Thank you again for giving Neuvoice a chance. ### 1/5 — Mispronunciation *2026-06-23* The app completely mispronounces the name “Shane” in every voice, making it useless for me **Developer response:** Thank you for giving Neuvoice a try, and we’re sorry this pronunciation issue made the app unusable for you. We’ve fixed the pronunciation of “Shane” in our latest update (version 3.6.8), and while we were at it, we also conducted a thorough review of popular names to improve pronunciation accuracy across the board. Please note that existing generated audio is cached and will not automatically reflect these fixes. To hear the updated pronunciations, please reimport the book or switch to a different voice that has not been used for that book. We’re also working on a fully customizable pronunciation dictionary, so you’ll be able to specify exactly how names and words should be pronounced based on your own preferences. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. Gets a little frustrating having to get it back onto the correct page. We will try to reproduce it today - assuming it's PDF related because of the specific page structure you mentioned - and we'd love to get to the bottom of this as quickly as possible. Sometimes issue like this can be book specific though, so If you’re comfortable, please reach out to support@neuvat.com and share the book that’s causing the issue. That’s the best and fastest way for us to reproduce the problem, investigate what’s happening, and fix it properly. We can also provide updates via email on the progress and status of the fix. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to support@neuvat.com with any issues, feedback, or questions in the future. ### 4/5 — Great app still needs work *2026-03-20* I’m reading this app four stars instead of five stars because while I love the app it needs a serious accessibility overhaul particularly for those of us who use VoiceOver many buttons are unclearly labelled and don’t always work as expected with VoiceOver. To the developer, I know VoiceOver is not high on many peoples lists of things to make work with apps like this but finding good reading applications with good voice options is rare. I can think of only two other similar applications with acceptable VoiceOver accessibility in one case and admirable levels in the second case. In the accessibility World we say nothing about us without us but sometimes that can be extended to the phrase nothing about us without us is for Us so if you would like assistance with increasing your app accessibility I and many others in the community would be more than happy to help. **Developer response:** Thank you for this thoughtful review, it really means a lot. You’re absolutely right that accessibility, especially VoiceOver support, needs improvement in our app. We’ve focused heavily on building high-quality, offline voice experiences, but that only matters if the app is fully usable for everyone. Tried many apps before finding this, all others required recurring subscription fees or if free, had caps on file sizes or not compatible with epub/pdf files. This app was the only one that was able to import my full textbook file, didn’t require recurring fee, and provided excellent narration. On top of this, the developer is extremely responsive and quick to integrate user feedback!
