We have thousands of hand-selected and community-submitted local pubs and taprooms for you to try instead. With location switched on you will see venues nearest to you. To see a full list of locations to get alternatives to, click on the list at the bottom. I suppose it’s useful as a pub finder, but no comparisons to Spoons have been studied ### 4/5 — Now works *2023-10-03, version 2.0.8* Changing my 1* review as now the search is working and the map scrolls. Use it to find alternative establishments 😊 ### 1/5 — Fatal flaw: Nice idea but map will not allow sliding *2023-04-30, version 1.1.0* When you plan a pub night or crawl you want to plan for where you WILL be, not where you ARE, so you need to be able to slide the map instead of it fixating on where you are currently. I clicked one pub I hadn’t heard of, and their profile was a Wetherspoons site. Come on. ### 2/5 — Keeps crashing *2022-12-26, version 1.1.0* This would be a great app, but it crashes every time you click the ‘More information’ on a pub and it’s impossible to navigate around the map. Plus definition of independent is skewed as it’s listing places like Stonegate which are almost as huge as Wetherspoon anyway. ### 3/5 — Great idea, but… *2022-10-14, version 1.1.0* Love the idea of this app and it’s a great way to find pubs when out and about. But the ‘more information’ button on each pub crashes the app, so it’s impossible to know anything about a venue, other than it’s name. It hasn’t been updated for a year so is it still in operation? Otherwise great app. ### 1/5 — Would be ok if it worked! *2022-09-06, version 1.1.0* Just as useless as before - map or search function doesn’t work. So you can’t look at anywhere apart from the immediate area which is pretty pointless. Also relies on users updating the database so no investment being made - it can never be accurate as pubs are opening and closing daily. We also fixed some issues where the app got into some occasional infinite loops. The changes generally speed up certain parts of the app because of this. ### 2.1.1 — 2024-03-22 In this version, we've made some small bug fixes and styling tweaks.
