I have no more data on my iPad because of all the old and saved newspapers and magazines. Please make it easier to delete them. ### 2/5 — Poor feedback *2025-03-30, version 4.60.2025031109* Netwerk24 does not respond to emails or acknowledge suggestions for improvements, which gives the impression that the news agency does not genuinely value reader feedback. I am really close to rather start searching for other alternatives. ### 3/5 — Greatly improved app, terrible at notifications *2024-02-27, version 4.45.2024022009* The navigation in the app has improved from the frustrating older versions, but app push notifications are still broken. I receive ALL notifications even though certain types of notifications are turned off in the app settings. Gave feedback through the app and the customer care consultant told me first that they’ll unsubscribe me from all emails, and then re-explaining my problem told me how to turn off ALL notifications on my phone. Gave up. Will see how long I can stand the constant feed of push notifications of stories I don’t care about before I unsubscribe. ### 3/5 — Yes for news no for ads *2023-12-14, version 4.43.2023120610* I love the news articles but the way adverts just open in my browser when I scroll down is extremely irritating ### 2/5 — Frustrating *2023-05-28, version 4.32.2023051114* App crashes every few months and does not allow me to sign-in, no matter what. (You want me to call a call centre to troubleshoot an app???) Only way to resolve is to cancel subscription and delete app. Content often have typos and bad language construction. Your comments on news are often only placed the next day making it irrelevant. If a comment is not placed due to the comments policy no feedback is given as to how you have breached the policy. Contains a high number of adverts and sponsered content for a relative expensive subscription news app. New news is often placed in the feed at the bottom, forcing you to keep on scrolling. App does not (like other international news apps) limit the landing page to a set number of reports, forcing you to scroll into ‘old’ news. This means you spend a lot of wasted time on this app looking for new news. ### 2/5 — New upgraded Netwerk 24 *2021-10-30, version 4.12.1415* Since the new upgraded Version I have experiencing endless problems where I am unable to get and read the newest paper. The only thing that works is if I delete the app and reinstall it EVERYTIME!!!!! Ek wil nie langer so sukkel nie! ### 2/5 — Sorry but cannot take the ads anymore *2021-08-25, version 3.8.8* Understand that ads are important for income and to pay the people who work for you. However, many people have complained about the obtrusive nature and nothing is done about it. The ads are as large as the content and too sensitive, leading to the browser opening without the intention on every reading occasion. Come on guys! You cannot even scroll away from it... Don't mind the 'odd' ad here and there, but this takes it too far. Will definitely consider cancelling if this carries on. ### 2/5 — Blank screen *2021-01-20* Most of the articles I click on just show up as a blank screen. The previous version of Netwerk 24 worked well in my Apple 4 IPad. I then downloaded the latest version but now can not get it to open. The app starts with the Netwerk 24 screen and then goes back straight to the home screen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled again but the results are the same. According to the app write up the software is adaptable to iPad 4 of software. I can't seem to reload the older version and I now have to read the news via the website which is a sleb. ### 2/5 — Not up to standard *2021-01-11* Most of the time the menu doesn’t open; it’s just blank. Tried to log it with the developer, but that link takes you only to the app where there’s no option to log a fault. Received a reply from the developer with instructions to log a call through the option on the hamburger menu, but it’s the hamburger menu that doesn’t load. It’s just blank! Tog begryp ek nie waarom daarna boonop “Google Ad Service” advertensies noodsaaklik is wanneer ‘n mens ‘n ingeteken en betaal het nie? Ten opsigte van die gebruik, het die app het ‘n paar lastige punte. Soms is die artikels te raaksensitief en artikels open terwyl ‘n mens na onder beweeg. Intussen het die bywerkings hierdie probleem egter verbeter. Daar is ook dat die verbinding tussen die gekose artikel en inhoud verkeerdelik verbind, bv. ‘n mens druk op die koronastatistiek, maar word na die Amerikaanse verkiesing herlei. Die verbinding tussen die artikels en titels is dikwels traag, d.w.s. ‘n mens kies ‘n artikel, maar die inhoud neem lank om te open/laai. Daar blyk ook ‘n slegte verbinding tussen die gebruikersdatabank en app te wees omdat my rekening in die aanmeldingsproses nie altyd slaag nie en “hang”. Die app meld ook dikwels vanself af. Daardeur dat hierdie ‘n betaal-app is, het ‘n mens dikwels hoë verwagtings en sedert die volle iOS-ondersteuning van die donkermodus, benut die app hierdie funksie nog nie. **Developer response:** Beste Biggs_ZA, Dankie vir jou terugvoering. I was SO surprised - at the both - the App’s ambiguous working, as well as the lack of knowledge when trying to get service support to sort things out. I kept the app on my phone to show other people how an app / service should NOT work. Even kept the subscription up to date for a while - just to demo to my colleagues how NOT to build a service. Really dissapointed. The app and the help functions are really poor, why is there no sign in only a sign up. So frustrated. Perhaps one of the easiest changes to make in an iOS or iPadOS app, the lack of making the reading experience better for people that prefer to use dark mode, is simply not logical. Bearing in mind, that these readers are paying a monthly subscription to access the content… and the developers can’t be bothered to offer dark mode. I have even asked the developers via the support link when they were going to introduce dark mode, and the response I received was that it wasn’t even on the dev backlog. So only 1 star, until you introduce a more comfortable reading option with dark mode. ### 1/5 — Unable to read my mags *2022-12-20, version 4.27.2022121212* I have deleted the app and reinstalled it, I have deleted my cookies and cleared my cache.....to no avail....I am still unable to open any of my paid for subscriptions, although my debit order goes off VERY timeously on your side every month. I wonder..... ### 1/5 — Pathetic compared to previous version *2021-12-12, version 4.12.1713* This is the worst effort of an app I have experienced, and that for a massive media company!🤬 On the iPhone 11 if you click on the picture enlarge, it opens a picture exactly the same size as the original. Pinching and expanding function is disabled. No details of pictures can be seen other that taking a screenshot and opening it in pics. Also blank screens if you want to read a particular article. Reported it but after 4 days not corrected. Simply told it is with technical staff. Met geluk kan jy toegang tot sekere van hierdie berigte kry indien jy deur die artikels ‘blaai’ van voor af. Ongeveer helfte, indien nie meer nie, van die berigte reageer so. Het ondersteuning gekontak sonder enige terugvoer. Nie die maandelikse koste werd nie. Verskeie van my vriende en familie deel dieselfde frustrasie. Now forced to read the the magazines and newspapers on Netwerk24 and very disappointed. I've upgraded Netwerk24 on May 22 and since have no access to Netwerk24. As, for years now a paying subscriber to Netwerk24, contacted Netwerk24 but it was unsuccessful. It is a big frustration as it is lockdown level 4 and nothing to read! Tydskrifte en koerante is so maklik om te lees. Op mySubs was dit net makliker met die aflaai opsie, dan hoe jy nie heeltyd op wifi of data te wees nie.
