I was able to continue until I got to the lab and the magnifier got stuck. I have tried getting around it but no luck. Like other reviewers, I also would be unable to use some items, some things showed up only after I left a scene and returned, and sometimes I would not be able to pick up an object unless I used a hint. And some hints flash by so quickly if you blink you miss it and there is no way to go back (also in the lab scene.) I used the guide although I prefer not to just to move forward. Disappointed in BFG; have been fan for years. Lately so many games are so glitchy they are unplayable. Quality, not quantity- get it together Big Fish! Paid games that are unplayable = lost customers, I am sad to say. ☹️ ### 4/5 — Amazing but... *2016-02-19, version 1.0.4* The Beauty Within is a tasteful blend of fantasy, mystery, hidden object, puzzles and supernatural. It has a strong storyline and phenomenal graphic design. It starts out seemingly normal, but becomes stranger as you progress. With stories within the story, it helps the main character find a part of herself that was lost. At first, you're doing normal tasks. Grab the car keys. Open the cupboard. Then, you're doing crazy things like traveling to other worlds. The main focus of the game is to return the baby to her home, while discovering the secrets that lie inside your locket. What I enjoy most about this game is that you have to expect the unexpected. However, there is one big thing preventing the game from getting 5 stars. So, I've completed the main game and the bonus chapter. I finished the first hidden chapter as well. I was disappointed when the collectibles did not work. No matter what I do, I just cannot seem to open the cupboard. The BFG staff have been very helpful and cooperative, but no matter what I try, the collectibles don't work. I have had to skip puzzles simply because they are frozen and I can't continue. For example,the cannon picture you are supposed to color, it doesn't work to color the green part of the cannon. I had about 4 puzzles that froze up and couldn't be finished. Now I'm in the lab, the magnifying glass is frozen on top of the book and I can't get any further. After most of the game has been enjoyed the game freezes during the Restoration of the Book of Passage. The magnifying glass freezes and then that is it! The game can't be retrieved. The Ghost game can't progress past the cop station because the paranormal spheres can't be collected. I'm playing in iPhone so maybe the issues are specific to that platform. I recently went back to replay the entire Nevertales series and fell in love all over again with the Nevertales Beauty Within. Seeing others feedback about glitching in the tower, I found if I didn’t hold the magnifying glass correctly it would look like it had frozen when in fact it hadn’t. I liked that I could go back and collect the collectibles I’d missed. I've had absolutely no glitches or problems at all ( using iPad Air), unlike others who have complained. The amount of playable depth within the game is tremendous and the puzzles are easy enough if you pay close attention to your journal etc. I did find some a little difficult at first but then you suddenly 'get' what they're after. If anything, I found that some of the puzzles didn't give you sufficient info, however with persistence I'm getting through them all...so far;) Definitely one of the better and extremely interesting,y put together games I have played in a while. Not withstanding the fact that due to illness I've had to take a break from playing HOG's for a couple of months. That just means I have a backlog of potentially wonderful games yet to play😜 Anyway, back to this game, please don't hesitate to buy it, you really won't be disappointed and whatever problems ppl were having appeared to have bern completely sorted out now and it plays perfectly!
