### 4/5 — I like the app, but needs updated.

*2022-03-09*

The app is straightforward and easy to use and navigate. Only problem is that it hasn’t been updated in a while. Last update was in 2019. The NIHSS needs to be updated to include the addition of the right and left distal motor function. The results can be up to 4 points different depending on if you are using the old scale or the new scale. I stopped recommending this app until the scale gets updated.

### 4/5 — Disappointed with upgrade to PDFs

*2021-04-21, version 3.80*

Just upgraded to iPhone 12 & again having problems emailing out the results of UPDRS results. Error message saying I have not entered patient details. But crash happens before chance to add patient details.

Old review- Handy App for the wards with ability to email. The app used to email text now it emails pdf files. Unfortunately these are unreadable or incomplete at least in the UPDRS section I use most frequently. Please go back to the old version or fix this problem. Rob

Useful App but since recent upgrade August 2019 it has been crashing when I try to email results out. I have been forced to take screen shot to photos to save report scores.
UPDRS should be kept in this app even when the MDS-UPDRS is added as the latter is owned by the MDS and each time use a fee potentially applies. Rob

### 4/5 — Aphasia images gone

*2017-01-04*

I'm an Emergency physician and have used this program for over a year. I especially like the NIHSS, makes quick testing so easy. The latest update however no longer has aphasia images. When I go to screen it's blank. I'm on IOS 10.2. I've erased and reinstalled. Please fix this bug! Thanks.
Alex

### 4/5 — Helpful, could use a couple more tools

*2014-11-07*

As an Emergency Physician, I frequently use the neuro toolkit, particularly the NIH Stroke Scale. I would love to see more head injury-related material, especially the New Orleans Criteria and Canadian CT rules--combined or separately.

### 4/5 — Nice app but needs tuning

*2012-06-11, version 2.60*

Nice app but needs tuning (e.g. Cookie theft picture to Ax language fluency in CVA is loaded sideways). Hope these and other little adjustments are made. Good general use.

### 5/5 — screen navigation problems fixed

*2012-06-07*

It is very helpful to have so many scales in one place. Well laid out. I haven't found any similar apps which are this comprehensive.. The new version fixes the back button on the TIA/Stroke /SAH scale page. Highly recommended.

### 3/5 — Nice

*2011-09-05, version 2.3*

Nice collection.
The dysarthria word list link does not work.

### 5/5 — Muito bom

*2011-08-27, version 2.3*

Aplicativo excelente. Vale a pena.

### 5/5 — Neuro App

*2011-08-12*

Works well. Moves between screens with a swipe of your finger at the top of the page. It is simple, to the point, and quick to load!

### 5/5 — Great app for the neurologist!

*2011-06-19*

I'm a board certified neurologist, and I use this app daily in my clinical practice. I downloaded it primarily for the NIH stroke scale, it has come in handy in multiple other occasions. The NIH Stroke Scale is well done and has the instructions for each item available without losing your place. Can't remember if the patient with flaccid hemiplegia gets ataxia points? It's right there. When you finish, the score can be emailed to you, so I never actually write it down. Works perfectly. It includes the aphasia cards as well (cookie jar and glove/hammock)
The app has steadily improved and they continue to add new formulas and outcome scores.
I would like a phenytoin correction for ARF and low serum albumin in the future.
This is the best neurology app available!

### 5/5 — Wonderful tool!

*2011-05-25*

Thank you for this wonderful tool. It makes a residents life much easier!

### 5/5 — Fantastic and helpful

*2010-07-17, version 0*

Very useful on the wards and in the emergency department.

### 1/5 — Tuning Fork

*2018-09-15*

Why isn’t the tuning fork working?

### 1/5 — OMG!!!

*2011-11-21*

This could be a useful albeit simple app. However, there are missing back buttons in crucial areas. I accessed the stroke scales menu and then couldn't backtrack to the main menu. Please fix this right away ... It is highly annoying

### 1/5 — RN

*2010-06-22, version 0*

I couldn't get the app to open. I tried resetting it and nothing. I wasted my money.

### 1/5 — D

*2010-05-11, version 0*

After purchasing found out it was unsupported by iphone (and I have the top of the line version); the apps is supposed to be compatible with the iphone, but isn't. I rated it one star because I couldn't rate it with none. Save your money.

### 1/5 — Mr

*2010-02-10, version 0*

Two dollars for a GCS !!! - I already deleted it from my ipod - taking unnecessary space - useless

### 2/5 — Needs serious work

*2011-03-31, version 2.0*

I just downloaded the app, and it is difficult to backtrack your steps. There is no "back" button. It's driving me crazy. Wish I could get my money back.

### 2/5 — Neuro ToolKit

*2011-02-17, version 1.90*

When in application eg: anticonvulsant dosing unable to exit screen back to main app. Now when I enter or exit I only can see the dosing table. Frozen application noted online with another user in anoxic coma portion of the application. Avoid this app until bugs fixed.

### 3/5 — Neurology m.d.

*2013-01-31, version 2.95*

This app is ok. I would like to see pediatric dosing guidelines added to the epilepsy medication section however.

### 3/5 — Lots of potential

*2012-12-15, version 2.95*

Just used this real-time after assessing an acute stroke patient the old fashioned way. It sorely needs a couple of navigational buttons (the only way to go back/forward in the middle of the stroke scale is to cycle through each stage, reselecting options). Perhaps a home screen/root menu shortcut button and a score summary button? Potentially a very handy app

### 3/5 — Bug

*2012-04-17, version 2.50*

After last update i can not leave the section of stroke tools. the back button can not né accessed!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Excellent for Neurologists!

*2020-10-10*

Perfect to have all the important scales and scores right at your fingertips

### 5/5 — Use for acute stroke work up and it’s NIHSS

*2020-07-29*

Great tool in the pocket to have to perform the NIHSS score on stroke patients. I have been using it for years. Hope they continue to support it and update it. Other resources seem helpful too yet I use the NIHSS the most.

### 5/5 — The best app for acute neuro management

*2018-10-02*

Strong foundation for acute scores and management recommendation. Good app for clinic use too.
Definitely recommended to be used by every Neurologist/ ED specialist dealing with acute neurological conditions.

### 5/5 — Wonderful app!

*2017-02-12*

Very useful and practical, covering most bedside situations that require clinical scorings. Hope continuing updates. Thanx!

### 5/5 — Switch to PDF makes it less efficient

*2015-10-01*

An amazing app for neurologists. The use of rating scales makes ones practice more quantitative. However, the recent switch to PDF makes the app much less useful. The previous format of emailing a text file allowed copy/paste to EMR is a concise format. Copying from a PDF file puts in unwanted spaces between lines and is much less efficient overall. Please switch back to emailing text format files or having an option for both in settings. The password protection is hardly necessary as no one in their right minds would email documents with patient identifiers anyway.

Overall keep up the good work. Still rating it 5 starts despite my peeve with the PDF format.

### 5/5 — Comprehensive app for neuro resident

*2015-03-07*

I use it every time on call. Great for both neurology and neurosurgery residents

### 5/5 — Thanks

*2014-01-19, version 2.999*

Thank you.

### 5/5 — Neuro

*2012-12-12*

Great tool for a fast assessment and evaluation in an emergency setting. I recommended it to all my colleagues.

### 5/5 — Useful

*2012-11-17, version 2.90*

Useful!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2012-07-01*

This app has made evaluating a neurology patient so easy.
The lengthy scales like updrs, nihss stroke scale are very easy to perform.
