is up and running. ### 2/5 — Waste of money *2024-03-04* VPN for UK often not available ### 3/5 — Works well but sometimes servers are unavailable *2023-10-19* I got this app mainly to get access to servers in the UK, Germany, France and Canada. UK servers become unavailable at least once a week and it is inconvenient when they are unavailable. Other than that the app works well. Complete frustration. ### 2/5 — Extremely Limited Server Choices *2021-10-06* I could be wrong about this and I hope that I am corrected. Rayner Software’s NetShade app seems to have an extremely limited list of servers to choose from. Only one has IPv6. Oftentimes some servers listed won’t even connect. I have used them for some time but I’m not sure I will renew my yearly subscription again. The app works but as I said, the server choices are extremely slim pickins. Thanks for destroying the app ### 2/5 — Stability problems in new version *2020-01-05* I’m having problems with version 8 in iOS maintaining connections compared with previous versions. VPN connections (at least to uk servers) are dropping every 20-30 minutes, and a manual reconnection is needed. Very disruptive for streaming server use. ### 2/5 — Pretty poor *2019-01-20* This app hasn’t been updated for 3 years! That says to the world that the company that makes this no longer has any interest in it. Not only does this app lose the VPN connection every time you switch the display off for more than 2 minutes, leaving your IP address exposed when you next use the device - which easily goes unspotted - but now there’s only one UK server left, and I can’t access that via the iOS app! Absolutely the worst of all VPNs I’ve had a go on, certainly wouldn’t pay their full rate for it. Thankfully a software bundle got this user a 2-year subscription very cheap, but with the obvious neglect going on re app and servers I doubt whether NetShade will exist in 6 months, let alone 2 years. I have never ever gotten a reply or a response from their technical support! Right now it’s not working on one of my phones saying that a certificate expired! I tried troubleshooting it but no luck! I sent three emails, used their website form, but nothing and no response! {{{I will not renew again.... I’ve spend 90 minutes on my iPad trying to do this but no dice. ### 1/5 — Frustrated *2026-07-09* Had this VPN over 5 years and all of a sudden says expired. It works 99% perfectly and enables my computer to be "seen" as if it were in the USA so that I can access some sites that are region sensitive. That makes it easier to safely exchange my data with clients. The VPN picks the most available link, but I really like being able to adjust and move connections to another site and keep from always landing in the same country on a business trip.
