### 3/5 — Over priced and repetitive

*2026-08-16*

To get a membership it is very expensive. If you don’t, you will dump far more money into energy than into a membership, both being heavily over priced, especially given you have minimal selections for your character, no spells, no attributes, only the skill sets and that’s it. Another thing I find annoying is the fact that sometimes I just don’t know what to say so I choose continue to make the story just pick what happens. Each time you click continue or action, you lose energy. There was a moment when I hit continue three times and AI only repeated itself using different words but still essentially the same thing.
I wish there were more story options where you get to build your character instead of being forced to choose a pre made character. It would also be cool if your items that are selected at the beginning or purchased can be switched between your characters.
Thanks as well for the response from developers.
I added a couple more things to my review I forgot to add. I really appreciate that they take time to read these.

**Developer response:** Fair feedback, thank you. Those repeated responses on Continue are usually the lighter, cheaper AI models struggling to move the story forward; switching to a stronger model in the settings helps a lot. On cost, it's free to keep playing daily (we just raised the daily free energy), with the subscription optional. We're also working on reducing low-value repeated turns. Appreciate the detail.

### 4/5 — Very fun but…

*2026-08-11*

This is exactly the kind of thing I’ve been looking for. Create your own characters, create your own adventures even, and have an AI run the game world. Multiplayer is great too (just need to wait for that functionality to be available on the website. Some of my friends can’t get the mobile version.). I have only a few nitpicks.

- you’re forced to generate an image for your characters. I’d rather import an image that portrays my characters exactly as I envisioned them.
- You can’t go back and edit a choice after the AI storyteller has responded to it. It’s very awkward when the characters react to your bad grammar.
- There’s no search function for adventures. Ideally, you’d input the title of an adventure that a friend or someone else has made, and a list of search results would come up, hopefully including the one you want to play. Instead, you only have what seems to be just the most frequently played adventures to choose from.
- The energy system is… disappointing. I fully understand that implementing AIs is expensive, but buying energy in a shop is one of the worst microtransactions you can get in a mobile game. Wouldn’t a better system be you can play for free, but only for a specific amount of choices per day until that AI model is locked unless you buy a monthly subscription?

All in all, I’m happy with the game, I’m enjoying my time in it, and there’s only a few things that could be better about it. I’m glad this is getting frequent updates!

### 2/5 — Good idea, needs improvement

*2026-08-11*

This is a good concept that I have seen a lot of. However, this game is limited by energy, the currency system. I like that you can get free energy for sharing the game but, there should be more options like ads.
About the gameplay; the game is fun and the AI seems reliable, however there should definitely be more specific class options, a greater variety of races and also, more specific spells and items. The stats system needs replacement because physical is very unbalanced as it takes the role of dexterity as well. Mental is largely unused as mages use spirit for spell casting.
I think there should also be a personality description, to remind the AI what kind of person you are.
Sometimes my energy is wasted as the AI practically repeats the last text it gave, so it’s better value to describe what you do early before the AI gives options.
Overall this is a fun game for an hour until you run out of energy. To earn 5 stars, please consider the guidance I gave.

**Developer response:** This is genuinely useful, thank you for the detail. A few are already on our radar: more free energy options like ads, and reducing the repeated-text turns (usually the lighter AI models — a stronger model in settings helps now). The class/race/spell variety, the stats rebalance, and a personality field are all good calls we're noting. Thanks for taking the time to lay it out.

### 3/5 — Game mechanics don’t make sense

*2026-08-11*

I’ve been enjoying the game and the story, but I’m having a serious issue with how my character’s attributes are being used during rolls.

My character has a Spirit attribute of 10, but when the game performs a Spirit Check, I’m getting results such as:

- 10 + 4 = 14
- 2 + 6 = 8
- 5 + 5 = 10

My Spirit attribute is still 10, so I don’t understand why different numbers are being used during these Spirit Checks or how my Spirit of 10 is actually being taken into consideration.

This has become especially frustrating because it is causing me to fail important rolls. For example, I recently received 5 + 5 = 10 vs DC 12, resulting in a failure. I have specifically invested my level-up points into Spirit because I want my character to be strong in Spirit-based actions, but when a Spirit Check happens, I cannot tell how my actual Spirit attribute is affecting the result.

I’ve noticed the same confusion with other attributes as well. When I put points into Physical, Mental, Social, Spirit, or Luck, I expect those investments to have a clear and understandable effect when the corresponding attribute is checked.

The biggest issue is that the game does not explain how the displayed attribute number is being used during these rolls. I’m not asking for the game to make every roll successful. Failure is part of the game. However, I should be able to understand why I failed and how the attribute points I’ve invested are affecting my chances.

Please either correct the way attributes are being applied during checks or provide a clear explanation within the game showing exactly how my displayed attribute is being taken into consideration when a roll occurs. Right now, I can see that I have Spirit 10, but when a Spirit Check happens, the numbers shown on the roll do not clearly correspond with that attribute, making character progression feel confusing and unrewarding.

**Developer response:** Great, specific feedback, thank you. Here's how it works: each check is a 20-sided die roll (1-20) plus a bonus of half the relevant attribute, so Spirit 10 = +5 on a Spirit check. In "10 + 4," the first number is the random d20 (that's why totals swing so much) and the second is the bonus. You're right that the app doesn't explain this and that half-attribute rounding makes single points feel weak, both things we want to fix. If you're seeing a bonus other than +5 on a true Spirit check, that's worth a look, email neverend@aiapps.games and we'll check your character.

### 1/5 — The RPG Experience nobody wants

*2026-08-07*

Imagine starting a compelling D&d like adventure in a prison cell. Interactions with the guards and environment seem fluid adaptive and dynamic, but UH OH.
Hard stop on the game. Hundreds of dollars, or wait a day for your next one turn.
That’s right… every 24 hours, you can submit ONE action and see what happens.
Then enjoy waiting another day to follow up.

This game is fine in concept, but the developers are off their nut if they think this app is worth the insane price they’ve put on it.

I’d bet that this is an LLM grift. This will be gone in 6 months and these devs will have bought jet skis.

**Developer response:** The hard-stops and looping usually come from playing on one of the lighter, cheaper AI models, which can struggle to hold a long adventure together. Switching to a stronger model in the settings makes a big difference and keeps the story coherent. It's not meant to be one action a day. You also earn free energy daily and the subscription is optional. Worth another try on a better model.

### 4/5 — Decent but has its issues

*2026-07-27*

Its decent but the issue i encountered was that as you level up your dice roll for basic tasks continue to go up as you level up, so the levels and attributes are just there to look nice and dont give much advantage, merchants in the main story are non existent when you buy items you have to start a new story to use them, besides that the mechanics are decent but i would like for a visual map since sometimes the AI can forget geography

**Developer response:** Really useful, specific feedback — thank you. You've hit some real ones: using items and merchants within an ongoing story, and character levels/attributes shifting outcomes more, are things we want to improve — and a visual map to keep the AI's geography consistent is a great idea we'll pass along. Appreciate you taking the time to detail it.

### 3/5 — Interesting idea

*2026-07-16*

Thank you for this text based Dungeons & Dragons type of role-play. I am legally blind, but wondering what is the point of your race and your class in this game as far as I can tell there is nothing that says exactly why you are choosing certain race or why you were choosing a certain class and no idea what your abilities are supposed to be without it being stated upfront. I think during character creation there needs to be descriptors for each and if this is Dungeons & Dragons, tell me what my skills and my abilities are that as far as I could tell, the only thing about this, that is Dungeons & Dragons is the world. As far as I can tell you use three dice to make a skill check and everything seems to be a skill check in this game. It is not dungeons and dragons, dungeons and dragons users 20 sided die for many things as well as the 12, 10, eight, six and four sided dice as well as the D 100 please make this make sense to me how this is Dungeons & Dragons and please make this make sense to me what the purpose of race and class are what abilities do you get for each etc.. How do I know if a weapon I pick up I am going to be able to use competently? How do I know if I need a magic tomb what are your abilities scores for? In Dungeons & Dragons normally your build scores are from 3 to 18 with anything from a 10 and above give you a plus one for every two points above 10 and a minus one for every two points below 10. And the abilities are completely different in the two games please help make sense of everything about your game in plain language so that I know what I can do that is special from one class to another. I haven’t tested this but wondering no matter what class I take can I tell the games dungeon match that I am doing anything I want to whether it is available to do class in Dungeons & Dragons or not? How many attacks do I get in a turn or is every character only allowed one attack? How do I use magic in the game? Is it totally up to me my imagination in what I described to the dungeon master as what I am doing magically? How does this all work? or any other item in the shop?

**Developer response:** Thank you for such detailed feedback — genuinely useful. To set expectations: this is a freeform AI-driven RPG inspired by tabletop fantasy, not official D&D or strict 5e, so it uses a simpler skill-check system rather than the full d20 dice set, and race, class, and attributes flavor how the AI narrates and resolves what you attempt rather than granting fixed ability lists. You can truly try anything and the AI adjudicates it. You're right that character creation should spell out what each choice does in plain language — we'll work on adding clearer descriptors. Thanks for taking the time, and for the accessibility perspective.

### 3/5 — 1 Complaint

*2026-07-14*

I think the idea behind this app is amazing. I’m not much of a dnd person but I love fantasy books, and this pretty much just lets me write my own narrative. However this is restricted by the energy. I totally get the limited amount of energy being a feature. However, I think it is limited toi much. A passive revenue of energy would be one of the best fixes that I can think of.

**Developer response:** Really appreciate this. You're not the only one asking for a steadier flow of energy, and that's exactly what we're working on — more free ways to earn beyond the daily rewards. Thanks for laying the feedback out so clearly.

### 1/5 — Could be amazing but they’re money hungry and made it trash as a result….

*2026-07-13*

Games actually really fun has endless possibilities and room for growth unfortunately the whole “ take action” is facilitated by the resource of energy, which is not free so unlike what the ad says if you wanted to read and you wanted to be really in depth then it cost you like $150 a year which is ridiculous for an iPhone game

**Developer response:** Fair feedback, and thanks for the kind words on the game itself. It is free to play — you get energy every day through Daily Rewards without paying, and the subscription is optional for heavier sessions. We hear you on cost and are actively tuning the energy economy so it stretches further.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.5 — 2026-08-15

A round of polish across the app. We smoothed out a few rough edges, tuned things behind the scenes, and made everything run a little faster.

Thanks for playing.

### 1.1.4 — 2026-08-11

We added Epilogue Mode to every adventure. Reach "THE END" and you can choose to stay in that world and keep playing: same character, same companions, same gear, for as long as you like.

We also put gold into the story itself. When someone pays you or a bribe costs you, the gold in your purse actually changes, and you can spend it at the Merchant later. (New adventures.)

And in the Arena, you can now spend gold between waves to thin your deck. We rebuilt the combat screen to be bigger and clearer, and fights run smoother throughout.

### 1.1.3 — 2026-08-07

• Faster, smoother app launch
• Fixed a crash that could happen while sound effects were playing
• Clearer message when you reach the Arena's daily run limit
• Minor main menu fixes and general stability improvements

### 1.1.2 — 2026-07-31

Bug fixes and improvements.

• Bank your spoils between waves… or press on and risk it ALL for greater glory
• Slay bosses to claim mighty boons and grow stronger with every wave
