If this company ever sends you a card in the mail just throw it away. They are requesting I send them my SSN over email, which is unsafe and unencrypted... Extremely unprofessional. Crazy I'm having such a hard time withdrawing the only $42 in my account because I wanted to give them a chance and now they refuse to give me my money because my account isn't "fully verified." Which doesn't make sense, because why would you allow a deposit to be made then? The fee was still charged. ### 1/5 — Do not get this app *2025-08-14, version 2.0.4* As soon as I put some money on here it all of sudden couldn’t verify my identity it was working perfectly fine before I put money on there ### 1/5 — Overdraft protection gone wrong/ hard to reach customer service *2025-08-11, version 2.0.4* I’ve been wit Netspend for a while so i wasn’t even sure about the overdraft protection because I put everything in my savings and when I know I’m finna spend I transfer. So there was an unauthorized charge from Amazon for $11.99 that was over the overdraft limit which is $10. So now my account was negative $31.43 but Amazon later that day because they were notified by me that that charge wasn’t authorized, issued a refund for 11.99. But my account was still charged for the overdraft which left the account $19.44 overdrawn. So I contacted a call representative which was hard to understand and he was hard at understanding English, which was really hard for me because I already was waiting on hold for 30min. ### 1/5 — Horrible App *2025-08-11, version 2.0.4* I am not able to look at different tabs or transfer money. The app had problems with activation of my card, called customer service to help me since the problem is on their end. The representative I talked to was very rude and kept cutting me off while I was speaking. He also made it sound like I couldn’t understand simple instructions. I kept telling him that the app is not working properly, but he just kept on insisting that I probably was doing something wrong. In the end, problem was never resolved. The new update is absolutely wonderful, and even more convenient and way better. Now, I can add a virtual card on my own if I accidentally delete it, or if I need to replace my card. The new app design is well-organized, and well thought out which is super nice! All we need now is a secured credit card option, and mobile check deposit option and we will be golden - hopefully those features will come soon. I still have my local bank due to the lack of features like the mobile check deposit but Netspend is such a good option!
