## What is NeuraCache?

Boost Your Memory with NeuraCache

Unlock the power of Spaced Repetition and Active Recall to remember more of what you read, watch, and study. NeuraCache turns your notes into flashcards and brings them back at exactly the right moment — and if you don't use a note app, you can create cards right inside NeuraCache.

Supported Integrations:

   • Notion
   • Kindle
   • Obsidian
   • Markdown
   • Evernote
   • Logseq
   • Bear
   • CSV
   • Roam Research
   • and many more via markdown (e.g. Craft)

Why NeuraCache?

Ever finish a book or a course only to forget the details weeks later? NeuraCache works with your brain's natural memory systems so the things you learn actually stick. Whatever you read, watch, or study stays with you for the long term.

Turn Kindle Highlights into Flashcards

Sync your Amazon Kindle highlights and every book becomes a deck — covers, authors, and your margin notes included. Pick individual books or your whole library, and re-sync anytime to pull in new highlights. With Premium, each highlight can appear as a beautiful quote card colored by its book's cover. Syncing runs through a Safari extension that can only read your Kindle notebook page: your Amazon password never touches NeuraCache, and your highlights stay on your device.

How It Works

NeuraCache combines two proven techniques: Spaced Repetition and Active Recall. Cards are extracted from your notes, and intelligent scheduling decides when each one returns — whether that's later the same day or months in the future. Prefer to drive yourself? Review anytime from the Decks tab.

For the strongest results, write Active Recall questions and challenge yourself before revealing the card content.

See Your Memory

Every card shows a forgetting curve, so you can see exactly how your memory fades and when each card is due. A redesigned dashboard tracks your memory score, review streak, activity heatmap, and a daily forecast — and Home Screen widgets keep your next cards one glance away.

On All Your Devices

NeuraCache is built for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, with your cards kept in sync through iCloud. Review on the go, study at your desk — your deck is always up to date.

Your Privacy Matters

No sign-up required — just install and start learning instantly. Your notes stay private: kept on your device and synced only through your own private iCloud. We never access or analyze their content.

### 5/5 — Best long term memory app !!!!

*2026-01-31, version 2.28.3*

Such a great app for learning AND retaining info. It’s great!!!

### 1/5 — I dont see obsidian integration

*2026-01-27, version 2.28.3*

sadly cant use 😔

### 5/5 — The Best

*2026-01-10, version 2.28.3*

Probably the best flashcard app right now in the market.

### 4/5 — Structure of the folders

*2025-12-29, version 2.28.3*

Hi, i found the App via ChatGPT today.
I was looking for an App with Flashcards which can be connected to OneNote, and I think I found one 👍🏼.

What I don‘t like so far is the structure of the folders in the „card‘s“ menu. In OneNote I use the pages and underpages a lot, but the app ignores them and shows every page and underpage at once. I would like to have the same structure as in OneNote.

All in all a Great App so far.
I hope that you will continue your work on the app in the future.

### 5/5 — 10/10 with Obsidian

*2025-10-06, version 2.28.3*

Pairs beautifully with Obsidian—instead of rewriting flash cards elsewhere, a quick #flashcard and a few —- and my note turns into a flash card for NeuraCache. This saves a ton of time and makes studying far easier.

### 5/5 — Most perfect flash card app ever

*2025-07-31*

I’m a commercial pilot and flight instructor who has tried every single flash card app available (paid and unpaid) and NeurCache is so much better then then competition it’s not even fair… use the other apps if you want to do it the hard way, I’ll be on NeuraCache	- I left this^ review almost a year ago, and I am still using and loving NeuraCache, it is the best

**Developer response:** Thank you for your kind words 🙏❤️

### 5/5 — amazing app

### 5/5 — AMAZING app!!!

*2025-03-16, version 2.28.3*

NeuraCache integrates smoothly with Notion and has really streamlined my workflow. It’s going to save me many hours this year! Support is great too. Wish I had found this several years ago! Highly recommend this to any fellow med students!

### 5/5 — Works perfectly for active recall of my Obsidian notes

*2025-01-02, version 2.28.2*

I had already created a lot of markdown notes in Obsidian. NeuraCache allows me to import them and turn them seamlessly into flashcards that I can use for active recall and procedural training that I need as a pilots, without much extra work. It also renders my LaTeX formulas. Simply awesome! I had taken other apps like Anki cards into consideration but NeuraCache seemed to be the solution with least extra work on my side for using my existing notes. Also I am very thankful for the developer responding to a request and adding a functionality to change the font size of my flashcards some time ago.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.2.0 — 2026-08-22

- Kindle highlights are here — sync your Amazon Kindle highlights and every book becomes a deck of cards, complete with cover art and authors.
- Pick individual books or grab your whole library, and re-sync anytime to pull in new highlights.
- Visual quote cards (Premium): review each highlight as a beautiful quote card colored by its book's cover. Pick your style in Settings > Review > Kindle Highlights.
- Private by design: syncing runs through a Safari extension that can only read your Kindle notebook page. Your Amazon password never touches NeuraCache, and your highlights stay on your device.
- Notion sync fixed: if Notion recently started calling your token invalid, this update reconnects you — no new token needed.
- The Sources screen breathes better: source icons flow onto two rows and tuck away as you scroll.

### 3.1.3 — 2026-08-17

- Reviews now pick up where you left off — if iOS quits the app while you're in another one mid-session, relaunching drops you right back on the same card.
- Duplicate cards created by iCloud sync now merge themselves — review history, favorites, and notes combined, nothing lost.
- The Decks memory filter now applies to the review itself — "Review 12 Cards" reviews exactly those 12.
- AND/OR deck filtering is back (Decks → Filter): AND narrows to cards that are in every selected deck.
- ==Highlights== wrapped around bold or italic text now render properly (Obsidian and Roam).
- Decks, Cards, and Search are much faster with large libraries.
- Search now ignores accents — typing "Ubung" finds "Übung".

### 3.1.2 — 2026-08-06

- Select and copy card text again — long-press to select exactly what you need, or use Copy Text in the card menu to grab the whole card.
- Choose your review order: Random, Newest, Oldest, or Least Remembered First — and cards from the same note no longer come up back-to-back.
- Fixed older flashcards (created before 3.0) showing their answer right away instead of asking the question first.
- CSV import and export rebuilt: quotes, multi-line answers, and Excel/Windows files now import correctly with live progress — re-importing your own export also repairs cards a previous import got wrong.
- Roam Research cards render properly again — highlights, italics, embedded blocks, and line breaks — and imports show progress and tell you what was added or updated.
- Obsidian ==highlights== now render as real highlights.
- Fixed AI replies occasionally losing their last flashcard or stopping mid-sentence — most noticeable with German and other accented text.
- Decks: setting priority or review strategy for many cards at once now works every time (with the full 1–5 range), and you can bulk "Ignore in Today's Queue".
- Search results got a cleaner look, and the search box is back on iPad.
- Evernote: "Show Observed Tags Only" is back — keep tags you haven't selected out of Cards and Decks.
- Long inline math now wraps onto the next line instead of running off the card.
- The 7-day forecast's Today bar now counts down as you review and reads 0 when you're done.

### 3.1.1 — 2026-07-24

- Evernote sync is dramatically faster — after the first sync, we fetch only what changed instead of re-scanning every notebook.
- Large Evernote notebooks now sync completely — notebooks with more than 500 notes were silently cut short.
- The app stays smooth while a big sync or iCloud transfer runs — no more freezes mid-review or mid-scroll.
- Big decks open instantly and scroll smoothly, even with thousands of cards.
- Answering feels instant: cards slide in cleanly, Evernote cards render without a pause, and taps respond immediately.
- The sync status sheet now explains when a large iCloud sync just needs more time.
- Polish: brighter tag chips, Evernote decks in Evernote green, a new review loading animation, and a steadier tutorial.

### 3.1.0 — 2026-07-19

Meet your AI study partner — NeuraCache 3.1.0
- AI Assistant — chat to turn any topic or your pasted notes into ready-to-study flashcards, complete with suggested tags and decks. Works on every device.
- Ask about any card — get a clearer explanation, more examples, or a quick "is this actually correct?" check right while you review.
- Card notes — keep your own notes on any card, save AI answers as notes, and have the assistant rewrite a card with your notes in mind.
- NeuraCache is now on the Mac — your cards, decks, and reviews, synced over iCloud. One subscription covers iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
- Fixed device-to-device iCloud sync — cards and streaks created on one device now reliably reach your others.
- Multiline LaTeX ($$ … $$) now renders as proper display math — Obsidian users, this one's for you.
- Decks: select several and delete all their cards in one go.
- Plus many small fixes and performance improvements.
- Big Evernote libraries run dramatically better — the home screen appears instantly, cards advance without waiting on the network, and images no longer vanish from cards.
- Coming from v2? The new "Only import my progress" option attaches your old review schedules, history, and streaks to cards you've already re-synced — without duplicating them.
