Its accuracy can be immediately evident from the two functions at the top of the app: one provides a real-time interpretation of your mental state or level of activation in natural language, while the other uses musical tones to convey the same information in a more detailed, intuitive way. As a researcher, I can clearly observe alpha waves and how their strength varies over time. For sleep studies, I’ve also found the spindle/SMR power readings to be reliable and extremely useful for evaluating sleep onset and maintenance. One of the standout features of this system is its comprehensive collection of lucid-dream induction methods, including both wake-initiated and dream-initiated techniques.
