## What is Nevada Traveler?

Nevada Traveler shows you the current status of major roads and highways throughout the state. By accessing Nevada Department of Transportation road data, you can view traffic cameras, read alerts about construction and other road-related issues, get stats from weather stations. Also available is Google Traffic, just so you have all the data in one app. And now you can read all those historical markers without getting out of your car!

I used this app all last year to plan my commute to and from work. Now that we are entering the snowy season the app doesn’t work!  Go figure.

Didn’t see road conditions layer. Maybe they show up? If you want to touch anything like layers it is set up that you accidentally touch something that opens in your main browser. Maybe it is good for traffic but who knows. The ‘ads’ change seemed like they wanted me to a accidently download google chrome. This app seems more about getting your info and tracking you than anything else.

### 3.2 — 2023-01-29

This minor release fixes these issues:

1. The highway labels disappeared when we upgraded the underlying map technology. This fix brings the labels back
2. We renamed the "Filter" tab back to "Legend". You can still filter the pins you see, but we felt the purpose of it is mainly as a legend, so we renamed it back.

### 3.1 — 2022-10-21

The NDOT data has changed, requiring changes to the Traveler backend services. A new app is required to pick up these changes.

The new data introduces video cameras.

### 3.0 — 2022-08-27

We've made many changes on both the backend and the frontend of the app:

• All layers are now free of charge
• You can change the map style to one of several options. Access from the Settings tab
• The Legend has been renamed to Filter. It still provides legend information, but you can also filter out certain markers you don't want to see
• New pins for most data layers
• Some high-volume markers are only visible at certain zoom levels. Turning on historical markers, for instance, may not display them immediately because there are too many. You need to zoom in to see them
• Truck parking has been pulled out from the rest areas layer and put into its own layer.
• The refresh button has been moved from the Layers menu to a button right on the map, in the upper left corner
• Cleaned up the UI on the Search tab

### 2.0 — 2021-09-14

This major release brings Nevada Traveler up to date with its sister apps, including a whole new UI that uses tabs instead of the hamburger menu.

Note that this update is required, since the old version will cease to work after September 15.

### 1.0 — 2017-06-18

This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.
