### 3/5 — Over priced and repetitive

*2026-08-16*

To get a membership it is very expensive. If you don’t, you will dump far more money into energy than into a membership, both being heavily over priced, especially given you have minimal selections for your character, no spells, no attributes, only the skill sets and that’s it. Another thing I find annoying is the fact that sometimes I just don’t know what to say so I choose continue to make the story just pick what happens. Each time you click continue or action, you lose energy. There was a moment when I hit continue three times and AI only repeated itself using different words but still essentially the same thing.
I wish there were more story options where you get to build your character instead of being forced to choose a pre made character. It would also be cool if your items that are selected at the beginning or purchased can be switched between your characters.
Thanks as well for the response from developers.
I added a couple more things to my review I forgot to add. I really appreciate that they take time to read these.

**Developer response:** Fair feedback, thank you. Those repeated responses on Continue are usually the lighter, cheaper AI models struggling to move the story forward; switching to a stronger model in the settings helps a lot. On cost, it's free to keep playing daily (we just raised the daily free energy), with the subscription optional. We're also working on reducing low-value repeated turns. Appreciate the detail.

### 4/5 — Very fun but…

*2026-08-11*

This is exactly the kind of thing I’ve been looking for. Create your own characters, create your own adventures even, and have an AI run the game world. Multiplayer is great too (just need to wait for that functionality to be available on the website. Some of my friends can’t get the mobile version.). I have only a few nitpicks.

- you’re forced to generate an image for your characters. I’d rather import an image that portrays my characters exactly as I envisioned them.
- You can’t go back and edit a choice after the AI storyteller has responded to it. It’s very awkward when the characters react to your bad grammar.
- There’s no search function for adventures. Ideally, you’d input the title of an adventure that a friend or someone else has made, and a list of search results would come up, hopefully including the one you want to play. Instead, you only have what seems to be just the most frequently played adventures to choose from.
- The energy system is… disappointing. I fully understand that implementing AIs is expensive, but buying energy in a shop is one of the worst microtransactions you can get in a mobile game. Wouldn’t a better system be you can play for free, but only for a specific amount of choices per day until that AI model is locked unless you buy a monthly subscription?

All in all, I’m happy with the game, I’m enjoying my time in it, and there’s only a few things that could be better about it. I’m glad this is getting frequent updates!

### 2/5 — Good idea, needs improvement

*2026-08-11*

This is a good concept that I have seen a lot of. However, this game is limited by energy, the currency system. I like that you can get free energy for sharing the game but, there should be more options like ads.
About the gameplay; the game is fun and the AI seems reliable, however there should definitely be more specific class options, a greater variety of races and also, more specific spells and items. The stats system needs replacement because physical is very unbalanced as it takes the role of dexterity as well. Mental is largely unused as mages use spirit for spell casting.
I think there should also be a personality description, to remind the AI what kind of person you are.
Sometimes my energy is wasted as the AI practically repeats the last text it gave, so it’s better value to describe what you do early before the AI gives options.
Overall this is a fun game for an hour until you run out of energy. To earn 5 stars, please consider the guidance I gave.

**Developer response:** This is genuinely useful, thank you for the detail. A few are already on our radar: more free energy options like ads, and reducing the repeated-text turns (usually the lighter AI models — a stronger model in settings helps now). The class/race/spell variety, the stats rebalance, and a personality field are all good calls we're noting. Thanks for taking the time to lay it out.

### 3/5 — Game mechanics don’t make sense

*2026-08-11*

I’ve been enjoying the game and the story, but I’m having a serious issue with how my character’s attributes are being used during rolls.

My character has a Spirit attribute of 10, but when the game performs a Spirit Check, I’m getting results such as:

- 10 + 4 = 14
- 2 + 6 = 8
- 5 + 5 = 10

My Spirit attribute is still 10, so I don’t understand why different numbers are being used during these Spirit Checks or how my Spirit of 10 is actually being taken into consideration.

This has become especially frustrating because it is causing me to fail important rolls. For example, I recently received 5 + 5 = 10 vs DC 12, resulting in a failure. I have specifically invested my level-up points into Spirit because I want my character to be strong in Spirit-based actions, but when a Spirit Check happens, I cannot tell how my actual Spirit attribute is affecting the result.

I’ve noticed the same confusion with other attributes as well. When I put points into Physical, Mental, Social, Spirit, or Luck, I expect those investments to have a clear and understandable effect when the corresponding attribute is checked.

The biggest issue is that the game does not explain how the displayed attribute number is being used during these rolls. I’m not asking for the game to make every roll successful. Failure is part of the game. However, I should be able to understand why I failed and how the attribute points I’ve invested are affecting my chances.

Please either correct the way attributes are being applied during checks or provide a clear explanation within the game showing exactly how my displayed attribute is being taken into consideration when a roll occurs. Right now, I can see that I have Spirit 10, but when a Spirit Check happens, the numbers shown on the roll do not clearly correspond with that attribute, making character progression feel confusing and unrewarding.

**Developer response:** Great, specific feedback, thank you. Here's how it works: each check is a 20-sided die roll (1-20) plus a bonus of half the relevant attribute, so Spirit 10 = +5 on a Spirit check. In "10 + 4," the first number is the random d20 (that's why totals swing so much) and the second is the bonus. You're right that the app doesn't explain this and that half-attribute rounding makes single points feel weak, both things we want to fix. If you're seeing a bonus other than +5 on a true Spirit check, that's worth a look, email neverend@aiapps.games and we'll check your character.

### 4/5 — Decent but has its issues

*2026-07-27*

Its decent but the issue i encountered was that as you level up your dice roll for basic tasks continue to go up as you level up, so the levels and attributes are just there to look nice and dont give much advantage, merchants in the main story are non existent when you buy items you have to start a new story to use them, besides that the mechanics are decent but i would like for a visual map since sometimes the AI can forget geography

**Developer response:** Really useful, specific feedback — thank you. You've hit some real ones: using items and merchants within an ongoing story, and character levels/attributes shifting outcomes more, are things we want to improve — and a visual map to keep the AI's geography consistent is a great idea we'll pass along. Appreciate you taking the time to detail it.

### 3/5 — Interesting idea

*2026-07-16*

Thank you for this text based Dungeons & Dragons type of role-play. I am legally blind, but wondering what is the point of your race and your class in this game as far as I can tell there is nothing that says exactly why you are choosing certain race or why you were choosing a certain class and no idea what your abilities are supposed to be without it being stated upfront. I think during character creation there needs to be descriptors for each and if this is Dungeons & Dragons, tell me what my skills and my abilities are that as far as I could tell, the only thing about this, that is Dungeons & Dragons is the world. As far as I can tell you use three dice to make a skill check and everything seems to be a skill check in this game. It is not dungeons and dragons, dungeons and dragons users 20 sided die for many things as well as the 12, 10, eight, six and four sided dice as well as the D 100 please make this make sense to me how this is Dungeons & Dragons and please make this make sense to me what the purpose of race and class are what abilities do you get for each etc.. How do I know if a weapon I pick up I am going to be able to use competently? How do I know if I need a magic tomb what are your abilities scores for? In Dungeons & Dragons normally your build scores are from 3 to 18 with anything from a 10 and above give you a plus one for every two points above 10 and a minus one for every two points below 10. And the abilities are completely different in the two games please help make sense of everything about your game in plain language so that I know what I can do that is special from one class to another. I haven’t tested this but wondering no matter what class I take can I tell the games dungeon match that I am doing anything I want to whether it is available to do class in Dungeons & Dragons or not? How many attacks do I get in a turn or is every character only allowed one attack? How do I use magic in the game? Is it totally up to me my imagination in what I described to the dungeon master as what I am doing magically? How does this all work? or any other item in the shop?

**Developer response:** Thank you for such detailed feedback — genuinely useful. To set expectations: this is a freeform AI-driven RPG inspired by tabletop fantasy, not official D&D or strict 5e, so it uses a simpler skill-check system rather than the full d20 dice set, and race, class, and attributes flavor how the AI narrates and resolves what you attempt rather than granting fixed ability lists. You can truly try anything and the AI adjudicates it. You're right that character creation should spell out what each choice does in plain language — we'll work on adding clearer descriptors. Thanks for taking the time, and for the accessibility perspective.

### 3/5 — 1 Complaint

*2026-07-14*

I think the idea behind this app is amazing. I’m not much of a dnd person but I love fantasy books, and this pretty much just lets me write my own narrative. However this is restricted by the energy. I totally get the limited amount of energy being a feature. However, I think it is limited toi much. A passive revenue of energy would be one of the best fixes that I can think of.

**Developer response:** Really appreciate this. You're not the only one asking for a steadier flow of energy, and that's exactly what we're working on — more free ways to earn beyond the daily rewards. Thanks for laying the feedback out so clearly.

### 3/5 — Fun but needs more to it

*2026-07-12*

It’s a great idea and it is fun to play, but the energy (like most free games) and the character creation being locked behind a paywall, ruins the experience you barely get started and into it and it cuts you off after only a few actions, then you only get energy every day and it goes up every day you log on to try to “incentivize” you to play every day to get the same small hit as the first day, the pay wall is insanely overpriced. But if they can work out a better energy system that helps keep the player engaged longer, this could genuinely be a great experience for those entering or thinking about playing D&D without needing dozens to hundreds of dollars to have some simple fun in a fantasy world with a hand built character.

**Developer response:** Thoughtful feedback — thank you. A better energy system that keeps you playing longer is exactly what we're working on, including more free ways to earn. Appreciate you seeing the potential here.

### 2/5 — Bs game like usual

*2026-07-09*

Good game i think but the fact you need to pay to play longueur its a joke, i got better things to do than wait or pay to play… bye

**Developer response:** Thanks for giving it a shot. You can keep playing for free with the energy you earn each day through Daily Rewards, and a subscription is optional if you want more in one sitting. More free ways to earn are on the way, too.

### 3/5 — Enjoy, buuuuuut …

*2026-07-07*

I enjoy this so far, it allows me to play dnd on my own, and I like how it makes the story up as I go, a lot of fun for sure!

However, I subscribed to the Legend package THINKING it was going to be awesome and I was going to rewarded … and wasn’t! What a let down! Also as I played, there isn’t a leveling system, or progression, or a system where you can check your stats, and you don’t know what spells are available to you…. You just kind of make things up and go on the fly. No energy regeneration, so if I use up my 1500 energy, that’s it, I will have to wait a month (a MONTH) to play again. Sooo yeah … fun time until it isn’t.

**Developer response:** Thank you for subscribing, and sorry it didn't match what you expected. You're right that the game is freeform right now rather than a structured leveling/stat system — that openness is the design, but clearer character progression and visibility is real feedback we're taking seriously. On energy, you also earn free daily energy on top of your Legend grant, and we're adding more ways to top up for free. If you'd like us to look at your account, email neverend@aiapps.games — we'd genuinely like to make this right.

### 4/5 — Super Cool So Far

*2026-07-01*

I really like this game so far, it open ended and utilizing AI in a really fun and interesting way. I have tried a couple of different games of this genre and this one is definitely up there is the category. I totally understand the more expensive nature currently since it is in such early development but later on, I think it would be better if making your own adventures were free or cost energy. I don’t really mind the cost of the energy but I really would like to make my own campaigns without having to pay. Overall though, this is awesome!

### 2/5 — While originally fun, lost account due to link with apple

*2026-06-30*

I started playing a couple days ago and was enjoying it, but then I exited the app. When I tried to get in this morning, it said link to Apple. I thought yeah, I obviously want to do that. After signing into apple, I started looking around and saw that the character I created and the energy I had gotten from the subscription were completely gone. I then signed out to see if the account was saved locally and it kicked me back to the character creation screen. There is no support or restore purchases, it’s just start the whole thing over again. Initially very excited, now just disappointed.

**Developer response:** Sorry about the trouble — this sounds like an account-linking issue rather than lost data, and it's something we can look into with you directly. Please email neverend@aiapps.games with the details and the Apple ID you signed in with, and we'll help sort out your character and energy.

### 3/5 — Huge potential being wasted here

*2026-06-29*

Add a little more starting energy and instead of a replenish over time, or, at the least make it a watch ad to get energy. That should help cover the cost of ai request. Or maybe like watch 2 adds and get so much energy. This will help alleviate the cost with the ai without becoming spam after each interaction ,keeping the games immersion intact . Other than that this is innovative on a whole new scale for mobile gaming.

**Developer response:** Thanks — this is a genuinely helpful suggestion, and rewarded ads for energy is something we're actively looking at. Appreciate you taking the time to lay it out, and glad the concept is landing for you.

### 3/5 — Could be great but missed the mark.

*2026-06-18, version 1.0.14*

Fun game but just forget about creating a character. You spend your energy which is essentially money for the game to just say error, try again. Reminds me of an early access steam game.

### 3/5 — Just a suggestion

*2026-06-18, version 1.0.14*

It would probably be better to allow people to make their own character rather than have to choose from such a small selection. Since this app uses AI, there’s no reason you wouldn’t be able to allow this.

### 1/5 — The RPG Experience nobody wants

*2026-08-07*

Imagine starting a compelling D&d like adventure in a prison cell. Interactions with the guards and environment seem fluid adaptive and dynamic, but UH OH.
Hard stop on the game. Hundreds of dollars, or wait a day for your next one turn.
That’s right… every 24 hours, you can submit ONE action and see what happens.
Then enjoy waiting another day to follow up.

This game is fine in concept, but the developers are off their nut if they think this app is worth the insane price they’ve put on it.

I’d bet that this is an LLM grift. This will be gone in 6 months and these devs will have bought jet skis.

**Developer response:** The hard-stops and looping usually come from playing on one of the lighter, cheaper AI models, which can struggle to hold a long adventure together. Switching to a stronger model in the settings makes a big difference and keeps the story coherent. It's not meant to be one action a day. You also earn free energy daily and the subscription is optional. Worth another try on a better model.

### 1/5 — Could be amazing but they’re money hungry and made it trash as a result….

*2026-07-13*

Games actually really fun has endless possibilities and room for growth unfortunately the whole “ take action” is facilitated by the resource of energy, which is not free so unlike what the ad says if you wanted to read and you wanted to be really in depth then it cost you like $150 a year which is ridiculous for an iPhone game

**Developer response:** Fair feedback, and thanks for the kind words on the game itself. It is free to play — you get energy every day through Daily Rewards without paying, and the subscription is optional for heavier sessions. We hear you on cost and are actively tuning the energy economy so it stretches further.

### 1/5 — Erasure of all progress.

*2026-07-02*

I was feeling iffy about this game because I had written a whole backstory for my character and was immediately put in a dungeon with no memory of who I was or why I was there. There was little windows to escape and when I finally did I started to have fun exploring the world, I gained coin and started to make a life outside of the dungeon but when I went to sleep one of the nights in game, I suddenly woke up BACK in the same dungeon with no memories. I had used up 500 of my 1000 energy points only for all of it to be wasted. Horrible waste of my time.

**Developer response:** Sorry about that — progress resetting and losing energy was a real bug, and we've fixed it in a recent update. Please update to the latest version and it shouldn't happen again. If you're still out the energy from that session, email neverend@aiapps.games and we'll credit it back.

### 1/5 — Pay to play

*2026-06-22*

Seems interesting but it’s a purely pay to play

**Developer response:** Thanks for giving it a try. It's actually free to play — you get free energy daily through Daily Rewards, free dice rolls, and bonus energy for inviting friends, with subscriptions optional if you want more. We're also actively tuning the energy economy so it goes further. Hope you'll give it another shot.

### 1/5 — Pay to play, get your wallet.

*2026-06-16*

I’m going to be completely candid: the little bit that I WAS able to play (before I was limited by 20 actions per day), was very entertaining and exciting, AI powered dungeon master? I mean come on, that’s fantastic. My issue, however? Is that you must literally pay to play, 20 actions a day is barely a conversation with an NPC, AND my 20 energy don’t refresh after a day, so I’m beat in that regard. The worst part? If you REALLY like this game and decide to do the highest subscription possible? You can STILL run out of energy and then you’re literally forced into micro transactions if you want to keep playing. From a capitalist perspective? Locking down an exciting new game behind a pay-wall is a “smart” move so to speak if you want to milk people for all they’re worth and take advantage of their hobbies and interests. From a players perspective? This a disgusting way to monetize something that’s meant to bring people joy. I’ve always wanted to get into D&D and I finally thought I’d give it a try, but this has completely put me off. I’m genuinely appalled at the state of monetization that we’ve reached. I have much more to say but I’ll leave it at that. Ridiculous.

**Developer response:** Really appreciate the candid feedback, and glad the core experience clicked for you. The cost concern is fair, and we're actively rebalancing energy so it stretches further — especially for subscribers. In the meantime you can earn free energy every day through Daily Rewards and free dice rolls, plus bonus energy for inviting friends, all without paying. We're reading feedback like yours closely as we tune this.

### 1/5 — If your looking for a free at look else where

*2026-06-16*

They expect people to spend 200 a year to play this game yes you get free rolls each day 3 text inputs

**Developer response:** Fair feedback — thank you. You don't have to pay to keep playing: Daily Rewards give free energy each day, dice rolls are free, and inviting a friend earns bonus energy for both of you. We also hear you on wanting more room, and we're actively tuning the energy economy to go further. Hope you'll give it another look.

### 1/5 — Can’t even play

*2026-06-11*

I created my own character but when i finish it wont even create my character and i redid it twice and still wont work i used all the photo energy points for my character to not even be accepted its like it forces you to play the premade characters. Got excited for no reason.

**Developer response:** Sorry about this — that was a bug, but the good news is we've already fixed it, so it shouldn't happen anymore once you're on the latest version. You're definitely not meant to be stuck with the premade characters. Since it burned your energy without saving your character, email us at neverend@aiapps.games and we'll get that restored for you.

### 1/5 — Faulty product

*2026-06-09, version 1.0.12*

After spending 2 hours invested in a story it suddenly swaps from English to Chinese, way to kill my vibe bros, and you want 10 dollars a month for 1000 interactions

### 1/5 — It’s just a scam!

*2026-05-30*

You can’t play this game for even 10 minutes before it’s hitting you up to buy “energy” to continue. You might get 8-10 interactions with the AI GM before you’ve expended all your energy, without a single encounter or fight. Just walking will burn through your energy. And your character can’t even think in the game without failing a check.

**Developer response:** Fair feedback. We've since boosted the energy new players start with, rebalanced the system so routine actions like walking, talking, or thinking no longer trigger dice rolls or failed checks, and added free energy you can collect every day. It's all live in the latest update — if it still feels tight, reach us at support@botsandbolts.co and we'll make it right.

### 1/5 — Bait and switch

*2026-05-29, version 1.0.10*

Don’t buy into this game, it will fool you, after investing the top tier in the game the 89 dollars per year, the game does not act accurately, the AI is grossly inaccurate, constantly making mistakes and quite unresponsive to feedback. If I could give it Zero stars I would. It’s a HUGE RIP OFF!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-07-07*

So I’ve gotten to try the game out and absolutely love how smooth it plays and how fast the AI is. I played a lot of DND games with AI, but for the most part they’re kind of slow. This one seems smooth and fluid and works very well. If you ever have any problems, you can contact the maintenance or/people that run the game. They’re absolutely friendly and make sure that they take care of anyone playing the game. This is definitely one that I will never put down absolutely amazing app!!

### 5/5 — Would be good if they actually gave you the energy you pay for

*2026-07-06*

Story is fun, entertaining, and generally fair. It’s essentially DnD…. However if you want a more immersive experience you have to choose the smarter AI and it burns more energy. It’s worth the download and even worth subscribing…. The hard part is having the patience to not play and burn through all your energy in 2 days. Recommend taking breaks if you aren’t going to subscribe.

### 5/5 — Love the app!

*2026-06-20, version 1.0.14*

Fun adventures - always something new to try

### 5/5 — Amazing Game + Support

*2026-06-19*

Being a fan of Dungeons and Dragons and wanting a simple storytelling adventure that I can dive into, this game has been exceptionally fun. While it still has its on improvements and growth, the support team has never failed to respond within 12hrs and provide an actual solution. From simple things such as needing help understanding the UI, to fixing a bug and providing an app update asap. This has been very fun for solo, and I’m slowly diving into multiplayer with friends.
Progress: the progress has been immense and exciting. I am unsure about their plans to add more options when creating an adventure such as: Locations, Items, Groups, etc instead of the standard ‘playable character’ and ‘NPC.’ I think it would be very expansive for the adventures and the Ai would be able to pick up specifics of the locations and keep symmetry without worrying about the adventure memory as much; also creates a more specific/linear storyline for any players who are looking for that.

Amazing game, have already recommended it to friends.

### 5/5 — Great tech support

*2026-06-16, version 1.0.12*

The tech support is on cue. The story system is great. I enjoy making stories that will just keep going ! I just wish the energy was a bit more :)

### 5/5 — I’m loving the game

*2026-06-14*

I’m absolutely loving the game I’m having two problem’s though when I try to create a custom character it’s tells me try again later and I also can’t start a campaign with my girlfriend it just won’t let her choose a character

### 5/5 — Bs game

*2026-06-06*

Burn 1 energy per paragraph. Daily reward is 3 energy. Don’t download

### 5/5 — Language

*2026-06-02, version 1.0.12*

Great game!! But would be better in my language Spanish!!! Please!! Thank you!

### 5/5 — I love dnd

*2026-05-22, version 1.0.10*

I loveeeee dnd

### 5/5 — Idea maybe?

*2026-05-18*

Been playing the game for about a week . Been playing all of my character ideas through a campaign I created and just started enjoying the adventure but through different eyes. Been a lot of fun. Replay ability off the charts if you purchase the ultimate edition thing. definitely worth the money. For people like me who don’t have friends to play DnD with. Critical role trap anyone.

Anyway can you replace the send button to enter that on the keyboard. cause I hit it like all the time and have to close the app fast enough before it give a response.

Also a different free energy system cause 5 things to do ain’t much especially if you are trying to get a better description of what I’m looking at.

Great game very good updates so far!
